Tashgorkan isn't big on luxury hotels, the Crown Inn is the closest you'll get. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and during our stay the owner offered us free breakfast. On reception, the staff speak English. Highly recommended for those seeking someone where comfortable to rest their heads after heading down the KKH.

Decent hotel clean and very well appointed bedrooms and free Wifi Evening meals and Breakfast were both good Pleasant staff Only 5 minutes walk to the main shopping area. Tashkurgan has plenty to keep you occupied. (On the other side the beds were quite hard so be aware)

We love Tashkurgan and we love the quaint little Crown Inn Hotel. This was our third stay in this Singaporean owned hotel (our first was in 2009) and we were delighted that the same high standard has been maintained, and the hotel and rooms are immaculate and in very good condition. We were surprised that even the brightly coloured "Crazy...

We were told this is the best place in Tashkurgan, and while we cannot confirm that, it is definitely very clean and comfortable to rest after a long drive from Kashgar. Comfortable, with decent internet connection; it was worth staying at this place. Manager (& owners) are Singaporean, and speak good English, and helpful. Front desk closes at 10PM and...

The reviews were right! This is a wonderful little place in the small and peaceful town of Tashkorgan. It's a wonder such a modern, clean, well kept place exists in this sleepy town. The manager and his wife speak good English and are always around to help. The breakfast was wonderful. It was a joy to find yoghurt and granola...

We were much skeptical about finding a decent place in the small town. Our guide told us that this was a 5* facility in the area. While it doesn't have any infinity swimming pools or multi-cuisine restaurants, it is indeed a 5* facility in terms of cleanliness and service. We were greeted by the Manager of the facility who spoke...

Modern and clean, with decent internet connectivity and walkable to all the sights. The food was pretty good, too. Jeanette was a great resource and helped us stay out of trouble! The front desk is not manned 24 hours and the doors are locked late at night, so make sure you let them know if you are stepping out to...

Tashkurgan, a primarily Tajik enclave near the China-Pakistan-Tajikistan border, is a very lovely small mountain town to spend a few days, and, as others have noted, the Crown Inn is arguably the best (if not only) place to stay if you are looking for western-style amenities. It is warm, clean and well-lit, with reliable hot water, modern bathrooms and stable...

Tashkirgan is a relatively small, mainly Tajik, town on the Karakoram Highway not far from the border with Pakistan and Tajikistan. At 10,100 ft it can get quite cold and it snowed when we were then in May. The elevation also can lead to altitude sickness and Diamox is recommended to counter the effects. The Crown Inn is the best...
