Hotel's Favorite
Hotel is clean. Staff are amazing. Every amenity is easily accessible. Starbucks coffee. Rooms are bright. Directly across from Hershey Park and Chocolate World. Fritz the Bellman is the best. Restaurants are top quality. Filet Mignon is amazing. Brunch is offered and has an endless number of options in a beautiful, picturesque room. Smores and much more offered at night. Waterpark is amazing. The Poolside Help are also amazing, their chicken Caesar salad and tea are fabulous.

We had a birthday party here. The service was first class and the food was delicious. Chocolate martinis are a must and worth it. The location and historic hotel are just amazing. There are beautiful vistas in every direction. The decor in the main hotel brings you back to the 1920s. Indoor swimming pool is 5star. The onsite gym has all the workout equipment you can dream of and they loan disks for the disk golf that traverses the property. This is a great place for a weekend or a days outing.

I can’t say enough nice things about this resort. There is so much to do on site, and the restaurants and overall dining options are exceptional. The room size is a bit small for today’s standard, but it’s not obnoxiously small so it does not bother me. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool opened at 7 AM which was very flexible and allowed me to enjoy it - it is lovely. We will definitely be returning for a longer trip!!

The actual stay was pleasant, and it was nice to have restaurants and shops in the hotel. The stay was going great until we had to shower and noticed there was mold in the shower. I didn’t believe it was first, but swabbed it with a q-tip and it did transfer. I reported the mold to the front desk but was asked if I wanted to have housekeeping come up and clean it or if I wanted to change rooms, at this point, we just got back from the park and my husband was already asleep (I wouldn’t dare wake him after a 6 hour drive from Ohio). The way this was handled was like this is a common occurrence and just didn’t sit well with me. I wasn’t compensated for this inconvenience, and we just dealt with it and slept with the windows open (No fan in the bathroom to reduce the moisture). Who knows where else this mold is growing. For a room that was $398, I expected cleanliness. I definitely won’t be visiting this location again but for those that do, check your bathroom FIRST! …

Very nice experience at one of the cottages. The room and bathroom are spacious, the fireplace was perfect for a chilly morning. Wish it had been warmer, otherwise the porch and chairs would have been great. Definitely enjoyed Hershey Gardens. On site food at the Harvest was a bit disappointng. The cottages are pricey.

We stayed in the Woodside Cottages which was overall a nice stay. For the amount of money we paid per night, we wish that we could have slept better but the family above us had children running around non-stop. It seems like the buildings should have been built for concealing sound better. Or consideration could have been given to keep a couple upstairs vs under a family. Especially since it seemed like there was plenty of cottages available. The front desk staff and housekeeping staff were great. Overall the hotel has quaint charm but is very dated and not in a sweet historic way. Glad we tried it but will look for something more aligned with the price next time.

We stayed at the Hotel Hershey this past weekend for our daughter's birthday. We have been coming to the hotel at least once a year with our children for the last 10 years. Since the pandemic, the elegance, class, and most of all customer service of the hotel has declined significantly. For example: -There is never a "welcome back" greeting -You are not greeted by your name -When we checked in the woman at the front desk barely made eye contact with us. She handed us our room keys, but never explained the tickets to the Hotel Gardens or Museum, just handed us 2 other sheets of paper which turned out to be a property map and hotel activity list for the weekend. -The bellman who delivered our bags did not orient us to the room or ask us if the room was satisfactory. -By far, the WORST interaction I had was with the concierge. I approached her about switching a dinner reservation time at Harvest from 815 to 745 that evening. Without even checking, she just stared at me blankly and said "they're booked." I then asked what about Circular? She again responded "they're booked too." Never even checking. I was so mad that I called Harvest directly and they were easily able to switch our reservation to 745. Complete laziness on her part. -When I checked out, the woman at the front desk never asked "did you enjoy your stay?" "how was everything?" Not even a smile. -The overall attitude of most staff is "meh". They do not act like they are working for a 4 star hotel, more like a Holiday Inn. Clearly, better staff training is needed. The positives are the grounds are still beautiful and well maintained. The shuttle to the park is very convenient and runs frequently. Our chocolate martininis from the Iberian Lounge were delicious. Lastly, we still had a very good time at the amusement park celebrating our daughter's 8th birthday!! …

All staff was wonderful and friendly! So much to do at hotel ,walking trails, food, shops, indoor/outdoor pool, fitness center and exercise classes for both pool and center, Hershey gardens and more.
