Strategically positioned between Florence and Siena, in the heart of the Chianti region, Villa Il Pozzo will impress its guests with stunning views of the gentle rolling hills leading to the extraordinary ancient towers of San Gimignano. All its beautiful apartments are personally furnished by Mrs. Gori with precious original antiques. Amenities include a magnificent Mediterranean-style swimming pool, a private library with recent and antique literature, a breathtaking classical Tuscan garden with hand-carved stone balusters and huge terracotta urns. Our guests may stroll through the olive groves and vineyards surrounding the Villa and taste the excellent Chianti wine and Olive Oil produced by the farm. Stucco, frescoes, and high hand-painted ceilings make Villa Il Pozzo the perfect place for an unforgettable vacation. At walking distance there are a family-owned Tuscan Restaurant, a mini-market, and one of the oldest churches of the region. Following an old tradition, all the weddings of the Gori family members are celebrated in this Romanic jewel.

Donate is a very friendly guy that explains nice details on the nice wines that the very ancient estates produces. Very enthusiastic as he is, he invites you into the fields to explain the history of the grapes, the terroir as well as the landscape of the estate. We enjoyed the tour and took some cases of their nice red wines home. Thank you Donate!

We visited villa il pozzo for the day for a wine tasting experience. I have done a few wine tasting experiences but this one was by far the best. The host was fantastic, views were spectacular and the food and wine were both excellent. Our host was a lovely, charismatic man who was extremely passionate about his job, the day wouldn’t have been the same without him there. Overall a very personal and special day and the perfect way to expand your wine knowledge in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Would highly recommend this wine tasting experience to anyone.

Beautiful setting for a fabulous wine tasting. Bernato was a friendly and knowledgable host, who has a true passion for his work. The wine was beautiful and paired perfectly with local Tuscan food. Would 10/10 recommend!

We didn’t stay at the hotel but we did go for the wine tasting. The host was personable and his English was perfect. We learnt a lot about the area and the venue, as well as a lot about wine (and how to taste it). Would highly recommend doing this as a morning out as it was the right amount of time and the wine was delicious (and there was more than enough of it!)

An old Tuscan Villa with a tower, plus set of picturesque smaller buildings grouped around an old well, ample garden with mature trees, lawns and terraces with fentastic views of surrounding Chianti caountryside! Landscaped terraces will lead you do0wn to the outdoor pool with a view of nearly thousand years old romanesque abbey church seated on the hill. Terrazza and Buuenavista appartments have wide opened views to the landscape with towers of San Giminiano and Certaldo clearly visible. A real hidden gem to be remembered and to come back for best vacation time!
