We stayed in both the Kuche Grand Hotels. The five star hotel in the front offers clean and comfortable rooms and a great breakfast. The three star (or less..) in the back hal old basic rooms. The staff is very friendly, not that great in English, but they try! Great service.

We stayed one night at this lovely hotel, which we were told is only two years old, and wondered how it made sense to build something this big in a place like Kucha. The answer, which we found out later, is that the area has rich hydrocarbon deposits and is undergoing an oil money boom.Anyway, the rooms were large and nice and... After a grueling journey through the desert we decided to treat ourselves to a luxury hotel in Kuqa. This is the big hotel at the front, the 5 star. The entrance is quite spacious with a big in house restaurant. Typical place for tour groups (which is not to say it is bad!). Rooms where immense, more suite like. Very... More

The three star hotel behind the five star. There is an old phrase in Chinese - Meng Mu San Qian (Mencius' Mother Three Moves). Well, we too had three different rooms in two days. The first room was hot and the air conditioning did not work at all. After a back and forth with the staff, who didn't really want... More

There appear to be 2 Kuche Grand Hotels, this review is for the 3 star that is behind the 5 star. We arrived in Kuqa very early and didn't expect to be able to do anything more than leave our bags, but the very helpful staff let us check in even though it was before 7am. This attitude was typical... More

We stayed here 3 nights with a tour group. The dining area is a glass house away from our hotel room. It was nicely decorated for a wedding. The room is dimly lit. It will be good if there is full length mirror. Adjacent to the hotel are shops selling grocery, including nuts. There is also a pharmacy. We love... More

Best hotel during our 3 week tour in Xinjiang. Beautiful vast lobby, helpful staff with English spoken. Large size rooms that were clean with understated and classy decor. Firm but comfortable beds with a selection of pillows - regular and buckwheat. Everything in the room worked including hot water in the shower. No complimentary water in rooms though. Wifi in... Hotel bedroom -large with very old worn carpet, no fridge or safe in room. The staff were not helpful. Toilet not working, reported it in the morning and when returned late afternoon, still not repaired. Had to relocate to another room. Breakfast is purely Chinese with only greasy eggs and bread for westerners. The staff were very inattentive and even... More

The hotel is managed by han chinese and is mainly catered to han chinese travellers. The breakfast hall is beautiful (it is actually a glass farm house! full of trees and plants and nice green surrounding) but the food is not!. You may stay this hotel if you are looking for bed to sleep on only.
