After weeks of traveling and staying in one hotel chain or another, this was such a welcome change. I always wonder why most hotels don't really give you a relaxing chair to sit in....there are desk chairs, straight bad chairs, and love seat sofas galore....but this hotel had a lazy boy recliner in my room. I dozed off watching tv... More

Stayed here in September. We were very happy with our stay. The staff was friendly. Family owned. Reasonably priced. Parking right at room. The bathroom was older, but clean and everything worked fine. Enjoyed the atmosphere. We felt safe in this location. Close to Presque Isl.

We enjoyed our 2 days at the Glass House. Very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. This is an old fashioned motel but well maintained and clean. Also a very good value. It is also very convenient to Presque Isle, the casino and the mall.

This was our October visit North, and it would not be right without 2 nights at the Glass House Inn. It was also our 40th Anniversary and the entire visit was perfect. As we've posted before, this motel takes one back to simpler days, and provides all one wants. Our King bed room is so comfortable, along with recliner, fridge... More

It's always a pleasure when our guests pay us a return visit, but the fact that you and your wife chose to celebrate such a milestone at the Glass House Inn really means a lot to us. Well to start it was a very clean and relaxing. Really close to Walnut Creek the prices are reasonable. The employees were great and one gave me toothpaste because I forgot mine and Randie went above and beyond for me to watch a Penguins game in the Lobby because they didn't get that channel in the rooms I will be... This is a basic motel, with basic amenities. Beds were comfortable (more than most other motels on this trip). No heat, so an oil-filled electric heater was brought into the room - warmed it up well. Breakfast was very basic - cereal, fruit, some type of pastry. Coffee was good though. Would I recommend this motel - no - there... More

This is definitely an older Mom and Pop. Grounds were neat and clean. Rooms were clean..bathroom very clean. Mattresses not updated nor pillows. Our room was very 1970's. One whole wall was mirrored. Breakfast was very basic. Coffee, small pastries out of a box, cereal, and apples. No protein. Overall price was equal to what we got.

Thank you for the compliments on our cleanliness. The mattresses have all been replaced within the last few years. Our bathrooms are 1950's and our furniture is a colonial style Thomasville and American of Martinsville which is still available on the market to this day. We advertise a "light" continental breakfast for the convenience of our guests. Thank you again... More

Love this place. We were here about 25 years ago. Old style Mom and Pop place, family owned. Furnishings are dated but the rooms are very clean and charming. We like to support small businesses..So nice to park right by your door. Local restaurants nearby.

This place was clean, but other than that I can't say much that was positive. It is out dated. The headboard was pretty but the rest of the decor was old, ugly and creepy. The microwave had dials. There is a train that runs multiple times a night right behind the motel. It is also located on a main road... More

The train tracks are 7 blocks north of the motel, not right behind it. Our airport averages about 6 flights a day with small regional jets. The microwave with dials is actually new. The furniture is American of Martinsville colonial style which is the theme of the motel. The lamps are new and include electric outlets to plug in phone... More
