Pelican Eyes is an amazing place to have a wedding. They help you with the planning and every single detail from start to finish. Our guests had a wonderful time..they loved the villas, view, food...and the helpful staff. Joel Lennon, the resort's wedding planner, was easy to reach while I was in Boston. Our wedding reception was a success because...

We stayed at the Pelican Eyes Resort for a week in February and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This resort was quiet, away from the hustle of downtown San Juan, and quite comfortable. We stayed in the second phase of the development in a 1 BR studio and it was quite large, clean, with comfortable beds and incredible, sweeping, ocean views....

Went to pelican eye's bar and pool today. The view was absolutely great! Our server Ramfis gave us the best service I've had in a long time! Offered us a private table overlooking the pool and the view and even moved the table for us to be in the shade! Throughout the afternoon he was absolutely great, grade A service....

The room was gorgeous, the long walk up the beautiful brick walkway was easily worth the views. It is a 5 minute walk on the end of one of the main streets coming off of the beach. Gorgeous views and greenery all around. We had a very friendly and accommodating (with our spanish) waitress named Maria.

Pros: room accommodations, views, some staff (not Cindy from from desk) Cons: For $250 a night in Nicaragua while late check out was not possible a courtesy shower should be available. When I discussed this with the front desk I was offered a shower within the spa after booking a $55 massage... I also emailed the manager with no response....

This hotel is hugely overpriced. I wish I had read and believed the negative reviews and I would not be here now. We are elderly and are in the farest highest room in the development. Just to get to the pool took 15 minutes and I was unable to climb back up to my room. They offered us another room...

We spent a month in San Juan Del Sur and went to Pelican Eyes one evening for dinner and to watch the sunset . This is the worst meal we had on our entire trip and also the most expensive. The bar couldn't even make a drink they had listed on the drink menu (Manhattan) The service was slow the...

It is difficult to describe and rate this resort because some of the complaints that others have written about are well founded. I would agree that the Phase II location is difficult if you do not have a vehicle but because we did, we could park right outside our enormous casita and walk across the driveway to the bar and...

Underwhelming...wait staff totally confused, no cushions on chairs, uncomfortable, Rickety, old and sometimes no chairs available as it Open to anyone who wants to hang out...no boat available over a 4 day stay as there needs to be a minimum number of people. Not a 4 star resort at all. Good local pizza in town.

We had reserved a small villa but got 'bumped' to a large villa at the top of the property that was beautiful. Large living room, dining room, full kitchen with all needed dinnerware and utensils for cooking, a huge bathroom and bedroom with balcony. The pools are infinity while the service for food and drinks were less than attentive. We...
