One of the nicest and accommodating resorts we have ever visited. Staff was exceptional, food Great and enough to do that we would have needed 48 hour days to to complete all they had to offer. A beautiful lake and grounds to boot. The whole resort, inside and out was clean and welcoming. A great stay!

Hotel's Favorite
We visited Woodloch for the first time last week and liked it so much we are returning tomorrow. It is a fabulous family resort that makes things easy. The edgewater suite could perhaps benefit from a cosmetic refresh, but it is the perfect layout for families, with a beautiful lake view as an added bonus. The activities are plentiful and the app made it easy to schedule. We did all of our meals take-out to avoid indoor dining, and the system the resort set up for that was seamless. The staff were all consistently pleasant and professional, and whatever capacity limits have been set make it possible to responsibly social-distance. It is evident how thoughtful and dedicated the management is to making this a great, safe experience for guests.

WOW, we love that you decided to return for a second stay in two weeks! We're very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your first visit to Woodloch so much and found the new protocols that we've implemented to be seamless. We thank you for your feedback regarding our Edgewater Suites. We re-invest well over a million dollars each year on improvements and renovations and take great care in maintaining immaculate and comfortable accommodations for our guests. We're fortunate to have had gorgeous weather this summer, and the beauty of the takeout meals is that you can enjoy them anywhere across our 1,500+ acre property. As you noted, our staff are crucial to our success; they have done an amazing job of adapting and implementing our new policies and procedures during these challenging times. Thank you very much for your kind review, and we look forward to seeing you again in the near future!

We went the week of labor day. The children enjoyed the lake and pool. The outdoor poolnwas very comfortable. It felt like it was heated. I really enjoyed the food, and so did the kids. The staff was always friendly. I was a little nervous at first when I received an email add that said, Making Booking Easy Again. This seemed like a political reference and was a bit off putting, but I'm glad I booked. We felt welcomed the entire time! It felt like a resort for all people. The resort is big so there is plenty of room for social distancing. I can't wait to go again.

We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay here, Sm0nica! Our lake and pools are definitely guest favorites, and end of summer is an absolutely beautiful time to visit. We wanted to apologize for the email you found to be off-putting. Please rest assured that it was in no way, shape or form intended to be a political reference but instead an oversight on our part. Please know this email has now been changed. Since we opened over 62 years ago, our mission statement has been "to treat all guests as though they are company in our homes." We pride ourselves on being an inclusive resort to be enjoyed by all. We appreciate your valued feedback, and thank you for choosing Woodloch! We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Where to start?! Simply an exceptional vacation. From the location, to the activities, to the meals, to the staff........Everything was perfect. Everything was fun. The entire property is immaculate. Especially in this day and age of the pandemic. There was hand sanitizer everywhere, and staff disinfected every single piece of apparatus, from the hand rails to the furniture in the lobby to the life vests by the boats. You never touched anything that wasn't thoroughly and recently sanitized. Each day had dozens of activities. All carefully planned to allow plenty of time to schedule as many as you desired. Our group had 6 people, and there was time to hang together, as well as go off by ourselves and meeting for dinner later on. Someone commented that this resort was a Cruise Ship on Land. I like that!! :) I highly recommend the meal plan. Food was great; very tasty dishes, amazing portions and flawlessly executed by the staff. Speaking of the staff, every single person could not have been nicer. Always a smile and welcoming greeting. Special shout out to our dining-room server, Jazmin, who was exceptional. She could not do enough for us. She served us 6 meals altogether, and we really hope she's available on our next stay; which by the way, we're already planning :)

Thank YOU, douger207! We are so glad to hear that you had an exceptional stay and found everything to be perfect and fun. As you noted, we take great pride in maintaining an immaculate property for our guests to enjoy. We work diligently to ensure that every area is sanitized and disinfected to the highest degree. The health and safety of our guests are our top priorities, and the extensive set of protocols that we have enacted during these challenging times reflects that. The "cruise ship on land" comparison is certainly a popular one -- between the endless activities and the abundant food offerings, it's easy to see why! Thank you for your special mention of Jazmin. She is truly an asset to our dining room team, and we're thrilled to learn that she made such a positive impact on your stay. We know that she will be happy to hear that you are planning to return! Thank you again!

We have just returned from our 3-night vacation in Woodloch and I must say we had such a fantastic and relaxing time there! The hotel itself is in a really nice condition and decorated beautifully and everything made us feel like home—the staff included. Most of the staff are absolutely amazing (only a few of them are not so much but the difference is noticeable sadly) and in general they go out of their way to make guests feel like they’re almost family. So far, this is the best hotel we’ve ever been to within the US! The park itself where the resort is located is very nice—so many different plants!—and well kept, and the lake is so clean and refreshing. Our ‘Deluxe Lakeview Mountain Laurel’ room was spacious and well equipped (I only missed the coffee maker that was supposed to be in the room according to the website) and we also had a balcony (that was the main reason why I went for this resort and this room type) which was very close to the lake so I went out to just sit there for quite long in the mornings as well as in the evenings. My only problem is that we could only occupy our room at 5pm after asking about it multiple times—I realize that it was written on the website but still I don’t find it really fair that you can only have the room at 5pm (if you don’t keep asking maybe even later) but you have to leave at 11am (also this means that there are no activities available for the first day). We have full board which meant multi-course breakfast, lunch and dinner so basically we never were hungry as the portions sizes are HUGE, so if you are on a diet then this is not the place to go. :) Moreover, really everything was delicious and beautifully presented. There are a ton of different activities that are included in the price: kayak, wall-climbing, go-kart, archery, etc. as well as a few other things for additional costs (the shooting was great, but the escape room wasn’t the best I’ve ever tried, I couldn’t really enjoy it as the locks weren’t working properly so although we knew what the right combination was the locks would only open after 4-5 tries—also, I believe it could be included in the price, as there’s only 1 hour to finish it and for 2 people it’s definitely not enough time and I didn’t want to pay extra $$ multiple times to be able to finish it). There’s an app that everyone should download so that they can see all the activities available for the given day—and sign up for them—, as well as the menu. There’s also a shuttle service which can be convenient although the distances are really not that big between buildings and I think it would be enough to have a shuttle bus every 15 mins or so, as this way it is a bit of a waste of energy and resources. There were only a few minor things that we did not like. E.g. in the morning of our departure we found a paper on the table at the dining room saying that it’s possible to buy freshly baked goods but when we wanted to buy a sourdough bread we were told that we should’ve returned the filled out form the night before…But how exactly if we only got it on the last day? Also there was a cookout with many barbecue dishes and stuff which was a lot of fun, but one of the guests thought it was a good idea to start changing diapers on their kid on one of the tables in the middle of the crowd where people were eating. Clearly this isn’t the resort’s fault but someone should’ve told them to stop, because not only it was disgusting but unsanitary too, just think about the fact that people are eating from that table!! The other slightly bothering thing was the constant work on the lawn/garden: someone was either mowing the lawn, or sowing grass seeds or removing a few leaves from the road with a leaf blower. Now all of these were done by machines therefore they were really LOUD and I don’t think it’s necessary to do these things on a daily basis and I think that 3 pieces of leaves don’t require a leaf blower; if anything, a broom would do it… Anyhow, I want to say big thanks to ALL the staff we got in contact with, they are amazing—the resort is lovely and homey and we really had a wonderful and relaxing time there and can’t wait to go back!!
