What stood out to me was the Staff, especially the restaurant, bar and event staff. Behind the scenes, the food was excellent - served hot and fresh. Staff who stood out - Reily, Erik and Paige. Additionally, the covered parking garage was a plus as we had snow. Add to it comfortable beds and it was a fantastic weekend :) As a transgender person, I felt accepted and worthy. You're Staff was wonderful and will be the reason we (as well as my family) will return. <3
We didn’t stay, but we had breakfast on Tall Ships weekend. We were seated outside as we requested, a nice view of the tall ships. We had dined here before during one of our trips to Erie. I was disappointed that I couldn’t get lunch at 11:15, their lunch starts at 12 noon. I browsed the menu and decided on the eggs with potatoes and sausage gravy. Well, my disappointment of not getting lunch was quickly squelched, that breakfast was fantastic! On the flip side, my wife had eggs Benedict but complained that it was cold. The service was friendly and prompt, I’d go back again for sure.
On my recent business trip to Erie I had the pleasure of staying in the Erie Sheraton Bayfront at end of State Street and the bay. What a beautiful hotel from the moment you walk into the lobby and see the roaring fireplace. During my stay Erie experienced their first winter nor-easter of the season and my room had a view of the lake and I watched the snow fly endlessly all night. The staff are very courteous from the reception to the bartenders to the housekeeping staff. Overall, a great stay and I will choose the Bayfront when traveling to Erie for any future business trips.
As a Marriott Titanium member I rarely right a review but this stay was worth it. The young man who checked me in was super friendly, offered free parking and the ability to leave the car out front while I dropped my bag in my room. I took advantage of the bar/restaurant and had a great filet. The room was super clean, with a great view of the marina. The concierge area was nice and convenient as well. Frequent travelers...stay here. Its a great night's sleep.
I have stayed at this hotel for the last 6 years for various expo's. This year they tried to "upgrade" us for a fee, we have never had to pay for parking, our first room smelled so musty we had to move and it took 4 blow dryers before we got one that worked. And the one that did work was about to catch on fire! The mattress was so uncomfortable, I woke it in the morning with total body aches. Not your typical Marriott stay for sure!
We took my sister and her boyfriend to Erie Pennsylvania for a fun filled winery hopping weekend. The hotel was awesome, and the staff were all very friendly. The bar manager, Dawn was very friendly and happy to keep us in food and beverages. Everything tasted good from breakfast to dinner, and I would return in a heartbeat for another fun weekend.
Beautiful hotel with awesome lobby with fire feature and restaurant, attached by sky bridge to an amazing convention center, with great room views. Best in-room coffee machine with free bottled water and Starbucks coffee packs with half and half. Well appointed with nice beds and pillows and really great towels, BUT, has the worst shower imaginable. The shower head is fixed at about 5 1/2 feet and there is low water pressure so you have to squat to shampoo your hair or wash your face. In the mornings the water only gets warm. No hot showers here. The shower bar is not curved out and mounted too close to the tub so it rubs against you while you shower. See shower picture. I had room 725, I should have checked out or demanded a different room the first morning but was busy with convention I was attending. After three nights I found I could park directly at Bayfront Convention center free so I checked out a day early and lodged off site. No dresser in room, only an armoire that had long closet with ironing board on left side causing hangers to bunch but there was a right side with a safe and cubby holes which was ok but weird. The 7th floor laundry room was missing the drier which was also OK as o didn’t need it, but the vent tube was laying out on floor around a garbage pail placed where the drier should be. Visually weird passing it each day and like the shower and armoire it was inconsistent with a Sheraton Hotel.…
Hotel needed a good cleaning overall. Ran out of tissue boxes. Food service was just ok as was food. Only two of my meals were very good. Others were only average. Staff esp at front desk were not very friendly & wait staff were only ok. Several tables in restaurant seemed to o be damaged on top and others were sticky. Reservations on weekends for breakfast would be very helpful. The whole hotel just seemed messy. Mattress in room 400 was lumpy/hard in spots.
Attended a Business Conference at Sheraton, Erie Bayfront. Service during registration and conference activities was excellent. A few timing and logistics inconveniences. Overall, a pleasant and positive stay!
Relaxing waterfront atmosphere near several different local venues. Employees were knowledgeable and respectful. Restaurant and bar was adequately staffed and provided amazing service and quality of food and drink. Looking for forward to a December return.
