We can't say enough wonderful things about our stay at Gage Mansion! It was so conveniently located to beautiful raystown lake where we had spent the day kayaking. Upon our arrival Nancy was waiting and beyond accommodating, she immediately took our personal breakfast order for the next morning and showed us around the mansion before taking us up to our 3rd floor turret room. We were in love with the room, it was everything we expected! It was so bright and clean and welcoming, and the room had anything you could need. The next morning Nancy personally delivered everyone's breakfast to their room due to covid 19 restrictions and not being able to eat down stairs, she could not have been a better host. Everything she does to take care of the mansion and its guests absolutely shines throughout all the little details. My wife and I will be regulars here, we're actually returning for our anniversary in October!

Unsure of what to do for my husband’s 60th birthday during these scary times of Covid, we thought a nice little getaway to do some fly fishing would be a welcome treat. We chose the Gage Mansion after looking at the reviews and pictures in Trip Advisor. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The innkeeper, Nancy, was just lovely and so accommodating, she made us feel right a home, and she’s a fabulous cook! Breakfast was delicious every day. The rooms were beautiful and clean, we felt very safe as everyone was wearing their masks and the tables were more than six feet apart. One night we were the only ones there, as it was a Monday, and Nancy could not have been nicer. We will return again to this lovely inn in the Allegheny Mountains. Maybe next time we will catch more fish!

Wanting to visit the Raystown Lake region for a while now and came across the Gage Mansion in the travel guide. Just seeing the ad made us want to stay here and we could not have enjoyed our time more. Nancy is a wonderful innkeeper, very accommodating and pleasant. Our room (#203) was large and inviting, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom was filled with fluffy soft towels and robes. The couch provided an extra sleep area. Our breakfast order was taken when we arrived and you can set your time. In the morning your seat was ready and your delicious and ample home cooked breakfast was ready. We stayed 3 nights and each breakfast was awesome. The mansion is beautiful, the sitting areas are inviting. The side of the house with the gazebo was lovely to sit in and relax after our busy days visiting the Raystown Lake area and Trough State Park. We really enjoyed our stay - Thank You!!

Our brother booked the Gage Mansion for us, renting 5 rooms for our family gathering. We had a lovely experience and would recommend the B&B to anyone visiting Huntingdon. Each room was unique, some smaller than others, some experiencing the train noises, one with a private lanai and exterior staircase. We spend hours talking together both in the living room and the small patio out back. The highlight was, as so many others have reviewed, was our breakfasts prepared by Nancy. Our first breakfast consisted of frittatas, homemade banana bread and sausage. Nancy out did herself for our last breakfast: pancakes with homemade blueberry syrup, fruit smoothies, bacon, orange juice and fresh fruit. One member of our family is lactose intolerant and Nancy prepared special meals just for her. I think we gained a few pounds during out stay!

The house was spotless and rooms impeccably clean. We observed Nancy ironing the bed sheets as she prepared a room for new guests.

All in all a lovely experience.

This is a special treat for us to stay here and we enjoy every bit of it. The house is historically authentic with lovely, polished but welcoming aspects. I can't decide where to sit and relax as the bedroom, the living room and the outside garden seating are all favorite locations. Nancy, the innkeeper, is just lovely in her manner and the deep care she gives, especially seen in breakfast. I had the excellent frittata with gruyere cheese and herbs. I tasted Dan's yogurt and berry crepes. Wonderful. The savory mini potatoes were done to perfection and the blueberry muffin was the best I've ever had. The open outside green space is perfect for a venue with the charming gazebo we sat beneath last night. We stayed in room #205, but every room has it's own unique touch; some with a couch, some with a balcony. #205 has an armoire from The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe, and a small but comfortable seating area, from where I am typing. This B&B is a gem, don't miss it.

We spent a great weekend in the area mountain biking at Raystown. Coming back to this wonderful retreat was the perfect way to relax and recover after a day of riding. Nancy is warm, welcoming and clearly loves her work. She is passionate about great food and her breakfasts were spectacular. I'll never forget the brûléed grapefruit!

We've stayed in several B & B's in PA (Lititz, Gettysburg & New Hope) & this one has the most character of them all-by far.

Having the private porch with its own spiral stair case off room 204 was a great feature. While that room might have been a bit smaller than others, we loved it. Sitting outside our room to enjoy coffee or cocktails was the best. The yard has two other great sitting areas-so there is plenty of outside space to enjoy. Nancy offered us several options to safely store our bikes.

The area has many vegetarian friendly dining choices-the Three Twelve Kitchen and Cocktails is directly across the street and Boxers is just half a block away. We loved both of them!

We look forward to returning there & highly recommend to all!

My wife and I stayed at Gage Mansion B&B on March 18 for the Bruce Springsteen concert in State College. I previously lived in Huntingdon many years ago and thought it would be nice to show my wife around town before the show. Gage Mansion was absolutely terrific. When we arrived Nancy, the innkeeper, greeted us at the door and showed us around the place. It’s a beautifully restored building with intricate woodwork and stained glass windows. Nancy gave us a few recommendations for places to get dinner (I never would have guessed that there would be a place that served authentic pho and banh mi in Huntingdon) and then showed us to our room, which was very spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious. We discovered that everyone that had stayed there the night before had gone to the concert, just like us. So we had a nice time talking about the show while we enjoyed quiche, homemade croissants, triple berry cobbler, and French press coffee. Overall, it was a great stay in a very nice, one of a kind place.

Booked this B & B for it's proximity to Orbsonia and the EBT Railroad. The BY&B was easy to find - parking behind the place. We were welcomed by the manager, Nancy. What a wonderful and welcoming soul. We were promptly shown our room and all ammenities. This place was amazing! Polished woodwork abounds, pand the decor takes you back to when the home was originally built, creating a warm and comforting atmosphere. The rooms feature updates throughout, the bathroom looked recently updated. The bed was just so comfortable, I fell asleep almost as soon as my head hit the pillow. Upon waking we enjoyed a scrumptous breakfast that was accompanied by a delicious homemade pumpkin muffin. I can finish by saying that if you are in the area and have a need to find lodging - THIS IS THE PLACE!

This was the first Bed and Breakfast my husband and I have slept in. There were sanitizer bottles found everywhere. The photos on their site are acurate, "what you see is what you get." Nancy was the perfect host and made us a delicious breakfast. The picnic lunch she made for us was perfection. Packed us delicous chicken sandwiches, cheese sticks, macaroni salads, oranges, yogurts, choclate candies, napkins, cutery and a cooler pack and bag! We were able to keep the bag and cooler pack. The picnic lunch was an added fee and you need to let her know in advance. There is private parking in back of the Gage Mansion--off of the street.

This beautiful bed and breakfast is the perfect combination of old and new. The innkeeper is attentive without being intrusive and very hospitable! There was coffee cake and coffee and tea available in the dining room whenever we wanted something to snack on or drink. We had a super breakfast burger that was delicious along with hash browns, juice, and fruit. Our room was comfortable and very nicely decorated. The room and the bathroom were very clean. The tile in the bathroom was gorgeous. There were two candles in the fireplace from the gift shop in the carriage house behind the bed and breakfast. They smelled so good, I bought several candles at the gift shop before we left! I would recommend this gorgeous B&B.
