One of us had this lovely farm on her 'bucket list' and our stay was special indeed - coming as it did on Oscar Hammerstein's birthday. Dr Cole, the owner, offered a warm welcome with good wine and cheese, wonderful breakfasts, and just the right amount of attentiveness. We had the run of the place the two nights we stayed... More

We stayed here a few years ago and enjoyed our visit and were expecting to experience at least the same, but were disappointed to see that the property and home have not been kept up or invested in since our last visit. The inn keeper was very friendly and set out wine and a few small pieces of cheese and... More

I've become a regular here for business and love the natural get away feel while being so close to town. Genuine delight, quiet, gracious, spacious place to stay. Innkeeper better than any, bar none. Historic place makes this place superb!

Recently my wife and I had the great pleasure of spending a weekend at the Highland Farms Bed and Breakfast. Once the home of Oscar Hammerstein, II, this place has been lovingly restored and maintained by it's current innkeeper. Located on 5 acres of rolling landscape this home is welcoming and comfortable while at the same time, it surrounds you... More

My husband and I went to Highland Farms for Valentine's weekend. We arrived and there was a bottle of white wine and an assortment of cheese and crackers. We toured the home since we were the only ones staying that weekend. We stayed in the South Pacific room, this is the room that Oscar Hammerstein and his wife Dorothy slept.... More

Two of my girlfriends and I planned a girls weekend in Doylestown and found Highland Farm while looking for a quaint B&B. We hit the lottery with this location. The innkeeper was so warm, kind and accommodating. She made an extra bed up for us and she went out of her way to made sure that my friend had a... More

Oscar Hammerstein II's house is a wonderful B and B, just outside downtown Doylestown. Owner Christine elegantly oversees the house and amenities, and prepares a stellar breakfast. The King and I bedroom is Hammerstein's former study. It is large and beautifully furnished. The property has a pool. The single item that is out of place is regular road noise from... More

Beautiful historic property with tasteful, high-quality decor and lush grounds that make it seem a world away. The South Pacific room was romantic and peaceful with a spacious sitting area and thoughtful details like JR Watkins natural soaps and a closet light that automatically turned on when the closet door was opened. We visited in August, and the flowering native... More

My friend from college and I spent 2 nights here. It was wonderful. We stayed in the Carousel room which was perfect for our time together. Innkeeper Christine was a wonderful host. She provided a lot of information about this 20 year home of Oscar Hammerstein. The house is beautiful. The pool, installed by Hammerstein was a pleasure. As I... More

While looking for a B&B for Memorial Day Weekend (semi last minute) for me and my girlfriend, I stumbled across HF. Although my plan was to stay in New Hope for the night, the only availabilities were located outside of NH. Doylestown is located about 15 minutes away from New Hope. I consider myself lucky that we couldn't find a... More
