Our family recently spent 6 days at country acres and had a wonderful time. All of the staff is very friendly and the campground is maintained beautifully. We loved the abundant green grass and corn fields. Most sites are large enough to enjoy without being on top of your neighbor. The campground was more than 80% full during our stay but everyone was nice, respectful and generally quiet (mostly older folks, not a lot of little kids). There were pros and cons to our site. Cons: our site was near the motel 6 which is also a bit closer to the main road so there was constant road noise and large bright spotlights from the motel at night. Pros: our site was very large with beautiful grass so we enjoyed using the extra space to play games, enjoy an outdoor movie and campfire, and play with our dog. I felt like the nice site made up for the cons so we were happy. We will be back again!…
This was a great experience!! The site was just perfect for us. First time using a tent. Path directly to the bathrooms. Chuck was so personable. Gave us some great places to visit. The whole staff was fantastic!! Campers were also very nice. Only thing that was a slight drawback, was the traffic noise, but it was only really noticeable at night. I will definitely go back!
Very loud, not a relaxing place at all. The sites are on top of each other so the people are loud and you are right next to the highway. Beautiful place with a pool and nice facilities. But if you’re looking to stay for quiet camping, not your place.
We stayed here for three nights, and couldn't be more pleased with the facility as well as the entire staff that we interacted with. The office staff was very friendly, the property is very well maintained, clean and the bathhouses are spotless. Especially helpful was their maintenance guy Chuck. He helped us resolve a cable TV problem, that was a result of our unfamiliarity with our brand new RV. He even stopped by a few times to ensure everything was okay. We've decided to make Country Acres CG an annual visit.
We were returning to our home in Maine from wintering in the South. Many campgrounds had closed. We were welcomed at Country Acres and stayed for several days in a beautiful site, with about 25 sites near us empty. The manager, Kathy, was wonderful. She even opened the door for us every time we went to the office, so we wouldn't have to touch anything. She was also very accommodating when we needed to change plans. The campground itself was spacious and spotless. Lawns and flowers were manicured to perfection. We looked out on an Amish field, which was so nice in a stressful time. Thanks for your help Kathy. We'll be back in better times.
