Nirvana Hotel has 15 cozy guest rooms with private bathroom. We have rooms with a double bed and rooms with twin beds. Room facilities: very clean bed with soft mattress (rare in China!) 2 showers in each bathroom, including a rain shower water cooker complimentary coffee and tea complimentary mineral water complimentary toiletries hair dryer clean towels daily We also have dorm rooms. Each dorm room has 6 beds. Bathroom is shared, 2 showers and 2 toilets.

Prior to arriving at the hotel, we contacted the owner, Clary, for recommendations for drivers and also switching our reservation nights. She was super helpful and responsive -- even calling several times to confirm and make sure the information was correct. The hotel is well located within short walking distance of Labrang. The rooms are nicely decorated with local touches and the lobby has a small gift shop with local items. We enjoyed our stay and will stay here again if we return.

The hotel is very well located near Labrang Monastery. The rooms are relatively spacious and clean. However, the Dutch owner of the hotel is not very welcoming nor friendly. The greeting is cold and there is a real lack of interaction with the guests. It’s a pity.

We stayed for a night and really enjoyed the stay. The Dutch owner was really helpful and gave detailed instructions on how to trek the kora and about the monastery. The food was great, especially the Tibetan dishes. The location is special since it is right next to the monastery and the stream and the view of the hill opposite is nice, The room and decor overall was nice with some cool Tibetan Artifacts. We had an extra day on our hands and spent it at the Nirvana resort run by the same Dutch and Tibetan couple which was totally worthwhile.

Spent 2 nights in Nirvana hotel, localisation is great, restaurant is excellent, good atmosphere overall. The rooms directly in front of the main road can be a little bit noisy, cars are honking crazy every time the light is going green. We asked to change for a room in the back, the owner was super nice and helped us right away. We appreciated our stay and felt at home for 2 nights in Xiahe. Thanks Clement & Pauline

We loved this hotel. It is located within a short walk from Labrang monster, close to many small stores, restaurants, etc. The hotel is very cute, with a cozy atmosphere and lovely decorations. They have a good restaurant on the first floor where we had several meals. If you are looking for diversity, there are many other restaurants within a short walk. You can park on the street outside of the hotel which was very convenient.

The dorm and bathroom were very clean and the bed very nice. The staff was very helpfull and the hotel was decorated in Tibetan style. In de restaurant I had the best hotpots ever (also try the vegetable one!!). And ther were lots of other Tibetan and Cinese dishes on the menu.

While taking a mini holiday we drove 4-5 hours from Xining, where we life, to Labrang, Xiahe. We stayed for two nights at the Nirvana hotel. Very nice rooms, clean and friendly owner and staff, recommended. During daytime we explored an area about 10km Southwest of the Sangke grasslands.

We had a lovely two-night stay at Nirvana Hotel and found it to be a perfect place from which to base our trip to Labrang Monastery. The hotel is excellent value, with comfortable rooms and facilities, a very convenient location, and Clary was a great host - providing us with useful tips and recommendations for the Monastery and hikes in the beautiful surrounding countryside. Labrang came at the tail end of a busy week long trip around Gansu, but the excellent accommodation at Nirvana contributed greatly to a wonderfully relaxing couple of days. Thanks Clary and team!
