Superb plush, nice mix of old and new. Bed extremely comfortable, luxurious linen and clean. Food exquisite, but not perfect. Serving staff knowledgable and professional. Overall a beautiful old country house, with fine touches, making a memorable, enjoyable special stay. Thank you for making this a stay to remember. Please thank staff involved for the special touches, champagne, chocolates and... More

My mother and I came to the Manor House to celebrate my birthday. Needless to say we were not disappointed at all. The Manor House is breath taking, the staff are so polite and helpful. The food served was Amazing, cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. I would recommend this place to anyone!

There were some pros and cons to this one. A most beautiful hotel in the most superb grounds. Upon arrival at the door and unloading the bags my husband and I had to take them to reception ourselves whereas one would expect a member of staff to come and collect the bags from the car. I booked in while my... More

A delicious and beautiful afternoon tea! The array of sandwiches, scones and pastries looked great and tasted fabulous. If you can't manage them all you can have the goodies packed up to take away. A large choice of teas, presented on beautiful crockery. The service was first-class. Afterwards we were able to stroll around the gardens of the hotel. It's... More

Looking for the quintessential English country manor experience? It's here. The setting is breathtaking. The manor and outbuildings are set between a small river and the village of Castle Combe, "the prettiest village in England." An easy walk takes you from one to the other, and it will be hard to resist pulling out the camera at every step. The... More

This hotel appears to show a blatant disregard for the Health & Safety of some disabled guests, despite assurances to the contrary at the time of booking. It would appear that the ethos of this hotel is that disability issues are not profitable and should therefore be disregarded. It is a shame that the General Manager does not have the... More

Deserves all of its 5 stars. Excellent in every respect from the delightful setting to the magnificent building, from the very high standard of furnishings to the superb service. A lovely romantic hotel in beautiful grounds. Pricey but absolutely worth the money compared to many. Highly recommended. The excellent Bybrook restaurant separately reviewed here.

We recently held our wedding celebration at the Manor House that combined guests from all over the world descending on the Manor House for a weekend-long celebration culminating in the wedding ceremony at the end. Given all of the complexities of organising, arranging and coordinating with so many complexities and individual needs, we were absolutely BLOWN AWAY by how seamlessly,... More

Set in beautiful grounds in the exquisitely pretty village of Castle Combe, this hotel has the appearance of the classic English country house hotel. You cannot fail to be impressed on arrival along the long manicured borders of the pot hole free driveway, at the impressive grandeur of the buildings. The staff are attentive and helpful making check-in an easy... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything we anticipated about an English countryside visit was fulfilled here. We only wish we'd planned a longer stay and definitely plan to return. The staff were lovely and the food was excellent, but the setting is the star.
