Really great location in the centre of town, a few steps from the town square. Very comfortable bed with excellent shower. Freshly cooked breakfast was ample, and a very good selection on offer with decent coffee.

Greeted by a nice lad on reception, but there the positives ended! The hotel corridors and landings were very grubby. The room, which was advertised as "luxury" and "bespoke" with "stunning contemporary artwork" was like a youth hostel room. The reason we decided not to stay there in the end wasn't just that our feet stuck to the floor boards...

I have just left the crown inn and myself and my partner found out for ourselves that the negative reviews on here were unfair. The breakfast was plentiful with pastries, cereal, toast and a full English available (also there is a vegetarian option for those who want it). The facilities are good with complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee, bottled water and biscuits...

Facilities are mediocre, and I experienced extraordinary rudeness when I tried to find out what the vegetarian selection on the breakfast menu comprised. It was Fawlty Towers ish! Not straight talking, as others have said, but plain rude, to a customer. However the young man on duty when I checked in was charming and helpful.

I really don't understand the poor reviews of this place. We visited on a day trip & found it really friendly but takes no nonsense!! I can only assume that the negative reviews come from people who like a rowdy pub!! The landlady is fab, really friendly & keeps a clean well stocked pub. We witnessed her dealing with a...

The main reason I would not go back to the Crown is the noise. We stayed on Saturday night and our bedroom was physically vibrating with the noise of music. It was seriously intrusive. In addition, they have a weird system for ordering breakfast where you have to tell them the night before what time you will be down the...

Just truly faultless couldn't have asked for a better stay, highly recommended if you want to get away from everything as me and my partner did, truly spectacular. Food was impeccable and the staff were so attentive I couldn't have asked for a better level of service

The Crown Inn is located in the centre of town. Everything is a short walk away. Very convenient. As I arrived, I was welcomed by a very friendly member of staff of which recognised me from a previous visit a little while back. After making a payment for the room at a very fair price, the young lady then took...

I stayed here with my family for a couple of nights as we were attending a friend's wedding in Hebden Bridge. The location is perfect - easy access to all amenities, and the breakfasts on both mornings were so extensive we literally rolled out of there. The owner was so hospitable and made us feel at home throughout our stay,...
