Overall really nice stay! Hotel and property are very very clean. This location is easily accessible off the main highway with a great choice of restaurants and shopping in the immediate area. The staff was very nice and breakfast selection was great for a complimentary breakfast. Will definitely return and stay here if in the area.

I stayed here one night while returning home from a Canadian road trip. The room was clean and the bed was great to sleep in. The hotel staff were very kind and they offered complementary bottled water near the front desk. Even though the hotel is next to a train track that does get some use, the train sound was very muted compared to other train tracks I've been near. It is very near Interstate 80, but you don't hear the traffic noises. All in all this hotel does align with what I've come to expect of Fairfield Inn standards. Unfortunately, I had to reduce one star because something was up in the plumbing where the air going through the pipes was VERY loud. It actually woke me up once in the middle of the night. I figured it was a roll of the dice since I've been staying in so many hotels lately. Bottom Line: I would choose this hotel again if I found myself in the area and needed lodging.

Great location right off I-80 and on the main road into DuBois. Restaurant next door if you want to grab a bite to eat. In room coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. Comfy beds, large glassed-in shower. FREE breakfast with numerous types of coffee. Paid $120 via a group rate for a Saturday night stay and felt this was a very good value. Giving four instead of five stars because the heating/cooling system was loud and the room seemed a little damp; think this is an HVAC issue with the systems in the rooms.

Check in was quick. The lady at the desk was very pleasant. Explained the new covid procedures. Asked us if we needed a hair dryer and coffee for the room. She also offered free bottles of water to us. These items are not currently in the room, the hair dryer is sanitized after each guest. She gave us the coffee and hair dryer to take up to the room with us. The room has a seal on it stating it has been cleaned and sanitized and indicating we are the first person in since the cleaning. The room was immaculate, even the TV remote was in a sleeve indication it was sanitized.

An average property in my opinion-nothing memorable. Gave a 4 because it was clean. Hotels seem to have gone downhill in upkeep/cleanliness since 2019, yet rates have increased. PRO: easy to get to from hwy., no carpet, clean bedding, no mold in bathroom - looks to have been updated in recent years-not completely, but much better than most. Pub/restaurant right next door w/decent food and outdoor covered patio. CON: The AC/heat unit smelled horrible-moldy when turned on. I am allergic and will get ill so we didn't use it but luckily weather was good. Windows do not open at all, not even a crack like some of the Courtyards do. Checkin/out was ok - not very welcoming...got weird looks wearing a mask (prevention-not sick). Was not greeted with a welcome @ check-in nor asked how everything went at checkout. Beds were not comfortable for me, felt like a wooden board with a topper. Woke up achey ... but that is probably a personal thing. Not familiar with area - were passing through on long road trip- so this may be a better choice than other hotels in area. We tend to have better experiences with Marriott properties.

To start off, the worst perfume smell I’ve ever smelled slaps you upon arrival. The beds are extremely hard - no pillow top cover… my family woke up to a few bug bites... rooms are dirty, with peeling wallpaper and smoke spots. The bathroom has peeling wallpaper, the dirtiest walls I’ve ever seen for a Fairfield. The pool wasn’t open even though it was very clean, and also 80 degrees. The staff - cleaning staff and desk staff at night are extremely rude and unwelcoming. Gave us 3 towels for 4 people then acted like it was the end of the world when we asked for a couple more. Dont bring your kids here - the rudest encounter we have ever had. They’ll interrogate you ‘what are you doing here???’ while going up to the elevator to your room. Unprofessional. The gentleman in charge of breakfast was the best thing about our stay here. He was very kind and accommodating. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a bad experience at a Marriot. This place is awful.

This hotel was clean with a great continental breakfast and a restaurant/pub in the same parking lot. It is only a 45 minute drive to Penn State and beat the over $1,000.00 a night rooms in State College for graduation. Customer was excellent. Only thing is, everything in the town closes early, even on the weekends.

The staff was lovely and the lobby is beautiful and clean but the smell in the rooms are atrocious!! Our first room reeked of mold and mildew so they kindly switched us to another room. Same odor, not as strong the first night but on our third night it’s become unbearable. My eyes started watering. It’s very obvious there’s some kind of mold/water issue going on. It comes from the wall where the air unit is, and on the ceiling of our room I see water stains in the corner. Also the hallway has peeling wallpaper with what looks like water bubbles. I wouldn’t stay here again due to that issue

Hotel was ok. Staff was great. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows are too squishy to give any support. The room smelled musty and damp. They do offer breakfast but it's only cereal and muffins. All in all it was decent but not something I'd rush back for.

Over the years I have stayed at just about every hotel in DuBois and recently tried the Fairfield Inn. Without a doubt probably the best accommodations in the area. The desk staff and room attendant were very cheerful and friendly. The lobby and my room were very clean. Loved the large shower and the fact it didn't have a tub. The king size mattress was very comfortable.

My only 2 negatives was the fact that all sleeping pillows were very soft. I think they need to intermingle a couple of firmer pillows to offset the soft ones. I also understand we are moving out of the Covid mode and I think its time to bring back the regular morning breakfast. If you are opting out of the normal breakfast then cut the room rate.

Those are both minor negatives but all in all it was one of my nicer hotel experiences!
