The Nature Inn at Bald Eagle is an excellent facility professionally managed. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, responsive and professional. The food and meals at the Nature Inn at Bald Eagle State Park is delicious and professionally prepared. We enjoyed our two night stay very much.
Our third stay in 4 months should say it all, very satisfied with the rooms, the breakfast buffet choices, and the food provided for lunch and dinner at an extra cost. The lunch box sandwich was enough for 2 people and very flavorful. The dinner lets you choose 2 meats, 2 sides, and comes with everything you need for the dinner. Again, we split 1 meal. The corn casserole was excellent. The beef entree was very flavorful that we put into the smaller ciabatta roll, good smokey flavor. Both the lunch and dinner options were well worth the price. We added on the pumpkin cheesecake-to die for and carrot cake, also very good. In the evening, there was a fire going in the dining area that made a cold night warmer as well as a great place to have a glass of wine. We'll be back again soon. Our room sported new carpeting. The beds will make your night's sleep restful.…
The Nature Inn at Bald Eagle State Park is an amazing place and the hospitality is simply awesome. Beautiful suite-sized room with views of the mountains and lake. I would say it's truly a "hidden gem" in central PA. Went on several hikes on the numerous trails, even in the snow. It was a most enjoyable experience and will definitely stay again.
The rooms are nicely done, it has a nice vibe to It. The breakfast Is good, to be honest I am looking forward to visit this place again. You wake up In the morning and have this beautiful view of foggy mountains, lakes and just nature at Its best. It has a nice outdoor space, and when It gets dark, you truly feel that you are living in the mountains.
We decided to take a last minute get away, Called and was told they had a cancelation and that was the only weekend available. Being flexible with travel plans, I made a reservation. Jackson, at the front desk, made the process quick and easy. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and helpful. Our room was available a little early, so we were able to check in. (Thank you Hayley) The room was clean and spacious with a view of the forest. Breakfast was provided from 7-10 and was very good. The view of the lake and surrounding area was beautiful. A big thank you to Jackson and Hayley for all you do to make your guest stay so special. Looking forward to a return visit.
We have had a lot of medical "stuff" for 8 months now. We had to reschedule once, and the Inn was very good about transferring our deposit. The "green" e virulent enha ces the stay. Beautiful surroundings, wonderful food, room amenities, and staff. I'm sure they hear this often, but we will be back...
The Nature Inn itself is beautifully constructed, and I was surprised to hear that it was built in 2010, as I would have sworn it was nearly brand new based on how clean and well maintained it was. I spent 3 nights in a "large suite". Unfortunately, all of the "large suites" face away from the lake, but I did enjoy the lesser view from my porch. Bird feeders were full and the birds were putting on a show for us. The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of dresser space, but limited closet space. Kitchenette was a nice touch, with a toaster oven, microwave, small fridge, and sink. Basic dishes and cutlery, fine for heating up leftovers, but not for actually cooking a meal. Did not eat lunch or dinner there, but the daily breakfast was fine. Eggs, meat, potatoes, oatmeal, bread, pastries, and juice, with that beautiful view of the lake. Coffee and tea were available in the lobby all day. All staff we encountered were friendly and attentive. Hiking trails on site were pretty basic, not anything special, but good for a stroll around the property. The main loop is about 2 miles long. Now that I have discovered this place, I'll definitely return.…
If you are looking for a place to just relax and connect with nature, this is the hotel for you. Situated in Bald Eagle State Park, the Nature Inn offers a unique and wonderful getaway whether it be for a week or just a day. First the property itself is beautiful surrounded by nothing but trees and a lake view. There are plenty of trails that pass through here if you are interested in hiking. The beach area for the lake isn't too far either if you want to hop in your car and do some water activities. There is also some great bird watching and they have bird feeders all over the property. If you are not an outdoorsy person, its a great place to just escape and relax with a good book. I like the property size. There are 16 rooms so its not too big or small, but just right. There is plenty of space in both the indoor and outdoor common areas where you can socialize if you want; but plenty of places to find solitude. I was there for a themed weekend they offer, called birds and brews. It was a great experience for me, my husband, and 2 friends who joined us. The inn had speakers and programs that were optional to attend to learn more about the birds in the area; as well as some local brews from breweries and cideries to sample that weekend. The food was excellent. Breakfast is included in your stay, but we got extra meals included with our package weekend. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I like how the rooms are not super luxury as that wouldn't fit the setting of this eco-friendly hotel. However, they have the right amenities to make you feel at home. I highly recommend taking however many days you can spare and booking a stay here!…
-Sigh- Upon checking out I made the joke about wanting to skip the review so I’d have more opportunities to book here but, I’ll go ahead and write it because you guys deserve it! I was able to squeeze in at the Inn for a few days during my son’s spring break. The location is fabulous. The view is fabulous. The staff are fabulous. The accommodations are fabulous…detect the pattern here? There is ample opportunity here for outdoor enthusiasts from birding, fishing, hunting walking/hiking and in the summer when the water is warmer, swimming. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stress free relaxing stay. We hit the jackpot on days because it was suppose to rain but it mostly held off AND the temps were in the 70’s-80’s for a hint at warmer weather to come. All-together this my son’s and my favorite new secret spot…and I think that makes #800 for the reviews (inside joke). Thanks again staff!…
A great place to stay over our chilly 2022 spring break. We are so grateful to the kind staff. The Nature Inn is so clean and well cared for. The view from our room is gorgeous despite the cold and snow. Game night in the library is excellent! All of our food was fresh and filling. We’re looking forward to another trip!
