We wanted to check out Eagles Mere and Ricketts Glen State Park so we chose the Crestmont Inn for our accomodations. Due to Covid there is no contact with any person which definitely makes it less personal. There are no meals and instead guests get a coupon to take to the Sweet Shoppe for a discounted breakfast (which was very good!) The room we had was large with a large bathroom as well as an area with a large jetted tub which was wonderful. Everything was in working order and very clean. There is a hospitality room down the hall with a coffee machine and anything one would need to make hot chocolate, tea, etc. I would imagine that in the summer it would be nice to have the lake privileges. We were there in September so we enjoyed a walk around the lake which took about an hour. This is a nice place if you want a quiet getaway.

My family and I stayed in the Evergreen Family Suite for 3 nights over the 4th of July, and what a treat! Nine of us slept very comfortably in the renovated upstairs apartment. Housekeeping does an amazing job with cleaning, and towels were soft and plush. Elna and Fred thought of everything right down to ice cubes in the freezer! I can’t say enough about this “home away from home”…it was wonderful!

Fred and Elna were wonderful hosts to us and the others staying. We would definitely stay again. We enjoyed the breakfast basket and the campfire. Easy access to the lake. Close proximity to Worlds End State Park.

I purchased a one-night stay at the Crestmont Inn on Groupon. When I called to make the reservation I was told there were three rooms available the night I was planning to make the reservation. After I had mentioned I purchased a one-night stay on Groupon, I was told there was actually only one room available - the Oliver Garden Room. Although the Groupon terms said I was entitled to a one-night stay in ANY room at the Inn, I relented and booked the Oliver Garden Room.

After booking the room I attempted to contact the Inn on several occasions to confirm the reservation (I was told I would receive an email confirmation of my reservation, but never did). It was nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone at the Inn. I eventually received a voicemail message confirming my stay.

When my boyfriend and I arrived at the Inn, the room we booked did not look remotely like the room advertised on their website (see the attached pictures, they speak for themselves). Although the room was clean, it was cheaply done and it felt like we were staying in a motel, not a charming B&B.

On Groupon I purchased the "romance package" which included dinner and a bottle of champagne and strawberries. Despite asking for the champagne TWICE, the champagne never arrived. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff, they told me they knocked on my door but I was not there to receive the champagne, so they took it back. When I inquired about it again, they didn't seem to care because the champagne never arrived.

The dinner was decent, but the service slow. Furthermore, I ordered chicken marsala but I received penne pasta with some chicken thrown in (with extra salty watery sauce). This is not the type of chicken marsala I am accustomed to (or the chicken marsala advertised on the Inn's menu).

All in all, this B&B was a disappointment. The room was not as advertised and the staff could care less whether or not we received the champagne we paid for as part of the "romance package." This B&B is currently on the market, and the owners do not seem to care less about the service and/or the customers. It seems like the only thing the owner cares about is making a quick buck off of Groupon customers and selling this property ASAP.

I decided to purchase the Groupon because of the positive reviews I read here on TripAdvisor. Unfortunately, my experience was poor. I have a sneaking suspicion there is a special "economy" room reserved for Groupon members only. Think twice before you book a stay at this B&B.

The only reason I rate this 2 stars instead of 1 is because the room was clean (although the pillows and mattress were clearly old).

This was not an inexpensive getaway. Apparently there was a special Groupon discount and there was a full house but we were unaware and paid full price which would have been fine if we’d gotten what we expected. We were looking forward to a nice quiet getaway . Being October and perfect weather I wanted to open the windows and enjoy the peace and quiet. When we were shown to our room there was a window air conditioner going full blast so I turned it off and opened other windows. BIG MISTAKE. There was what appeared to be a really noisy generator below that ran nonstop. Did not sleep well because of the noise. Resigned to have AC on constantly. There was no closet or armoire to hang your items just wall pegs. The bathroom sink was pulled away from the wall.
There was a room where you could get coffee, tea and snacks. More often than not there were no clean mugs just used mugs and it was a mess. The breakfast buffet was lukewarm and had no fruit, just juices.

