The Clarion Hotel is a Grand Old Lady in need of reconstructive surgery. There is not a thing wrong with the hotel/conference center that TLC and updating wouldn't fix. The place is very clean, the food is excellent, the service exceptional, but it looks like a brochure from the 70's. We arrived to find a wedding reception in full bloom,... More

The hotel was nice for the $96 non-refundable price. It is an older motel-style hotel. But multiple floors. The rooms are clean and decent. But nothing is great. I will definitely stay here again if in the area.

We chose this hotel because it offered a lounge and restaurant. It failed to mention these are not open on Sunday's. Had we known this we would not have booked a room. Staff was nice, room is dated, loud, but we wouldn't have minded if there would have been a lounge to have a cocktail in.

This place is nothing near the stock photos on their website. I've stayed in much nicer places for less money. The place is old and in need of major renovations. Furthermore, the bathroom in our room was not clean. There was a used bar of soap in the bathtub, not to mention leftover hair, if you catch my drift. The... More

Nice hotel with an inviting atrium pool area with hot tub. The Maxi restaurant had a good $5 hot breakfast buffet. I found the staff to be helpful and friendly. It's located close to Waldameer water park and Presque Isle State Park. A variety of restaurants in the area. Joe Roots Grill was great!

My husband and I stayed here one night during a road trip, deciding to eschew the hotels by the side of the highway. This place has charm and character, and our room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was clean, but the wallpaper has seen better days. The indoor pool was popular with families, and the workout room is well-equipped.... More

The hotel had a strange smell throughout the building. The rooms are large and clean, however the smell was even more distinct in our room. The furniture and decor were both outdated. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool looked very nice and the location of the hotel was very convenient.

My wife and I traveled to Lake Erie annually, and usually stay here. Something awful has happened here. This year we booked this hotel through TripAdvisor. As we went to the room the smell of moldy dampness was all through the hallway. The room itself was moldy, the top cover on the beds were damp (we wouldn't even put our... More

Older property, appears to be a refurbished Holidome. One room suite was very comfortable, well equipped and clean. Desk staff and housekeeping people were excellent. Perfect location with good restaurants nearby, and easy access to Presque Isle.

We stayed at this hotel for one night and the rooms were large and clean. The bathroom was large and spotless with a good shower. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. - basic eggs, waffles, sausage, fruit etc. The rooms by the pool looked great for families. Would stay again.
