The hotel is in need of modernisation, it felt old and very tired. The heating went off during the first night to the extent I could see my breath, it was still cold the other nights even though the thermostat was turned up. The bathroom smelt of cooking fried food which made my clothes smell of fat. The food was...

Our stay, under very sad circumstances was made "easy" by all the staff. The room was very comfortable and clean although the fittings could do with updating. The food was excellent as was the bar and waiting staff.

Myself & many others in my family travelled here just after christmas. John our duty manager & Sian checked our group in with ease & huge smiles all round, helped us to our rooms & gave us all relevant information. Room 17 decor is dated, but clean & comfortable. Shower abit afraid of pressure. We had a large family meal...

We enjoyed everything about this hotel - its location, our comfortable room, the atmosphere, the food and especially the friendly staff. We spent four days here over Christmas and made the most of every minute. We had one of the 'dog friendly' allocated rooms and it didn't disappoint. It was warm, cosy and comfortable and the towels and all sundries were...

The hotel has maintained a traditional yet comfortable atmosphere providing a relaxed and enjoyable stay. Our allocated room was a good size with a well equipped bathroom both of which were maintained during our...

I have given this hotel an average rating but I may be a little too kind. The hotel is dated but I don't get too hung up about that if it's comfortable. However, beds ok even though they are coil Spring mattress but pillows like rocks. The over bath electric shower had no flow at all. I used the bath...

This is a handy place to stay in this area and offers good value for money. Breakfast was nice but access to the restaurant needs ramps (which they have) if you are a wheelchair user. Room that we had has been upgraded and was very large and spacious. Bathroom was a great bathroom for disabled access. Down sides - bathroom...

We stayed here as the result of a travel offer. Consequently the two night stay was exceptional value. The location was excellent being very close to both Tetbury, Malmesbury and Cirecester. All worth a visit. The hotel was particularly dog friendly judging by the number of dogs with owners in residence. The bedrooms were clean and spacious. Even though our...

Our stay was not without problems, which were addressed by hotel management for our second night. They clearly cope better when not full. The restaurant is good and the service efficient and friendly. Quite a good centre for the southern Cotswolds with plenty of places to visit reasonably close by. Watch out for the Credit Card surcharge

I came with a group of friends and was slightly disappointed. One starter on our table was forgotten and you could hardly see the portion of parfait on my partners plate. The main course was only average. My sweet was meringue with no sugar runny mousse and a few seeds. For a four star hotel we were disappointed