The Crestmont Inn was highly disappointing. The photos on the internet are nothing like the rooms. The place smelled like an old nursing facility. The bed pillows smelled so bad we couldn't even use them. The room had dust and spider webs. We wanted to open the window for fresh air but with only one window that had an air conditioner it was impossible. It was gorgeous outside and we believe the air conditioner was running when we got there to mask the smell. When we went to the lower level of the Inn, we believe they had water damage at some point because we smelled mold, like an old basement. We spent as much time outside to avoid the room. The Inn's restaurant is also closed on Monday so we drove five minutes away to the Eagles Mere Inn for dinner. If you want to visit Eagles Mere, do yourself a favor and stay at Eagles Mere instead. We were highly disappointed in the room/Inn and would never go back even if the rooms were free.

After a stay at the crestmont inn, the only 2 words I could think of is "never again". The manager in training (Katelynn) was extremely unprofessional and posted my email conversation that I had with her on a social media site. I had asked her if she had any recommendations of things to do in the town, and I was then emailed by the RA of her school, who informed me that she posted our conversation on her college social media site. She did not edit out my name or email address which is how the guy got in contact with me to inform me of this. She then wrote comments on her social media saying how she wanted to tell me to " **** off." When I informed her that I was told about this by someone at her school, she did not even apologize and acted cold to us during our stay.
In addition to that, there was no hot water in the hotel room and was told it would be fixed in a couple of hours. It was not fixed until much later on,and some of the guests didn't even get the hot water back at all.
The rooms were dirty looking, the sheets stained, and the service horrible. If you want a nice, relaxing time in a nice b & b, this is not the place for you. Aside from that, there was also nothing at all to do in the town.

First let me start by simply saying this review is untrue and unfair, we have and by the administrator of the media site admission this was deemed a hacked and fraud situation!!!! Kate is a working intern from a local culinary school and comes highly regarded from the school and has done nothing but an exceptional job for us and we stand behind her 100%. For you hot lack of hot water I will apologize as I have over and over and you were refunded upon check out entirely. As for you other comments they are disrespectful and inaccurate and I will not address them any further. We have asked Trip Advisor that this comment be taken down. None of the actions are condonable by myself or any of the staff. The beauty of Eagles Mere is that it is laid back and quite and an escape from the madness of the city and we are clear on our website that we are a Victorian Country Inn not a Holiday Inn nor do we intend to be. Most guest will find charm and character in our building you did not and for that I'm sorry, but please don't attack our staff! Thanks.........

This Country Inn in Eagles Mere, Pennsylvania looks really fantastic online. . . I booked the Dickerson Suite.
The room is very large and the bed is quite comfortable.
There is a fireplace ( which I didnt use being it was summer). An individual a/c unit is in the room ( which is too small to effectively cool the large room).
There were several issues with the room. The whirlpool tub cold water tap didnt work properly. While it seemed the tap was on high it was actually off as the handle just turned completely around. Trying to turn it off was interesting also as you had to move the handle back and forth till it finally stopped.
Then there is the bathroom problem. There seems to be some kind of leak in the bathroom when you use the tub/shower. From the look of the floor it has been going on some time as the floor was peeling back along the wall and there was black algae/mold on the floor. Well I didnt pay enough attention to the problem with the floor and took a shower anyway. When I was trying to get out of the high- walled claw foot tub I stepped on the mat and slid across the floor to the opposite wall. There was at least 2 inches of water on the floor reaching all the way to the vanity and the mat was very slippery. I caught my foot on the rim of the tub when I slid and fell.
I informed the owners of the problem with the tub and the fact that I had fallen and they were less than concerned with the problem. I felt as if they just didnt care.
For the "best" room in the inn I was highly disappointed in it.
The Crestmont serves breakfast included in your rates and that is excellent. In fact all of the food at the inn is excellent. I will cover food in the restaurant portion of the review.

We had reservations for 3 months prior. Received hardcopy confirmation in the mail and an email confirmation a week prior to our stay. Had been looking forward to a nice weekend and reconnecting. Packed up and drove the hour in pouring down rain to the Inn. Got there and was greeted by a nice lady and the food smelled wonderful coming from the kitchen. She took us to "our room". Immediately realized this wasn't our room (no Jacuzzi tub) went back to front office to get corrected. At this point things seemed to get suspicious. Lady had "no idea what happened". Some other guy appeared said he could give us the room we were shown for a discount & a comp dinner. Not happening. So they went to get the owner. He said they would give us the room we were shown for free. By this time we felt they knew all along that they had rented our room, probably to someone who wanted a 2 or 3 night stay (ours was only for 1 night) instead of honoring our reservation and purposefully tried to cover it up. So we got a full refund and went to the place you go when you don't know where else to go. Home. Then to top it off a few days later we got a "Thank you for staying with us" email from them. PFT...
