If you are looking for spending quality time with loved ones, Woodloch Pines is the place to go! From the moment you enter the front doors of the main lobby you feel like a treasured guest. The delicious food is never ending, the activities are plentiful and the memories made are everlasting. As a full time working wife and mother, family time is of the greatest importance. On a Woodloch vacation, I don’t have to worry about making a bed, providing a meal, entertaining the kids or lifting a finger to clear a table or do a dish. While visiting Woodloch we focus on stress free, quality family time together. Making deposits into the memory banks of our children is what we do at Woodloch and each trip to this heavenly place is worth every penny! Regardless of the season Woodloch is our favorite place hands down! We talk around the table as we eat each meal, we enjoy the games and challenges during the day often working hard to obtain a coveted medal or we frequent the pool and water slide. Our evenings are filled with delicious meals and family friendly entertainment. The grounds are clean and every space has a purpose. The service is top notch, they are fully staffed at all times, everything is always in perfect working order and there is always a project that they are taking on to bring even more greatness to this peaceful place. Even in the height of the seasons it never feels crowded. Guests there are friendly and seem to share a common bond of enjoying life. The range in rooms available provides options for all budgets. We have stayed in every accommodation and it is always cozy, warm and spotless. Employees work there for decades often finding pleasure watching your family grow throughout the years. From the bus drivers to the owners of the resort, all ensure you feel welcome and appreciated. Woodloch family members and employees are connected to their guests. They go out of their way to meet the needs of every guest. Simple moments spent viewing the lake or sitting by the fireplace inspire a heart of gratitude. Our family of five is always counting down the days until our next trip to Woodloch.

WOW, thank you danicaandsteve! Your review truly nails the overall experience here. Since we opened in 1958, Woodloch vacations have been built on the concepts of family and “togethering,” spending time with one another, and making memories to last a lifetime. Through an array of home-grown activities, a back-to-basics environment, pristine natural surroundings and a truly unique brand of hospitality, guests leave with a renewed sense of connection with their own families. We are all about those bringing those "simple moments" of joy. We want every part of our guests' vacations to be amazing from start to finish, from the accommodations to the food to the activities, amenities and entertainment . . . and it certainly sounds as if you felt that way. Additionally, since our inception, we have been committed to our original mission to “treat all guests as if they were company in their own homes.” This enduring dedication to very personalized treatment of guests is what truly sets Woodloch apart from other resorts. Creating a sense of family here is of the utmost importance to us, and if we can serve as a venue in which families come together to create lifelong memories, we know that we are doing our job. Thank you very much for sharing such kind words here! We look forward to seeing you back again soon. On behalf of the entire Woodloch Family, Steve Kiesendahl

We just got back from our 3 night vacation at Woodloch Pines. We stayed in an Edgewater Suite in the Mt. Laurel building. Our room was spacious and clean with comfy beds and a great view. The resort provided us with a rollaway bed for a nominal cost. Our only complaint (and this is not a big deal) - our room and the room next door shared an adjoining door, and that door let a lot of noise and light through, which kept the children up a little.
It snowed a bit while we were there, and the grounds staff did an amazing job keeping the walkways cleared and salted.
The food was tasty, especially the bread. I liked that we had our own table for the duration of our stay. Our server was a pro, and she made us feel welcome.
We took advantage of many of the amenities. All were great and well run. If we didn’t do something, it was because we couldn’t be in two places at once. We won a gold medal for a trivia contest. Apparently these medals are a big deal, so we’re pretty pleased with ourselves.
Special thanks to the guys in the rifle range, who taught my son to use a .22 rifle safely and effectively.
We definitely plan to come back.

