I was having a wonderful time at Schrute farms until, I saw this guy names Moes peeking though my window in my room at night. The rest of my trip was wonderfull! The service was great! Dwight of Shute farms really came though. Very romantic getaway spot!

You will honestly not regret visiting Schrute Farms. Yeah, the Owner, Dwight, was a little weird but other than that I had such a great time. There was also some guy named Mose who seemed a little weird too but it was still so fun. I would recommend staying in the room Jim and Pam stayed in. They have many... More

We went to the farm. While there, there was a table making display that was, in one word, amazing. We then went on to tour the farms and make our own beet wine! The only problems I had where a snark laughing in the middle of the night and the smell of manure. Enjoyed my stay. Most definitely returning, your... More

Our initial impression when we first pulled into Shrute Farms was not a good one. Typical Victorian wrap-around porch? Check. Obligatory rocker bench? Check. "Prop" farm animals and a few acres of stereotypical picturesque furrowed fields? Check and check. But that was where it ended, because Shrute Farms, as it turns out, is an actual, real-world working beet farm, and... More

We were very lucky to have booked the irrigation room on New Years Eve thanks to a last minute cancellation. When making my reservation I was advised that there would be special activities to ring in the New Year - and boy were there! Upon arrival we were treated to complimentary fermented beet juice to start the party; be careful... More

When Dwight first suggested that we dig a horse grave my boyfriend and I were intimidated. How deep should it be? Dwight said if we hit another horse we had gone too far. So we dug until we saw hooves. We stayed in the Night Time room because we wanted to experience Night even during the day and it didn't... More

My husband and I stayed for three days at Schrute Farms Bed and Breakfast. During those 3 days we were able to get first-hand experience on how to churn our own butter, the right time to harvest beets, how to properly wrestle a horse to the ground, and so much more! From the museum-like atmosphere to the comforting stench of... More

I usually don't believe in miracles or magic, but after spending 44 days at Schrute Farms you can scratch that idea. They had towels made from beets, beet soap, beet slippers, the list goes on and on. The Root Juice, or TRJ for short cleansed out my system, practically a rebuild. When I die, I want to go to heaven,... More
