Chose the Red Lion as it’s not too far from the flaming barrel parade in Allendale Town. It’s a really old pub in a nice little village, well located for access to interesting places. The staff were really nice and helpful - I thought I’d booked a twin room but hadnt, and they

Dear unlikelyfooligan, I have noted with concern your review of your recent visit. I am very disappointed you did not enjoy the experience. We have tried very hard to offer high standards of food and service and would offer my sincere apologies if this was not the case during your visit. We pride ourselves on our local northumbrian produce and especially on our friendly customer service. I do hope that you will return in the future so that you may experience our usual friendly atmosphere Best Regards Lian
