Our family of 5 stayed at Woodloch for a long weekend in January and had a wonderful time. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The activities were plentiful and genuinely fun!! On the day of our departure, there was a significant amount of snow that had fallen so we were all given a later checkout. Little things like this make a difference and are much appreciated. A special shoutout to Thad who made the great games even better! Our children range in ages from 9-15 and this truly had something for everyone. If you're looking for a special place to make some family memories, this is it! It might have been our first trip, but it certainly won't be our last.
I am sitting in the warm and inviting lobby of this outstanding family run resort on the last morning of our 12th New Year’s Eve vacation spent at Woodloch, and our 14th visit overall. I have not even left yet and cannot wait to return. It is hard to adequately describe Woodloch Pines resort without experiencing it first hand. Family owned and operated means just that - the Kiesendahl family are an active and welcoming presence throughout the resort and it is a rare day when you do not have some one on one time with John, the CEO. We have made more great family memories here than anywhere else. It’s hard to imagine ever not having a family vacation here every year. In addition, we have made such good friends over the years (families that come every year at the same time) that these folks are like our “families” for the several days we are here. Woodloch Pines offers it all. Outstanding service and attention to detail. Great food and dining options. A wide array of fun activities year round. Beautiful grounds. Many accommodations options. A few shout outs to some of the folks that made this last stay so memorable: Tara, our waitress who was always so sweet and kind, accommodated every request, memorized our preferences and offered great meal choice suggestions. Diane, our cocktail waitress, who is a Woodloch lifer, first as a guest and now as a part time employee. We could have listened to her Woodloch stories all night. Joey, Thaddeus, Tom and Tom, who made the indoor and outdoor games and trivia contests so much fun. Tommy, who helped with a variety of things including the Winter Olympics, NYE party and go carts. A nicer human being you will never meet. I could have talked Big East basketball with him all day. My advice is give Woodloch a try as a great option for a really memorable family vacation. It is a super choice for extended families, with accommodation and activity options for toddlers through grandparents. My sense is that families that come here never stop coming here, and Woodloch becomes part of the fabric of their family history. An easy 5 stars. Would give more if I could.…
Quite a find! I felt like I was away at camp again in a winter wonderland with activities galore! What better way to celebrate my birthday than being a kid again?! Bumper cars, archery, mini bowling, mini golf, paint ball, bingo, jeopardy, s’mores and more! So much fun :) One suggestion to management: After the nightly show, continue with DJ music and drinks to encourage people to stay and socialize. A couple particular shout-outs to recognize employees who went above and beyond: Dining - Connie Transportation - Frank Riflery - Matt Archery - Devi Shuttle - Art
This place is amazing! The staff was wonderful, the activities were not only plentiful but very well run, the entertainment was fabulous, and the food was quite good. We cannot say enough nice things about our intergenerational family Thanksgiving holiday except to say we hope we can return in the near future.
We love visiting Woodloch and the Poconos in the fall. It is the perfect season for family togetherness. The staff makes everyone feel welcome! Woodloch's haunted walk is the scariest way to celebrate Halloween!
