Our first visit to Eagles Mere but long recommended to us. It was a nice meet up spot with friends we haven't seen in almost a year. Accommodations were wonderful. We had the Allegheny Suite - nice sitting room, bedroom and spacious bathroom. Breakfasts were great with variety every day. Glad to discover the AC Drinkery restaurant on the lower level was open because we were here off seasons and not much else was open. We had three delicious dinners at the restaurant. We will return again someday.

My first time back in over 30 years. The inn has been nicely updated. A multi-course breakfast (far above and beyond a continental breakfast) is included. Dinner is available in the dining room.

We were visiting Eagles Mere with friends, and all (3 couples) stayed at the Inn. Nicely appointed room and bath - very clean, a modern bathroom. Love the old photos in the rooms and the hallways. Right in the heart of the walkable small downtown. A bar and restaurant in the lower level - drinks at the bar and our Friday meal at the restaurant. Very good. Each morning we gathered together for breakfast in the breakfast rooms, to plot our days. Management very helpful in letting us know what to see and do in the area. Good hiking, and in October, just beautiful peak leaf season. Very enjoyable time there.

My wife and I stayed at the Eagles Mere in just recently during a beautiful three day weekend In September. We ate at the Inn the first night and the food is absolutely wonderful. The chef a this Inn makes some amazing food. The hosts at the Inn are very friendly, accommodating and run a very efficient and very clean establishment. The room we stayed in was very clean and spacious. We enjoyed the daily breakfast and food. That is just another plus at this Inn. If you need a respite or a time to relax and enjoy life, please stay at this Inn and enjoy your time there. We will be back again!

This was my first time staying at Eagles Mere Inn. The Inn is lovely AND the staff was exceptional. They were friendly, welcoming, and eager to help in any way. They were so accommodating to all in our group. We are already planning our next stay here.

My wife and I highly recommend the Eagles Mere Inn. We've enjoyed staying at the Inn for more than 15 years during weekdays in the beginning and end of the summer. We always look forward to swimming at the beach and using the Inn's kayaks on the private lake as well as hiking on the beautiful trail surrounding the lake through a natural tunnel of hemlocks and mountain laurel only 3 feet from the lake. In recent years, the owners have continued to invest in very impressive upgrades and enhancements to the Inn and the dining options. The new host at the Inn is very friendly and dedicated to outstanding service for his guests. We also enjoy simply strolling through the town, which is an ideal base for exploring nearby World's End State Park and Ricketts Glen State Park.

Was there about 5 years ago, menu was tired, repetitive and inconsistent but they try hard. Now it is fantastic, great service, very knowing wait staff, our new favorite place to go in the general Eagles Mere area. Way to go and you have transformed great fare and drinks in this iconic town.

I so wanted to enjoy this inn, but it was lackluster, especially considering the history and opulence of the town and the service it provided in history. Upon arrival I asked for information about passes to the museum as advertised on their website. None were forthcoming. Not a HUGE deal, but irritating. Were informed that breakfast started at 8am and went to 9;30am. That is late for breakfast. A communal Keurig for coffee is downstairs and hardly adequate. The tiny wastebasket provided for trash from creamers, sugars packets and stirrers was overflowing. The hutch holding the coffee station had handles that broke off in my husband's hand when he went looking for more coffee flavors as the sign directed us to do. When it was finally time for breakfast, guests started filing in, only to find that not everything was ready. While there was a nice array of fresh fruit available both mornings, the first morning it appeared that they tried to pass off the previous night's dining mashed potatoes as some sort of hash brown offering. No breakfast meats were provided, save some standard scrambled eggs. The second morning was much the same, although the potatoes were a variety of whole potatoes and sweet potatoes, again leaving the impression that they were leftovers. Only scrambled eggs as a protein, no bacon, no sausage. Disappointing. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, however their pillows were horrible. They flattened down to nothing and provided no support for either sleeping or propping up in bed to watch a show or read. There was a small window air conditioner, which lost its effectiveness the more it ran. Most outlets were in use already and the ones that were left did not grip our chargers and they fell out of the sockets. The window treatments blocked the air flow from the air conditioner. To have privacy, I had to rig a hanger with clips to keep the top of the window covered, but still let the air conditioner try to do the job. There were no pull down shades or anything to block the light from the street lights and house lights and a large amount of light from the hallway streamed in through the door. The bathroom was clean , but did lack an exhaust fan which made for some uncomfortable time. When the door is closed, there is no air and it quickly becomes a sauna and impossible to apply makeup or do one's hair while dripping with perspiration. We were asked the first night if we wanted to make a reservation at their restaurant. So we made a reservation for 8pm. We showed up and the staff said it would be a wait. We waited for over a half an hour before we were seated and were left wondering why we bothered making a reservation at all. Although they had tables inside where we could have been seated, it appeared that they only wanted people to eat outside. Our server was more than capable and I appreciated her service. The food was fine. A cute little bar was advertised on the website, but was a ghost town down there, which was another disappointment as I would have liked to have had a nice quiet drink and there was absolutely no room at the outside tent/patio bar. The sign said nothing about the Drinkery being seasonal but finding someone at the desk to inquire about much of anything proved to be impossible the many times we tried. Eh, I wouldn't stay there again.

Every aspect of our stay at Eagles Mere Inn was truly perfect. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the inn had been recently tastefully restored. Everything was fresh, clean, and new from the room key ring to the bicycles that we borrowed to bike around the lake! We had dinner and breakfast at the inn; everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The location of the inn allowed for an easy nighttime drive to see the sunset at the overlook and an unforgettable morning walk around the lake. How wonderful that this inn complements this pristine area.
