We had a lovely meal here on a very sunny Bank Holiday Monday. Despite being extremely busy, the staff managed to keep their composure and attended to all our needs in a very gracious manner. The food was delicious. We particularly liked the fabulous antipasti and dipping bread and the delicate, delicious passion fruit cheesecake. At £30 a head for... More

A friend and I stopped in for lunch on a very busy day earlier this month when visiting the village. Service was welcoming and friendly, and our lunch was *very* good. Based on our experience in the restaurant, I'd definitely come back and try the hotel...I think the village deserves an overnight stay, as it's so packed with tourists in... More

The hotel is quaint and in a lovely location with good walks around. The staff are helpful, friendly and accommodating. Our room had a clean, recently refurbished bathroom and equipped with excellent wifi and kettle and coffee machine. My husband enjoyed his scrambled egg and bacon at breakfast. However, the four poster bed required you to be proficient at scaling... More

we had lunch here on a sunny sunday, castle coombe village is very small and busy, b prepared to park at car park and walk down to village.. We had lunch - the staff seemed very pleasant and the lunch we had was very good quality French bread style sandwiches, not the cheapest but the quality and quantity was there..... More

Whilst recently visiting the beautiful Cotswolds village of Castle Combe, we couldn't help but notice the charming Castle Inn Hotel in the centre of the village. Very nice building with plenty of colourful hanging flower baskets and a small terrace on the front. We hadn't reserved a table, but as it was lunch time we decided to sit and wait... More

Lovely olde worlde type hotel with modern modcons inside, except no aircon! There was a fan in the room which could not be positioned to cover both of us. Having said that, the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast staff were not ready for the 7:30 start which left me little time to enjoy mine, as I had to leave by... More

We ended our visit to breathtakingly beautiful village of Castle Combe by having dinner at the lovely-looking Castle Inn. Big mistake. My son's over-cooked burger seemed to contain flour and onion and it was served in a rock hard multigrain roll (neither of which was mentioned in the menu description); it was also served with salad despite reiterated requests to... We had a special birthday lunch there - they had allocated the Oak Room, and could not have been more helpful from the moment we walked in with birthday balloon and flowers. They allocated staff just to us, provided lashings of free tea for those of us who arrived early, could not have been more helpful to one of the... More

During our stay here we had afternoon tea (very tasty and very reasonable!); dinner in the restaurant (exceeding our expectations) and then also stayed for 2 nights in a room here. Room was spacious and the bathroom big. Good shampoo etc too! We were very pleasantly surprised, especially given the price of the larger hotel next door (around £100 extra... More

Six of us had dinner here on a Friday evening. We booked and I'm pleased, the place got very full and we saw people getting turned away. The food and service was good, some of the portion sizes were pretty small considering the price. We enjoyed our meal - expensive for pub grub though.
