I woke up at Coco Azul with the sun streaming through the shutters and the soft sound of the wind through palm trees. I enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee in a hammock right outside while the breakfast was being prepared. Breakfast was a hearty meal with pancakes, fruits and juices. After breakfast I spent the rest of the day...

This hotel is a cute place to stay in the Heart of San Juan Del sur. It is clean and well maintained . Just a minute walking distance from the Beach and all the restaurants. Ideal if you want to be close to everything.

I was thinking about staying at La Posada Azul but ended up staying at its sister property El Coco Azul. It is not only cheaper but also (slightly) closer to the Beach. They only had a family room (with shared bathroom) available at the time, so I paid about US$45 and stayed in a room with 4 beds, all by...

We arrived at SJS for 1st time and stayed in this hotel coz it looked very nice at first. Only later we realized that it was way more expensive than the other hotels around, with apparently no reason: - Shared bathroom which means u will find it dirty once it is always used by someone else - No facilities at...

The rooms are big as is the shared bathroom we had. Everything was very clean and the staff is very helpful! Breakfast is included and was delicious!...

Next door to the very nice Posada Azul El Coco is half the price. I stayed four night upstairs with a private bath. The breakfast changed eat day and wasn't filling but adequate. The coffee is always ready at 6:30 am. There is no A/C but a good fan and I had no hot water but got used to the...

Rooms at this hotel are huge (for four or more people), so you will either share it with other people or have to pay for the entire room to have some privacy (and that makes it quite expensive). We were two in a room for six people, for instance. It was generally clean, but there were animals (most likely rats)...

We are sorry you did not have a good experience at Coco Azul ...I would like to address some of your issues. Yes the rooms are large so we have put in enough beds to accommodate families or small groups of friends that want to share a room, and we feel our prices are fair for what we offer. We...
