the hotel was much farther away from the water than advertised. You could not see it, let alone walk there. Our "view" was onto the swimming pool. No breakfast is served, unlike advertised. No discount is given for that. Everything is super outdated. Looks like my grandmothers 50's finishings everywhere. Bathroom door would not close. I dropped an earring on the floor and I can tell you that under the sink has probably not been cleaned in 20 years.

Stayed here before and never had such a disappointing time. Pool closed, room not cleaned during stay, back entrances did not work and we were told (Oh, those key pads are dead), no food available, less than helpful or caring staff. If covid 19 is that much of a problem To this hotel, it should just close. Really sketchy. New ownership (Ramada) or whoever it is, should take care of all the inadequacies in this hotel. Fix you pool And have it opened the hours you advertise. (Its the only reason I stay there and it was closed) , fix you entrance doors. Security and convenience should be priority! Hire staff that care for the customer above all. They seem to be very uninformed about anything going on in their own hotel. Too many people who loved this hotel will find other places to stay. I being one.

Staff is disconnected, not rude but have no clue what they are there for. Outside doors not operational. Stayed 4 nights never again no room service. Hotel was vacant there is a reason for that, poor service, spa foaming not clean. Scary place! Ramada and Wyndham need to remove their nane association worst stay ever. I booked through Orbitz they need to lower rating to a 2 maybe. Erie is a great place hotel is not.

The proximity to Presque Isle is wonderful, however after my experience, I’ll opt to drive a little further to the beaches from a decent hotel. The staff really could not care less about the guests. We checked in and unlocked our room, which had people and belongings in it. Mortifying. Then we had to haul our stuff back to the front desk to get another room. Not so much as an apology from the hotel. The room was pool-view. Sounds nice, right? No. The pool had no signs up to reflect a closing time. I could hear the shrill screams of children and splashing until at least 11:30PM. Throughout the night the jet-flush toilets echo throughout the hotel so you will be awoken. The air conditioner was new, however I could hear a drip-drip noise. Turned it off at 3am and then realized it was water somewhere else dripping onto it. I picked this hotel to add more convenience to my getaway in Erie, but would not recommend this place due to staff, the rowdy pool (amid a pandemic, to boot) and perhaps just the type of crowd/people that it attracts. I’d say you get what you pay for, but I believe the Comfort Inn which is a couple miles (or less) away is slightly more affordable and higher rated on TripAdvisor.

the girls at the front desk were great! Diamond and Ginny were helpful, courteous and so friendly! We have been staying here for the last 10 +years back when it was the Clarion. It needed a facelift/updated, but this year it looked great! Ramada took it over and we loved it. The pool area we love because when it rains, we have an indoor pool to chill at. We always get either a patio or balcony room, and these rooms are really nice. Microwave and fridge in the rooms, so convenient. We didnt smell any old smoke or weird smells. The other reviews may have been bad because they were staying in the 100's floor rooms, which i think havent been renovated yet. Maxi's isnt open due to covid, so no breakfast or bar service. We plan ahead and take our own cooler full of drinks! There are plenty of other places to eat around there. The location is awesome! walking distance to Waldameer, Sheetz, etc. Super close to Presque Isle. We have stayed in some bad hotels and this one is NOT one of them. We will be back next year for sure!