We are honored to hear that Woodloch will become a new family tradition for you, mwk17! Our Edgewater Suites are a great option for guests looking for more spacious suite-style rooms that are conveniently located (and also close to the pool and gym areas)! We do apologize, however, that noise from the neighboring room kept your children up a bit. Please know that you are always welcome to call our front desk anytime with any concerns, and we will do whatever we can to remedy the situation as quickly as possible. Woodloch medals are certainly a big deal, and a big congratulations on taking home the gold! We're glad that you enjoyed our activities and realize it's a bit tricky to get to everything in with so much always going on! During your next visit, you'll have to try the other activities that you couldn't get to this time. We're glad that you enjoyed our dining plan. Our in-house bakery makes all of our breads and baked goods fresh each morning. And having a set table during the course of your stay makes the experience extra easy! Thank you for mentioning our staff. Woodloch would not be the resort it is today without our outstanding and friendly team members, who are always willing to go above and beyond for our guests. Looking forward to seeing you again soon! On behalf of the entire Woodloch Family, Steve Kiesendahl

I can’t begin to describe how perfect this vacation was. We were a bit hesitant to stay here during COVID restrictions and because it was on the higher end of our budget but it was best vacation ever.
We did the meal plans.. We had the same table every day, they accommodated my picky eaters without making me feel like a bad mom. The food was amazing and they served us adult drinks during lunch without judgement lol (I really liked their frozen margaritas!)
The lake is beautiful and everything around it. So clean, organized and well kept. Beautiful trees and flowers and all kinds of details around every corner.

The baby splashed around the white sanded beach while the boys kept going down “the most fun” slide they’ve ever been on. We went out with a kayak and paddle boat and enjoyed the scenic views.
At night I was so surprised to see how they had a magic show and comedy show where they were able to engage ALL of us (Well the baby only cared about the music) but my husband and I laughed just as loudly as my 7 And 5 year old.
The room was very specious and extremely clean as well as the rest of their properties. The views were also spectacular.
With The size of their property, the number of guests cut down to less than 50% capacity but yet so many employees it is hard to believe they were making any money. ALL the employees treated us like royalty so respectful, friendly and helpful. There was someone around every corner to assist with a ride, a question or a drink!
There was so much to do! Every day they added a few different activities on top of their usual activities and all their amenities and all at no extra cost!
And something for every age.
The list didn’t end... we enjoyed the Splash Pool, pool slides, crafts (Which was therapy for my middle boy), lake, beach, go karts, bumper boats, archery, petting zoo, bumper cars, bean bag, mini golf... and of course the indoor jungle gyms.
The boys loved the superhero “training” and the pool games.
All the employees had their masks on at all times and there were sanitizing stations everywhere for guests to clean their hands. They also wiped down equipment after every use. We felt very safe during our entire stay.
We are already looking to come back in the winter!

Thank you very much for your kind words, ChristineTur! It sounds as though you and your family had a wonderful stay and got to take advantage of so many of the activities and amenities that we have to offer. We certainly understand how picky kids can be about their food, and you'll never receive any judgement from us about having a drink at lunch - you're on vacation, and those margaritas are delicious :)! Our goal is always to provide the best possible vacation experience and just let our guests relax and enjoy. One of the great things about Woodloch is how you can truly customize your vacation based on your preferences. The kids can hit the water slides and jungle gyms, the parents can enjoy the beautiful scenic views of our lake, and the whole family can enjoy great music and entertainment. There truly is something for everyone. We consider our staff to be our number one asset, and they are a huge part of our long-term success. We have put family first since we opened 62 years ago, and our staff goes out of their way to make our guests feel completely at home. Woodloch is the very special place that is because of them. Thank you very much again, and we look forward to seeing you back in the winter!

I was a little nervous about staying at a resort amidst the current pandemic, but ended up going for the weekend anyway because I’d been cooped up in the house for so long. It turns out, though, I had nothing to worry about. The staff at Woodloch took social distancing and safety very seriously. Staff wore masks, things were constantly being sanitized, and there were hand sanitizer stations throughout the resort.

The room was comfortable and lovely, though we didn’t spend too much time in it because there was so much to do. My four year old daughter loved the “Boomer” games and was excited to win two medals. We also enjoyed the bumper boats, the go karts, mini golf, and the pontoon boat tour. In addition, we spent a lot of time at the pool and splash pad area which was a lot of fun.

The food was delicious and the take out options worked really well.

The resort itself was beautiful and well-cared for. The grass was lush and green, there were many pretty flowers and gardens everywhere, and we liked seeing and hearing all the birds and other wildlife. Of course, the lake was gorgeous, especially at dusk.

I only wish we had stayed longer, because there was so much that we didn’t get to do during our short stay.

