Awful Stay !!!!! The Castle Inns owners certainly like customers recognise their status which make for a very uncomfortable and overbearing visit. Very expensive food & drinks. If you plan to visit Castle Combe please take my advice and eat at the White Heart. Asked not to stay in room 6. The neighbours who obviously have issues with this hotel...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights and it was a perfect getaway. The hotel is lovely and very well maintained and all the staff were very friendly. Castle Combe itself is picture perfect and I would definitely recommend a stroll around the village.

Room was incredibly comfortable, bathroom modern but in keeping with old world charm. Room was impeccably clean with a great hating system. Amazing food in restaurant, Very helpful and cheerful staff. Great breakfast.

We booked this hotel largely because of the positive reviews on trip advisor. We stayed 2 nights. The hotel is very cute and "old world" but that's the extent of the positive things I can write about it. We traveled with our 2 small children and were given a room that was only slightly larger than Harry Potter's room under...

As will be clear from our website, The Castle Inn is a medieval building and the rooms are not of the style or size of a modern hotel. When you checked in you were shown Room 9 which had been allocated and a second room in case you required additional space. You declined the extra room. We regret the food...

We have just spent two nights at this hotel, situated centrally in the village of Castle Combe in Wiltshire. This building is centuries old and the limited modernisation has been effective and made it a really comfortable place to stay. Many quaint, old hotels have bags of character and little comfort. This is a happy exception. We slept very well...

Late booking so we were up on the second floor.... but comfortable, cosy and nice. Restaurant even better than last year, we thought (and last year was pretty good!) Hear there's a new chef. All the staff were lovely, looked after us and made us feel cared for, without being intrusive in any way. Good to see the bar tender...

Nice little inn in a quaint, tidy and picturesque village. Staff here are smart and attentive but not overbearing. Not formal for lunch. Soup, sandwich and drinks for two below £28... So not the cheapest but it's a great venue to visit in an ideal setting. My advice is reserve the seat in the picture top left in advance as...

We only had lunch here so cannot comment on any other meal or accommodation. The hotel looks beautiful lovely setting etc. Staff are friendly. My problem was that I ordered a smoked salmon fennel and cucumber sandwich. To be honest I wasn't sure that there was any cucumber in there and even the waitress thought it was all fennel when...

We stayed in this fabulous olde worlde hotel for 3 nights. It's been sympathetically renovated so not only is it comfortable but still has character and charm, beams and wonky floors - wonderful. We had room 5 which was very comfortable. The bathroom was very modern despite the character of the room, so we got the best of both worlds....

Beautiful hotel, full of charm and history. Comfortable rooms, historic features everywhere and with excellent courteous and attentive service, without being intrusive. We had a meal in the restaurant, the chicken chasseur with an abundance of wild mushrooms in a delicious creamy sauce and succulent chicken is highly recommended. 5 stars all round.
