After several of our vacations were canceled due to Covid-19, my husband and I decided to travel to the Lancaster area for an overnight getaway. We love the Amish countryside and wanted to stay in a historic B&B. Osceola Mill House was a perfect choice. It was built in 1766 and is located off the beaten path, among many Amish farms. We enjoyed our room (the Fireside), as well as relaxing outside in the rocking chairs. Breakfast was a treat, too, with delicious eggs, fresh fruit, homemade jam and cherry pie for dessert.

The owners, Pat and Ron, were gracious hosts and followed all the Covid-19 protocol. This eased our minds while staying in their beautiful home. The house was spotless and Pat stated that she sanitizes things multiple times throughout the day. There was also hand sanitizer located in common areas and face masks were available for guests, if needed. During any interaction with the hosts, they both wore face masks.

We will definitely return to Osceola Mill House in the future. And would highly recommend this property, without hesitation, during this unprecedented time.

Go and enjoy !!!

Thanks so much for your kind words! It was so nice to share our home with guests again after the very necessary shutdown. We do appreciate your care and cooperation as we learn to run this B&B again in our new world. Stay well, and we will see you soon! Pat and Ron

At any time, the Osceola Mill House is a great Bed and Breakfast when you’re in the Lancaster area. Warm owners, delicious and substantial breakfast, cozy accommodations. The bucolic setting, hearing the trot of horse hooves, a burning fireplace, and a claw foot tub - so romantic, yet also a great place for a solo traveler. I love it there.
This time though, was something special. I was very nervous traveling anywhere during the pandemic. Pat was calm and accommodating. Our room had been vacant for over 24 hours, there was hand sanitizer everywhere, everyone wore masks when inside and kept their distance. Check in and check out was essentially contactless. Basically, anything that made us feel safer, they were willing to do for us. They even put our breakfast in an adorable basket so we were able to eat and enjoy our coffee on the rocking chairs outside! Can’t wait for our next visit.

We do appreciate your kind words. Yes, these are scary times, indeed, and I think the best way to help each through them is to do all we can to keep each other healthy. Relaxation is key to health, and we're glad we could help you relax for a day. We will see you both again soon.

Once again Osceola Mill House was absolutely perfect and spotless! The owners took extra special precautions due to COVID-19. They wear masks and gloves and sanitize the B&B on a set schedule. The breakfast both days scrumptious with wonderfully seasoned scrambled eggs, home made hash browns, chicken sausage. Day 2 was home made banana bread French toast . Both mornings featured peaches Pat harvested locally. Waking up to the sound of buggies traveling the country road is so serene as is being surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in the US! Visit Osceola Mill House!

Osceola Mill House is a delightful Bed and Breakfast in the Lancaster region of Pennsylvania. Gracious hosts Pat and Ron were so welcoming and informative to our many inquiries.
Our room (Rose Room) was nice with a comfortable Queen canopy bed, love seat and fireplace, what more could you want? There was an en-suite bathroom with great hot water pressure, something not often found in these old homes!
Breakfasts were delicious with generous portions that accompanied stimulating conversations with the other guests! Pat and Ron joined in to the conversations with wonderful stories, it was really hard to leave the table to start our day.
I wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be returning!

Osceola Mill B&B was wonderful. The location is ideal. It’s close to towns yet far enough away to enjoy the quiet among Amish farms. The 4 rockers are perfectly placed on the front lawn to enjoy the beauty of the property. The Blue Room was cozy. The owners are welcoming, attentive, & mingle with guests at breakfast. Speaking of breakfast…delicious and filling. Try the chocolate zucchini bread. Yummy. We would return here!

