My husband and I are staying at the Alcazar for just 1 night before heading back to Canada. We were in San Juan del Sur visiting our son and decided to stay at a hotel for our last night so as not to bother him when we were being picked up by the shuttle at the very early hour of... More

The Alcazar is a very nice hotel for a decent price. The hotel offers the standard amenities that Americans have come accustomed to when traveling stateside. Read some reviews and you'll learn that the hotel is across the street from a bar that sits on the beach. Yes, it is loud when the tourists are partying, but I stayed here... More

Small, clean, comfortable, and well kept hotel with super friendly service. Good continental breakfast and close to good restaurants. Unfortunately there is a noisy techno disco across the street open from Thursday to Sunday until late night. Stayed for three nights starting on a Sunday so it the noise didn't bother me at all. Spotty wifi however. I recommend this... More

We have been here for 1 week. Accommodations are very upscale. Staff are all excellent, Alfredo Castro is outstanding. Try his cocktails, all from scratch and fantastic. Lorna Lopez was excellent in directing us to the perfect restaurant. Claudia was so helpful in helping us adjust to the Nicaraguan culture. All the staff went out of their way to ensure... More

Hotel & staff are great, unfortunately location can be an issue for some. Beware that this hotel is across a discotheque that will play overly loud music, 6 nights a week, until 4am. Ear plugs are no use there. Meaning: if you're going to party and sleep in the morning, you'll appreciate this amazing hotel with balcony rooms, beach view,... More

We arrived after a long drive down from Esteli looking for a place to stay. Ended up paying approximately $180 for three of us to stay here. Attractive modern place, but what they don't tell you, it is just across from a disco that plays idiotic crap techno music until 3 in the morning, so you will NOT be sleeping.... More

The Staff was great! Very friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed the pool. Great Music and Ambience. Alfredo Castro was like our own personal bartender, bringing my lady and I excellent drinks right to what seemed like our own personal pool. It's located in the Heart of San Juan Del Sur right across from the beach and several great restaurants.... More

Hotel Alcazar was a delightful experience! After making my reservation, the hotel sent me an e-mail with information about the transfers that they offer, including one from the airport in Managua. Since my flight was arriving in the evening, I had already booked a room at Camino Real, adjacent to the airport. Hotel Alcazar made arrangements to pick me up... More

A boutique hotel with a Mediterranean feel, eclectic yet minimally decorated and very clean - this is as good as it gets on this strip. The room was pretty gorgeous, spacious, comfortable, and overlooked a semi-quiet section of strip. You're in near walking distance from everything you need in this town - the best restaurants, shopping, and directly across from... More

What a perk to call this hotel our home base after a long day at the beach. Beds were comfortable, the bathroom clean with a modern touch, AC worked like wonders...beautiful stay! The noise from the local restaurants did not bother us. Enjoyed the small pool outside our room. I would stay here again! Oh yeah...best part is that it... More
