Amazing hostel! Kitchen is great, large lockers and the staff is super helpful. Beautiful pool and rooftop hang out area with hammocks. Relaxing place in a great town! There is a volleyball net over the pool and the dorms are very clean.

I stayed 3 nights in Surfing Donkey. It is great place to meet people if you are travelling alone. Fully equiped kitchen and a very affordable bar. There is a really nice pool WITH a volleybal net inside. I can recommend this hostel to all travellers that like a party!

Beautiful little place with all you need and even more... dorms are cleans and have big lockers. Nice pool to play Voleyball and relax after a hard day at the beach. Bar in the hostel that makes excellent drinks for an interesting price. Nice place to stay few nights, drink, swim and chill! Recommend it for people 18-30.

The surfing donkey is located just outside the main centre, lovely place with a nice pool and good breakfast. Unfortunately there are bedbugs and they are known for it (other hostels do not allow people coming from surfing donkey because of the bedbugs). I got them when I was there. First they said it were mosquitobites. I really had to...

Hi there, We apologize for the issue with the bed bugs. Every hostel in Nicaragua deals with bedbugs at some point. We have been hit pretty hard by them this season. Bed bugs are not an issue that can be permanently fixed. Consistent fumigation is not healthy for guests, but we fumigate as often as possible to deal with the...

I was originally planning on staying at other hostels, but this wasn't too bad. A lot of people go to San Juan Del Sur to party, and this hostel fits the bill. It's a party hostel and it gets real loud. It's impossible to sleep early, but if you're looking to party this hostel is a great alternative from the...

Our first impression when we checked in was okay, the layout was nice, pool and patio and all that looked good, although the staff were less than friendly. We booked a private room that was semi-clean, the beds seemed fine but the shower drain was full of hair and there was soap scum on the walls. Then when we were...

We had a great stay here. The staff is really nice and funny, feels like a big family. If you are interested in partying this is the place to go. Furthermore the surfshop they are cooperating with is fantastic. The owners are really nice, they have good prices and even took us to a family trip with them.

Unlike some of the other big hostels in SJDS, this place is slightly more chilled. A pool with a volleyball net, a nice bar, a kitchen to cook in and keep costs down, its a winner. The dorm is only fan, which down here is not really sufficient, so you won't have the best sleeps. Also, the staff are a...

It is a good place to hang out and relax during the day and for having a few drinks in the night. Nice doorms, good space and lockers. Clean. Pool. Kitchen and free pancakes and coffe. It is a bit expensive compared to rest of Nicaragua but everything here is about the same.