We have been coming to the Osceola Mill House for over twenty years. This was our second stay with Pat and Ron and it was just as wonderful as our first a year and a half ago. Ron and Pat are such excellent hosts. Personal, friendly, interesting and are a chock full of information. The rooms at the OMH are very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious and creative. We have stayed in just about every room in the house and each one has it's own character and charm. All the rooms have nice views. The location couldn't be better. Close to everything. They could arrange a dinner with an Amish family, which I highly recommend. I brought 7 people here this past weekend and they had no trouble accommodating us. Nice patio outside with a little firepit to take the chill out of the air. Lawn chairs to relax. The common rooms are comfortable and have all the amenities you would want; wi-fi, coffee, tea, snacks and a small refrigerator. They are very conscious and responsible regarding the COVID precautions and we always meet such nice people staying there as well. I highly recommend staying at the OMH and meeting Pat and Ron, you won't be disappointed!!

Our thanks to both of you. Some guests are just like family coming home again. It was so great to meet the rest of your family this weekend. The boys were needling each other at our breakfast table just like our own boys do. What fun! We will see you soon. Take care of yourselves and stay well. -Pat and Ron

Went there for our anniversary weekend. B&B was full, but so quiet we thought it was just the two of us. Stayed in the Green Suite that includes the Corn crib room…two separate bedrooms, no en-suite bathroom. We camped out in one bedroom or the other during the day then split for the night for the two fussy sleepers! Worked for us, maybe not for others. The Burgundy suite on the third floor might have been better for us. Next time! We’ve been to many B&Bs over the last 20 years. This one has the best breakfast, hands down. Sure enough for the food, but even more for the conversation. What a lively group! And the hosts join in too. Even better. Do not miss breakfast. Be the last one out of the dining room!

Pros: comfy rooms, bedding, towels etc., breakfast, hosts, quiet, convenience to tourist attractions, friendly cats
Cons: would prefer 21st century doorknobs and locks, the quaint hardware is difficult for arthritic hands.

Thanks to our hosts for a wonderful stay. Bless you.

Thanks, Dana, for posting this wonderful review. We are ever so glad that we were able to meet your needs and make your stay comfortable. Except for those doorknobs - you know it is always a balancing act between maintaining the integrity of this 255+ year-old house and updating the amenities. On your next trip, if you do choose the Burgundy Room, I think you might find that door more accesible for your needs as it was installed in 2000. Looking forward to welcoming you back.

We stayed in the Blue Room at the B&B. Both room and attached bath were spotless and decorated beautifully. Plenty of towels in the bathroom and coffee and tea all day with biscotti in the "gathering room" for anybody who wanted to enjoy an afternoon snack. We enjoyed listening to the clip clop of the horses going by the B&Bin the morning. The breakfasts were lovely and Pat and Ron were amazing hosts!

We spent a romantic weekend away in Lancaster and were hosted by the amazing Pat and Ron. When we arrived a little later in the evening, we were greeted by Pat at the door and she gave us a very warm welcome. We stayed in the Burgundy room- beautiful views of the farm behind the house, a cozy electric fireplace, and a super comfy king sized bed. It’s decorated similar to how it was in 1756 with an Americana style. The house is decorated wonderfully with both historical design and notes from the owners’ personal lives which gave the experience a very personal touch.

The first morning, we enjoyed waking up to hoof prints from the horse and buggies on the street, then getting a hot mug of coffee downstairs and walking the grounds of the home. The friendly cow who brushes up against the back fence is also adorable. We had a very nice breakfast prepared by Pat and Ron who were extremely hospitable and always wanting to make sure we ate as much as we wanted! Pat and Ron also gave us local tips and advice for exploring the community.

This B&B is located very close by lots of Amish shopping in towns like Intercourse and Bird in Hand, where you can ride a buggy, shop for Amish furniture and quilts, and have fresh-baked pretzels and baked goods. We took a hot air balloon ride in Bird in Hand, just ten minutes from the B&B. We also got engaged on that balloon over beautiful views of Lancaster County! While the balloon ride prevented us from attending breakfast on the second morning, Pat and Ron were gracious for our stay. We will definitely be back!

This was our second visit for our 34th wedding anniversary. We knew from the great experience we had the first time what to expect. Pat and Ron are the best in the business. The place is in the heart of Amish country. Breakfast is top notch and they take time to answer all your questions and point you in the right direction. Thanks for your part in a wonderful vacation.
