My sister, brother-in-law and I recently stayed in the Smithton Guest House, which is right next to the gorgeous historic inn. We were traveling with our small dogs, and delighted to find a spacious fenced in yard for our little guys. The guest house itself is undergoing renovations, but don't let that dissuade you from staying in this charming old... More

I found this hotel or rather Inn by chance just driving by (after a mishap in my booking for another hotel, I had found myself without a place to stay in Ephrata). I saw the stone walls and the nice, vintage-y sign and it felt like a house straight from the set of the Lord of the Rings -the way... More

Great atmoshere, people, accomodations. Bfast unlike any i have had in years. Took the edge off a frantic schedule. Smell of hot hot blue berry muffins baking as coming down the stairs that morning brought back memories of happier days of grndma baking something good and worth waking up early for. Had fun.

Spent six nights in the well appointed "Chocolate Room". B&B owners, Rebecca and Dave Gallagher, are appropriately attuned to their guests interests and needs. As a result, the inn is thoughtfully and well managed - they even have a Tesla electric car recharging station in the parking lot(!) Breakfasts are delicious, well prepared, and offer a variety of options including:... More

We booked the Guest House at the Smithton Inn for two nights over Labor Day weekend to serve as a central meeting point for an afternoon gathering of family we have scattered across PA. We liked the idea of having our own separate space with 2 bds, a full kitchen and a big yard for our toddler to run around... More

This B&B was wonderful. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. Rebecca the inn keeper was so informative. We were traveling with our 12 year old daughter and she had great suggestions for things she enjoyed. The breakfasts were outstanding. The inn is historic but with all the modern comforts even enough charging stations for all our devices.

Visited the area in August with a handful of other older couples and decided to stay here as there were not many options available. The area is always very busy and you need time ahead to really plan out your visits. Regardless, I did not read any reviews ahead of time and booked because it was the only thing available.... More

Dear Katie, I think there’s a strong lesson to be learned by BOTH of us with your review! For me, I think I need to tell every guest when they arrive, that we run our property with the expectation that EVERY guest should have a “5-star experience”, and if for any reason you feel like we’re not living up to... My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the B&B in August of 2016. We stayed in the Sage room. The Place is restored to its dated historic time period and it is beautiful and very clean. The woodwork is amazing. Dave and Rebecca the innkeepers are just lovely. Rebecca is an AMAZING cook! She made me gluten free meals... More

My wife and I just returned from a two night stay at this wonderful b and b just outside of the main town of Ephrata, Pa. Our room was very comfortable, nicely decorated and quiet. The breakfasts were very creative and well prepared. The downstairs sitting room was also very pleasant. It was too hot to be outside, but the... More

We stayed two nights in early August. As a party of 3, we had two bedrooms, the Sage room, an accessible bedroom on the ground floor, and the Blue Room on the second floor. Both were absolutely lovely. Each had great features including working fireplaces - although in August we were more interested in working air conditioners, which we had.... More
