Whenever we pass through Harrisburg, we stay at this hotel. The staff is nice, the layout is nice, and the rooms are nice. We have never gotten a bad room. The food isn’t too bad for hotel food. Can’t wait to return!

My husband booked this place to undergo surgery in Hershey Medical Hospital (Cancer). Instead of going out for breakfast, we decided to try out your facility. My husband who has food allergies asked a question to two of the food attendant. They weren’t so pleasant with him

Thank you Worldtraveler3132 for your feedback about the less than stellar customer service you received in the breakfast area. While this is typically not a normal occurence as both ladies that work the area usually receive high praises from guests, I can surely appreicate the feedback and letting me know how you felt. As a traveler myself with a family member that has a food allergy I can surely understand the need to know what is in the food we are serving. Please accept my apology on their behalf. I will certainly be sharing your feedback with the staff and educating them on the importance of understanding exactly what we serve our guests. We hope everything is going well with the treatments and thank you for choosing the Residence Inn for your most recent trip to the area.

Thank you Mr. jcarterjr1498 for your feedback regarding your most recent stay. I apologize for the confusion you experienced while staying with us regarding the payment of your room. I am not sure where the breakdown occured but can say that most hotels ask for a credit card up front to authorize for the amount of your stay. If choosing to pay with cash than that payment should be made upon check in so that money is not tying up a credit / debit card. Our policy is that all cash paying guest still need to furnish the hotel with a valid credit / debit card so that we can still run an authorization for incidentlals that may occur. Again, I am not sure where the breakdown came form but can assure you that Kris is extremely friendly to all but might have come across stern given she was correctly a problem that should not have happened to begin with. Sorry that you experienced a plumbing issue while staying here. We are in the process of upgrading so many things and we obviously missed something in your room when completing the renovation. I can assure you the issue was resolved and thank you for bringing it to our attention. Again, I apologize for how Kris made you feel but want to assure you she was only doing her job. We hope that you will not let this deter you from staying with us in the future. Thank you!

A group of us took five rooms at this property and each had a similar experience. The property is easy to find once you get off the highway, but the area is kind of industrial and there isn't anything within walking distance. The physical property is unusual, a series of

This is a nice RI, older layout, but well kept. All of the staff were friendly and polite. There were plenty of drawers and closet space (Room #1115). Unlike most, this inn had a luggage rack. The bed was comfortable although the pillows were a little flat. The room was clean

Thank you llbeach1 for you review! I will certainly share your feedback with the staff. They particularly like hearing that guest feel they are friendly and polite! I am happy to share with you incase you plan to come back to the area anytime soon but we are completely renovating the hotel adding alot of the touches you mentioned in your survey such as new larger TV's, the water pressure was a local township issue that is being fixed shortly, and all of our lamps will have USB ports in them. There are many more new features our guests will be able to enjoy shortly like fresh new lounge seating, brand new carpets, ceramic tiles, luxury bedding, etc. Again thank you for taking the time to post your comment. We look forward to seeing you on a return trip to the Harrisburg area! Christine Sczypta

I agree with Terafina. Nice property in close proximity to Hershey Park. I recommend calling the property directly to see if you can make an arrangement. Their townhouses are really nice (2 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchenette, and pullout sofa bed)...perhaps you can negotiate an guaranteed upgrade for a modest price up and above the points? GOOD luck!

Apologies for the delayed response. For future reference, only our studio suites and penthouse suites have a full kitchen, with an oven. Our one-bedroom and two bedrooms do NOT.

Hello. I appreciate you taking the time to ask our property a question. Let me start by explaining our property. We have 11 different buildings. 1-10, are stand alone, outside entrances to the rooms. Building 11 is an interior corridor, three seperate floors with an elevator. Our entire property is renovated. Building 1-10 in 2011 and Building 11 in 2014. I would suggest when making a reservation to request a room away from the highway. I would recommend checking out our website, this has our property information as well as pictures. I hope my response was helpful, have a great day!

"The layout to this a slightly confusing series of unconnected townhouses, the parking away from the reception area can be dark and remote."
"Rooms on the north end will have more road noise."
"The rooms closer to the gate house are very convenient to laundry and other amenities such as the pool."
"Get a room upstairs perhaps away from the main street. I had no problem with my street facing room."
"request the new building - the penthouse suites looked awful"
