The Historic Smithton Inn is comfortable and clean, and the owners are knowledgeable about the area, helpful, caring, and personable. The room we stayed in was comfortable, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. We had a mini fridge to keep drinks and dinner leftovers cold. There is a microwave oven, paper plates, napkins, and cups available for guests which came in handy for reheating leftovers for lunch or dinner. The grounds are well maintained and inviting for an afternoon of reading or time around the fire pit with friends. The Inn is close to a variety of restaurants and a trip to Lancaster City. There are several nice parks within walking distance and a wide variety of activities in the area. I can't write a review without mentioning the breakfast. Rebecca is a fantastic cook! Every breakfast was delicious and filling. We are already talking about our next trip to The Historic Smithton Inn.

What an amazing surprise when my company booked me at this historic B & B. I was given the Red Room which so comfortable and cozy I wanted to stay in bed longer than I usually do. Love having a fireplace in my room! I'm kind of a picky eater and the breakfast was the best I've ever experienced and I've been all over the world for the past 40 years as I was in the airline industry. Everything was fresh and delicious and I could tell it was made with great care and attention with each quality ingredient. I've been back twice since my first visit and this will be my first choice every time. Oh, and I was lucky enough to get the red room each time! Thanks Rebecca and Dave for one of the most memorable experiences of my numerous travels around the world!

Not only is the Smithton Inn beautiful with historic charm but also has modern amenities and the most gracious hostess and host the Gallaghers. The complementary breakfast was unbelievable and Mrs. Gallagher made everything, including bread, muffins, etc., from scratch. Our room was beyond clean and comfortable with a small fireplace equipped with a duralog. I highly recommend the Smithton for a weekend getaway and hope to plan another trip there soon.

This Historic Inn was absolutely beautiful. We based ourselves out of here, while I worked in Myerstown. This spot was fantastic. We had the Crimson Dove Suite - it was super clean, spacious, complete with your own sitting area, fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The breakfasts were delicious. The staff/owners were fantastically friendly - once we left my wife was looking into owning an inn. We ended up buying a set of sheets and blankets as they were so comfortable (and soaps). Plenty of parking.