It certainly sounds as though you were able to take advantage of many of our activities and amenities and explore the scenic beauty of our resort. We are very fortunate to be located in such a naturally beautiful area with a plethora of open space. It's definitely a nice change after being cooped up in the house (we get it)! You'll have to come back again soon and enjoy all the things that you weren't able to do this time around :).

Wow! My husband and our 2 girls (ages 4 and 8) just returned home from a fabulous weekend at Woodloch Pines. It was our first visit, so I wasn't sure what to expect, especially during Covid times. I will start off by saying that I am a "bit" neurotic when it comes to Covid safety and I felt extremely comfortable at the resort. Everyone was masked, there were hand sanitizers everywhere, tables in the dining room were far apart and it never felt crowded at all. We stayed in one of the Southwoods homes and it was perfect for us. We never waited more than 5 minutes for a shuttle and when we couldn't figure out the gas fireplace, a staff member was there immediately to show us how. The activities were amazing! There was truly something fun for both of our girls to do all day, and they loved the entertainment at night. Some of the favorites were go-karts, the arcade, virtual reality experience, snow tubing and of course swimming/waterslides in the indoor pool (which there were maybe 4 other people in besides us). My husband took our oldest skiing at Big Bear, and they both had a great time. The food exceeded my expectations! I am a vegetarian and I have 2 picky eaters and there was always something delicious for everyone. Lastly, the staff was incredible. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner who came right over during dinner and introduced himself. Our waitress Val was attentive and even brought over a cupcake for my daughters birthday at dinner. We loved "Super Bob" the shuttle driver, and so many more friendly (masked) faces. Our younger daughter has special needs and everyone went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and happy throughout our stay. What a gem this place is. We can't wait to go back this summer with the rest of our family so they can experience the magic that is Woodloch Pines. This truly lifted our spirits, what a great way to kick off 2021!

284carlyk- Thank you so much for your visit, and for taking the time to share thoughts on your experience! We are delighted to hear we were able to meet (and hopefully exceed) expectations of our resort. With 2020 being such a challenging year for families and businesses alike, we are so proud of what our team has done to keep the "Woodloch Experience" as special as possible, working within government health guidelines. Our staff has done an exceptional job of preserving everything they could from our original product, and got creative with everything else that needed it. Going forward, we have confidence that we will be able to deliver a great vacation experience for families looking to escape from some of life's headaches and troubles. We are glad your young family kept busy throughout your stay- with over 30 daily activities and so many amenities to choose from, it sounds like the kids kept running in the best of ways! Ski Big Bear at Masthope, just about 15 or so minutes down the road, is an excellent play for families to ski, and especially for young skiers to learn. Thank you for your kudos to our staff, including Super Bob the Bus Driver and our kitchen and dining team. We are happy to accommodate any dietary concerns you may have for your family ahead of time- we encourage guests with very strict dietary concerns (i.e. food allergies) to give our team a call ahead of time to so we can be as ready as possible. We are glad your picky eaters were satisfied! Thank you once more for all of the kind words. We are happy to have brought some joy to you and your family, and look forward to seeing everyone once more soon! Best wishes, on behalf of the entire Woodloch Family, Brooke James Owner

We spent a few nights over President’s Day weekend at Woodloch Pines staying in the Cottage. The facility is generally well maintained and the staff is extremely helpful and accommodating - the accommodations are quite basic and dining is amongst hundreds. Our children definitely enjoyed the various activities but as expected over a holiday weekend there were lines for most things.

