This is a very nice campground, but the two times I stayed here recently were not as nice as I remembered. Much more noise from the busy road was the worse part. On the positive side, the employees at the office are very nice, the Hershey bar is delicious and if you like ice cream, treat yourself to a Hershey sundae (novelty) at the office. The bathrooms are clean and showers have good water pressure and warm temperatures. This time we stayed at site 808 and the shower house here seemed like one of the older ones. If you go up by the pool, that shower house is gorgeous! I guess you have to have a big rig to get those sites and I hear they sell out quickly. The gravel roads are great to walk around and there are some hills to get your heart rate up. One of the campers near us was letting his dog wander without a leash. As a lady was walking her little dog, this guy’s chocolate lab approached her dog and the owner was sitting near his camper calling his dog back, but it wasn’t listening. I felt so bad for this little dog even though the larger dog was only sniffing it. I let the office know and also that this guy left his dogs in his trailer when he left, so they barked every time someone walked by. It’s unfortunate that some people can’t follow the rules. Also kind of odd that I did not see any campground employees out & about to keep an eye on things. We used the fan in our camper to cover up the traffic noise at night. We would probably stay here again, since it seems to be the best available campground in the area.…
Every site is nicely maintained. Facilities are kept clean & neat. Staff is friendly and helpful. We have been RV'ing for 40+ years and this campground is on the top 5 of our list. The cable TV offers 65 high quality channels. The wifi works flawlessly with speeds of 25mbs down and 15mbs upload. When you check in you are greeted with a smile and a Hershey candy bar.
This is our favorite campground. Every year, they continue to make improvements. This year they have expanded the playground area, added a large cabin for rental and enlarged some of the sites where the former playground was located. In addition, they have blacktopped an area, added lighting for outside events. Kathy & Justin and all of the staff is hands down, the friendliest that we have ever met in our 6 years of camping. This trip was business related as I had a meeting in Lancaster. At this time of year, the campground is usually not busy with visitors, but the grounds staff were busy planting, grading and getting everything ready for the upcoming season. They always take a moment to wave, say hello or welcome back. If you want a great campground, visit the Amish areas, Country Acres is the best ! One other thing …. In seasonon Fridays, a very nice Amish lady visits with a cart full of fresh baked goodies to see at very reasonable prices. If you are watching your diet, I would suggest that you just wave at her as she walks by. Otherwise, be prepared to experience the best baked goodies !…
Except for the guy next door at trailer company using a woodpecker sounding hammer at 7AM all was good. Site very friendly in size and not bad to get into. Price was mid range but worth it. Wife wants to go back for longer stay. Such a nice area of country and Armish are just so nice to talk to and be around. Wish more BAD americans were like them, their would be far less issues in this world.
First to eliminate confusion, we are staying in a Class A Motorcoach. Country Acres does have cabins to rent as well, but we stayed in our Motorhome. We had a great stay from June 24th thru June 29th, 2021. Hot weather, but they have a wonderful clean & well maintained pool. Kathy, Justin and all of the staff are the friendliest of any campground we have been to. Campground is situated in the midst of Amish Farms. They recently upgraded all of the water, electric, fire rings & Wi-Fi and sites are basically level and gravel. They also take great care with the cleaning of the bath houses, laundry areas and landscaping. They have a very nice dog park for the members of your family that have paws. We will be back two more times this year.
What a WONDERFUL campground close to many sights and attractions. As soon as we pulled in we knew it was going to be a great stay. The ladies in the office were very friendly and helpful. Our site, 809, was very spacious and super clean. Hook ups were well maintained and worked without any issues. We walked around the park and everyone there was friendly. There’s no junk here. The pool and bath facilities were top notch. This ranks as one of the cleanest and well maintained campgrounds we’ve visited. Although it is somewhat close to a highway, the road noise was negligible. We will certainly stay here on our return trips to the area.
Beautifully maintained, lovely gardens and flowers, and CLEAN! Grounds spotless and bathrooms/showers too (heated). Check in easy, staff friendly and helpful, small shop with supplies and ice. We camped in a wooded site and could see the farmland through the trees. We would stay again. Agree about the road noise, but it's to be expected.
Our family recently spent 6 days at country acres and had a wonderful time. All of the staff is very friendly and the campground is maintained beautifully. We loved the abundant green grass and corn fields. Most sites are large enough to enjoy without being on top of your neighbor. The campground was more than 80% full during our stay but everyone was nice, respectful and generally quiet (mostly older folks, not a lot of little kids). There were pros and cons to our site. Cons: our site was near the motel 6 which is also a bit closer to the main road so there was constant road noise and large bright spotlights from the motel at night. Pros: our site was very large with beautiful grass so we enjoyed using the extra space to play games, enjoy an outdoor movie and campfire, and play with our dog. I felt like the nice site made up for the cons so we were happy. We will be back again!…
This was a great experience!! The site was just perfect for us. First time using a tent. Path directly to the bathrooms. Chuck was so personable. Gave us some great places to visit. The whole staff was fantastic!! Campers were also very nice. Only thing that was a slight drawback, was the traffic noise, but it was only really noticeable at night. I will definitely go back!
Very loud, not a relaxing place at all. The sites are on top of each other so the people are loud and you are right next to the highway. Beautiful place with a pool and nice facilities. But if you’re looking to stay for quiet camping, not your place.
