Gem in the rough. Looks like your average independent place from the outside, but it's really a nice place. For me, it was as good as your typical chain. Room was clean and also updated. There is a restaurant next door, but I did not have any food.
Lovely family owned motel. Absolutely would recommend a stay in this gem of a small business. Very clean. Staff members and owner very friendly and accommodating when we needed somewhere to stay. Original plans fell through and being many hours from home this was a comforting find and didn't disappoint. Remember to support the small business community!
We stay here when visiting family in Pennsylvania. This is a great little motel and the staff is very warm and caring. I would recommend to anyone. The restaurant next door also serves good food and is busy.
I rarely dish out five stars, and this place doesn't even have free shampoo, not to mention free breakfast. But at these prices you can get the Lumberjack Special somewhere else and still be way ahead. It's about 15 minutes from Route 80, and about 60 years back in time when motels were spotless and quiet and maintained by their owners. Comfortable, inviting, old-fashioned. Just about halfway between New York and Chicago, with a pretty off-highway loop through farm country that adds very little extra time to the trip. The lively restaurant right next door (10% off if you show your room key) is also worth a visit.
We are vegan and like to prepare simple meals in our room. For this reason, we booked the suite, which actually is a two-bedroom apartment. The room was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen had everything a person might want. The motel is set in a lovely area with a short walking track out back. The hotel staff were helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The apartment itself was on the older side, but it had been nicely renovated. The beds were okay, although not the most comfortable. But overall, this place is highly recommended and very good value for money!
We had the privilege of staying at this clean, comfortable, sweet motel this weekend. The rooms were exceptionally clean and quiet. The staff was among the friendliness we have ever encountered. Will definitely be back!
We found Cianci's motel a few years ago when looking for a close place to stay when fishing at Pymatuming lake. What a gem this place is! Clean and very comfortable. A small business with exceptional service. Mark Cianci the owner, is very hands on and will go out of his way to make your stay accommodating and enjoyable. So enjoyable we stay here many weekends thru out the summer. We call it our little home away from home! A cute little picnic area behind the motel and the motel is pet friendly. An added bonus! We absolutely love staying here!
Quant and cute. The owner is very friendly, had an issue with the AC in our room and we were very lucky that he keeps one room available even when booked up so we were able to transfer. Had to end up staying in a smoking room which wasn't ideal but he made every effort to make it as comfortable as possible for us!
I make it a point to seek out independent diners and motels since the pandemic hit them so hard. Sometimes it’s a swing and a miss. Cianci’s was a home run! It’s an older property lovingly maintained and for dog owners the huge lawn and nature trail in back was a delight. A nice restaurant is located right across the parking lot. I really enjoyed my stay here!
Wonderful small town motel. Lovely owners, clean comfortable room. Definitely recommend. Can't say enough good things! Convenient location, quiet in room. Very comfortable beds. Enjoyed our stay very much.