We were disappointed that while there was ample sleeping room in the Cottage, it did not really have space for us to relax as a family, eat a meal and generally escape the crowds. The living space was poorly lit, with a small table that only seats 4 and a pleather couch that seated 3 max. There is a small refrigerator and microwave typical of a hotel room but no other amenities to make it feel like home. Further, we were seated in the middle of the main dining room and despite the staff’s help and care had limited ability to transfer to other dining facilities that were less chaotic.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We’re glad you enjoyed your experience overall and understand your take on how full the facilities were during your stay. As you mentioned, I think you can certainly understand that the President’s Weekend is a peak demand time for us. We take particular care in designing our activities and amenities schedule to mitigate as much of our crowd as possible. We would love to have you here on a regular weekend; the Woodloch experience can be a bit more relaxed and open during our non-peak packages. In reference to your accommodations, I am sorry to hear the cottage did not meet your expectations. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your booking process, specifically in selecting this accommodation and what your expectations were prior to arrival. We want to make sure that our prospective guests are given the most accurate and explanatory information when making their decisions and ensure that our marketing is telling the right story. We have a variety of accommodation types on our property that are well appointed and spacious enough to comfortably host your family's size. Again, thank you for sharing your experience. I hope we can connect soon and have you back for another visit. Please give me a call at 570-685-8047. I look forward to speaking with you soon. Where to start?! Simply an exceptional vacation. From the location, to the activities, to the meals, to the staff........Everything was perfect. Everything was fun.

The entire property is immaculate. Especially in this day and age of the pandemic. There was hand sanitizer everywhere, and staff disinfected every single piece of apparatus, from the hand rails to the furniture in the lobby to the life vests by the boats. You never touched anything that wasn't thoroughly and recently sanitized.

Each day had dozens of activities. All carefully planned to allow plenty of time to schedule as many as you desired. Our group had 6 people, and there was time to hang together, as well as go off by ourselves and meeting for dinner later on.

Someone commented that this resort was a Cruise Ship on Land. I like that!! :)

I highly recommend the meal plan. Food was great; very tasty dishes, amazing portions and flawlessly executed by the staff.

Speaking of the staff, every single person could not have been nicer. Always a smile and welcoming greeting. Special shout out to our dining-room server, Jazmin, who was exceptional. She could not do enough for us. She served us 6 meals altogether, and we really hope she's available on our next stay; which by the way, we're already planning :)

Thank YOU, douger207! We are so glad to hear that you had an exceptional stay and found everything to be perfect and fun. As you noted, we take great pride in maintaining an immaculate property for our guests to enjoy. We work diligently to ensure that every area is sanitized and disinfected to the highest degree. The health and safety of our guests are our top priorities, and the extensive set of protocols that we have enacted during these challenging times reflects that. The "cruise ship on land" comparison is certainly a popular one -- between the endless activities and the abundant food offerings, it's easy to see why! Thank you for your special mention of Jazmin. She is truly an asset to our dining room team, and we're thrilled to learn that she made such a positive impact on your stay. We know that she will be happy to hear that you are planning to return! Thank you again!

We booked a few nights at Woodloch as first timers, taking advantage of the special fall rate. I wanted somewhere my little boy (13 months) could have some fun and give us a much needed change of scene from WFH. The resort surpassed expectations.

They handled the Covid precautions really well (staff consistently wore masks, the resort was well under capacity, advance reservations for activities, same table at dining etc).

We were lucky to have such great weather and because the resort was so empty, we were able to access all the activities multiple times. We had the go carts to ourselves. My husband was able to walk to the shooting barn and get a last minute cancellation. The lake was perfect to swim in and we enjoyed a guided boat trip to ourselves. The infant pools were awesome fun. And we also had the indoor playground to ourselves for an hour!

It was so incredible we extended our stay.

The dining experience was great. A special thank you to Val and Jeff for being so kind to us and our son.

And thanks to John the bus driver for the stickers...all of those activities and I think the bus ride was our son’s favorite bit!

Thanks Woodloch

We're so glad to hear how much you enjoyed your first stay with us, CharlotteM316! Thank you for choosing Woodloch as your change of scenery. As you noted, we take the safety of our guests and staff extremely seriously, and we have implemented an extensive set of guidelines and safety protocols to ensure their health and well-being. It has been a beautiful summer here, and it is wonderful to get out and enjoy the over 1,500 acres of scenic landscape that our property spans. Woodloch is set along three miles of shoreline on Lake Teedyuskung, where guests can take advantage of a variety boating activities as well as swimming or just relaxing. We are operating at no more than 50% capacity so as to maintain the most stringent social distancing protocols. This means there are plenty of activities for our guests to enjoy solely with the group they are traveling. And we're so glad that your son could enjoy some of the toddler favorites here; the pool and indoor playground are always popular! We appreciate your special mentions of staff members Val, Jeff and John. Our team is very important to Woodloch's success, and we welcome the chance to recognize their efforts when guests mention them by name. I’m sure that each of them will be happy to know that they made such a positive impact on your stay. Thank you very much, and we hope to see you back again soon!

