This was our third stay at this hotel in the past 3-5 years. Normally it was fine. This time, they placed us in a room where there was mold all over the ceiling in the bathroom (pictures attached) and they claim they didn’t even know it was there. Kinda hard to believe when there’s a massive circle of mold in the bathroom. They did switch us to a different room, but we had to wait 2 hours, sitting on hard chairs in the lobby, because their washing machine had broken that morning and they had no sheets for the rooms (it was 5 pm when this was going on...and they said the washer broke at 10 am). We had already had a rough day, attending a funeral that morning, and just wanted to relax as we both weren’t feeling well, but that wasn’t possible. There was no compensation for our inconvenience. The front desk staff were nice and gave us a different room. We did hear that the GM is hardly ever around, so maybe that’s why this hotel is going downhill? I sure hope they fix the mold issue....if they give you room 219, check the ceiling in the bathroom. Mold is nothing to mess around with!

Nice clean hotel, VERY noisy area tho(IN 2 NIGHTS, I GOT 4 HOURS SLEEP). Dont stay in even # rooms, they have a minimal view of the bay thru trees, but the highway is right in front of the hotel and walls are paper thin, drag racing thurs night 330am(u can see the tire marks on the street), motorcycle races fri night midnight, bigfoot above us all night stomping, covid breakfast was a joke, blk bananas, sm box cereal, tiny apple juice. Pool/hot tub ok/small. No fan in bathroom/shower, no toiletries. They charge $1.68 per day to use the safe in the room. Maybe with the money they save on breakfast it should be included, like other hotels.

Was charged full price for the room. The pool was closed, no ice, no breakfast, and the beds were bad. Will never be back to stay or look at. Bad place also was to loud from the street noise. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!

I arrived to self quarantine after visiting my daughter in California and prior to moving back in with my 87 year old mother. To set the record straight, I had no symptoms of Covid19. I was just ensuring that my mom was safe. This hotel refused all services. No towels, no trash removal, etc. I accepted that and the fact that all amenities were curtailed. All I asked for was a one hour late checkout and they said no. I paid for all those amenities which were denied. I accepted that in light of the crisis. But come on, I can have an extra hour. Ridiculous.

Response from lchilson, General Manager at Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - Erie
Responded Apr 1, 2020
I am so sorry that you had a bad experience! Although our pool and breakfast are shut down- we are still offering housekeeping services to our guests! And if you missed the regular housekeeping services the front desk should have given you towels and removed your trash. Our regular check out time is 11am- we can extend as a courtesy for an hour! I confirmed with the Cobblestone in Harborcreek , PA that you were a guest at their hotel. Please contact me directly at 814-455-1010 so we can discuss! I would like to use this situation as a training tool for our staff.

Spent 1 night here. Comforable. Had hot tub but temp warm at best. Overall, good price.zTiny parking lot. Free breakfast was about what you would expect, nothing special. Cramped space but hotel was pretty empty so not an issue. I would stay again.

Thank you for your feedback. The hot tub temp is around 100 degrees. It is warm- not HOT! The parking lot is small but we do have enough spaces for the number of rooms at the hotel. Next time you are in the area- we would definitely like to see you again!
