Wonderful Hotel, very good price, great staff and very friendly. Never tried an evening meal but breakfast was large and quality. The Hotel room was very large and the bed was huge and comfortable. Will be back for sure.

This hotel is in a ideal location for visiting Costwolds. Ample and free parking, check in was straight forward, staff both from reception and restaurant is polite and helpful, breakfast was plentiful and tasted good. The room (18) is spacious the bed is comfortable BUT the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. The carpet especially wasn't well vacuum-cleaned, bathroom...

I really can't fault the customer service here, it is first class. All of the staff were courteous and welcoming. We took our two dogs and we're delighted to find we could take them to dinner in a small snug area in the bar. This is a rarity for hotels that claim to be dog friendly and was very welcome....

Booked 2 nights B & B via Travelzoo as a stopover deal on our way back home ( Fowey /Cornwall - Doncaster). Nice (Dog) Friendly hotel, we stayed in a very nice room (26) which is one of 2 rooms in a small cottage just outside main hotel, easy car parking and Ideal for walking dog around hotel grounds. We stayed at Mayfield House a year ago and was very pleased with service food and location, however this time the food was disappointing. On the plus side, very dog friendly, you can eat your evening meal and breakfast with your dog in the "Snug" area. Near to Malmesbury and Tetbury which is mainly antique shops, we can recommend the...

Stayed recently for three day break. Double room for single occupancy whilst compact had all that is needed to combine business and pleasure, dressing table/desk with easily available power points for I.pad etc, hairdryer provided. Shower room immaculate , good power shower and all one needed. Room service available would prove useful if extra work time needed or simply private...

When we arrived we were shown to our room - an hour or so later a small problem arose at which the management were very quick to react - apologising - and immediately moved and upgraded us ... The service was fantastic ... The hotel is tidy but a little tired ... The breakfasts were very good and again the...

Pleasantly surprised when reception offered a room upgrade on realising my wife's health issues. The room was large and clean and had a wet room shower. Nice and quiet and none of the problems mentioned by earlier reviewers. Good cooked breakfast. Only downside was a staff row in the kitchen!

We visited here for a two night stay during our week off. The location is pretty and parking plentiful (albeit badly lit). We were shown our room which was a decent size and had two beds in it; a single and a double. When inspecting the room further I happened upon the bathroom- this absolutely stank of oil and cooking...

The hotel is in need of modernisation, it felt old and very tired. The heating went off during the first night to the extent I could see my breath, it was still cold the other nights even though the thermostat was turned up. The bathroom smelt of cooking fried food which made my clothes smell of fat. The food was...
