Showing its age, did not look clean, the shower in particular. Very cramped with a King bed in a room meant to have a queen (at most). Barely any room to stand at one side of the bed. Highway noise oppressive (we have stayed here many times in the past without noticing before. Will not stay here in the future.
I have been staying at this hotel for 8+ years. Originally I was skeptical but it was clean, the staff was great and I was very happy. Then the property was sold. It is now absolutely disgusting. Mold on the ceiling, bright pink moldy shower curtain, toenail clippings on the floor, previous guest's toothpaste in the sink, blood stains on the ripped sheets, and I will stop there. This is NOT a one-off occurrence either. It has been this way for YEARS now, since the sale of this inn. And no more free breakfast as advertised. I continued to stay because I travel alone and many of my acquaintances choose to stay here. Never again. I have a friend who witnessed either a drug deal or a sex worker on the second floor this past winter. I have personally witnessed drug use in the parking lot. You have been warned, stay far AWAY!!!!!!…
I'm unsure what all the poor reviews are about? Ignore them and book this hotel, lm glad I didnt listen to them!! It's a very clean budget hotel room in a safe area. No complaints. Great room, recently renovated with new furnishings. Fridge and microwave. New TV, with lots of charging points for phones and a desk to sit at to work or eat. The bed was large and super comfy. It was quiet, and there's lots of restaurants nearby to choose from, a Walmart and a mall for shopping should you want to. Only small gripe- if I wanted to find one is that all the websites offering this hotel say there's a free breakfast....there isn't, so bear that in mind. But, there's a McDonalds next door! No biggie! I'm more about safety, cleanliness and a great nights sleep and this place had it all!
Wow!!! We were very surprised when we opened the door to our room. It was clean and beautiful! It appears that renovations are underway and if our room is any indication of what's to come, then they are on the right track! Love the wood floor with just an area rug! Other hotels have carpet that is smelly, crunchy and worn! The beds and furnishings appear to be brand new! We will stay here again, when we visit!
No was in no way pleased with our last stay there was dead bugs on the floor beds were not comfortable at all not enough shampoo for one person let alone 2 no I will not be staying at I-90 red roof inn anytime soon that's for sure o yeah could barely understand the worker's
We have stayed here quite a few times but are now rethinking staying here anymore. The rooms are looking tired and not as clean as they used to. The laminate floors look like they haven't been mopped in a long time. The television has barely any channels to watch, not even the local news. When I checked out, I wasn't asked about my stay or anything. The room card was taken and I no receipt printed. I had to specifically ask for it. If you are a Red Roof RediCard member, don't expect to be treated like one here. I am sorry to see this location be treated this way.
The motel was clean but crowded. Our ground floor room had an entrance directly outside to the parking lot. Pets were allowed on the premises and there were quite a few animals but no disturbances. The room was small but tidy and the water had great pressure. Microwave is hit or miss and we did not have one or a refrigerator either. Left overs from dinner went to waste because of this. Breakfast was not included. We were told "sorry". The price was decent for the area and we did not spend much time in the room.
Very shady employees,Rooms were filthy & stunk really bad like cat urine and they do NOT refund your deposit after checking out,If you dont leave the lazy maid a tip,She will smoke in the room and blame you just so you dont get your deposit back.. We are non smokers & the manager said the maid found cigarette smoke & ashes in our room,What it was is,We didnt leave the maid a tip because the tub had black long hairs in it,The room smelled like cat urine covered up with chemical spray,The tv remote looked like its never been cleaned off..I will never ever stay at that place again,Not even for free
Real honest-real people: This IS a NO FRILLS (No fridge-No Microwave) But CLEAN AND COZY....AND PRICED RIGHT overnight stay. It's a small room with a small bathroom with a very-very near to the floor toilet. The room very clean with a very bright, welcoming, AND refreshing bedspread....The CLINCHER, if anyone really cares: Since we've been given something called COVID we were shocked to see,...among other things RED ROOF uses SOAP from ""MADE IN CHINA"....SORRY, NOT FOR US - WHAT OTHER JOBS CAN THE RICH CEO'S SEND TO CHINA??? That IS/WAS a real "turn-Off!!! Steve and Barb - Elmira, NY
We usually stay here when visiting Erie with our dogs . It is definitely starting to get very run down . The room was dirty when got there . They asked us to step out for 15 minutes while they cleaned the room because they assigned us a room that was not cleaned yet (after 3pm). They had many people staying in the hotel that were smoking skunk weed so much so that the smell over took our room several times while we were there . The room also smelled like cigarette smoke . It seemed that they have some long term tenants as well . The exterior door to the steps was so loud that every time someone opened it , I woke up (which happened many many times throughout the night) . There were other customers staying that made us feel uncomfortable. The feel of the hotel is now dirty and rundown. They also don’t offer the McDonald’s coupons for breakfast anymore . It’s not a big deal but was a nice thing they used to do . We ended up only staying one night . I guess we lost out on our second nights room $ because we prepaid . They didn’t even ask why were not staying . It might be under new management??? If you have dogs and don’t mind a little run down and a little bit of suspicious and scary people staying nearby go for it . We felt so uncomfortable with the cleanliness and surrounding people that we left the next day .…