This was our 27th year coming to Woodloch. We travel with a very large group and once again everyone enjoyed themselves. Laura in Group reservations made the process easy and she is thorough, knowledgeable and friendly. Laura is a pleasure to work with. Woodloch is a well maintained resort from the outside, the rooms and houses as well as all the public rooms. What seperated Woodloch from other resorts is the staff and the owners. The owners are not only onsite but they come visit and make sure that everything is running smoothly and each and every guest is well taken care of. Joey who heads the recreational staff does and outstanding job because every guest feels like we are part of the Woodloch Family. The activities are geared for all ages and everyone chooses what they would like to participate in or just relax for awhile. They serve 3 very good meals each day and the wait staff is exceptional. Also the Lodge at Woodloch is a World Class destination spa which allows guests to book and use the outstanding facilities. We will be returning and I already know that a larger group will be joining us in 2021.

We visited Woodloch for 3 nights last month.
Yes the campus is beautiful, so well maintained. We walked on the trails morning and evening. People are wearing masks which is a big help.
Check in was fast, front desk people were awesome!

We had a deluxe room with a balcony with a beautiful lake view.

The rooms can get a face lift. The bathrooms are quite old. The tiles/ grout can be updated. The toilet seat had a chip in the edge, requires inexpensive replacement. Not a 4/5 star room for sure!

Regarding the dining room, the staff were excellent. Constantly attending the customers.
But we were underwhelmed with the food taste/menu choices.
The food was very bland, actually too bland. Sometimes the soup/rolled up pancakes/mashed potato was not fresh, didn't taste very good.

We come from a foody family. We travel all over the world. I take cooking lessons time to time.
I thought that the chef can kick it up a notch for his cooking. Just go out and compare the food taste with good restaurants/or bring an independent food critic to evaluate the taste.
The dining room has a strange rule. If you are not a repeat guest, you cannot sit by the window table, even though a few tables were empty at times.
May be someone should do a better coordination to utilize the window side tables for the new guests in a rotational style.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share this feedback, waitytravel. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your overall stay and got a chance to explore our beautiful campus and experience the top-notch service for which we are known. That being said, we are disappointed to learn that you weren't 100% satisfied with your guest room in addition to the dining options. We strive to ensure that all of our guests feel at home so we are continuously renovating our property, returning every penny made back into the business to ensure a quality experience. It would be very helpful if you could reach out and tell us which room you stayed in so we can assess it and make the correct repairs. In regards to the Woodloch dining experience, our primary focus is to source products locally and prepare homestyle foods, striving to provide high-quality, family-style meals that will keep a wide range of tastes happy. The great thing about Woodloch, and this point is for your next trip, we have other options for more discerning or adventurous palates. The Grille Room and Overlook at Woodloch Springs offer an inspired ala carte menu that changes seasonally and offers a wide variety of more modern cuisine. Referencing the window tables, this is an area we need to look at more closely. A benefit to guest longevity is a window table at Woodloch, but in our reimagined dining experience and restrictions, some of those families are opting for take-out food, rendering the table unused. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We thank you again for your constructive feedback as it acts as a catalyst for change. We hope to welcome you back again in the future to show you how we have improved. On behalf of the entire Woodloch Family, ~ Brooke James

Hi there Alaina, Thank you for reaching out. We have an on-premise fitness room at our main resort as well as Woodloch Springs. It is typically open from 6 AM - 9 PM. We hope this helps!

My understanding is that you eat in the same place and pay a la carte. We arrived early the first day and ate lunch a la carte at the same place others on the meal plan

Hi there Dana C! New Year's is a great time to visit. Conditions permitting, our snow tube run should be open. We will feature games like our Winter Olympics, Scavenger Hunt, music and movie trivia, our famous horse races, Festival of Lights rides and premiere of our new 2024 Theme Show. New Year's Eve itself will include a fireworks display over our lake and your choice of party with music, dancing, prizes, open bar and of course the big count down to midnight. It's a wonderful night that all of us look forward to!
