Pine Barn Inn garners appreciation for its attentive service, especially during personal hardships, as travelers highlight the staff's helpfulness. While opinions on value are mixed, with some concerns over the cost relative to room conditions and amenities, the hotel's cleanliness receives praise. Guests enjoy the professional atmosphere and the hotel's prime location near medical facilities and local attractions. The on-site restaurant is a highlight, though some amenities could be improved.

Our stay fell during the mass closures to to COVID-19, but despite state required closures of all dine-in restaurants and other mandatory daily adjustments, they managed to take excellent care of us. Rooms are large and clean, beds are super comfortable and the staff was amazing during very trying times. We highly recommend staying here!

Thank you so much tsm02. This certainly is uncharted waters for all of us but our goal to offer the best service possible remains the same so it's so great to hear that we were able to do so for you. We understand that the current situation is difficult for all of us and very much appreciate you taking the time to leave this review.

I visited the Pine Barn Inn on business for Geisinger Health System. It is a very convenient and inexpensive hotel for anyone who needs to attend to matters at Geisinger Medical Center. The hospital main entrance is a 60 second walk away!

The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The king guest room I stayed in (329) was quite spacious. The bathroom had both pros and cons. On the downside, shower drainage was poor. On the plus-side, the bathroom fan worked exceptionally well at dehumidifying the room quickly after a shower. Also, the water is very hard, which is a plus for someone like me whose hair benefits from hard water.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Danville. The only thing I’ll note is that the name of this hotel is a little deceiving. I expected something called “The Pine Barn Inn” to be quaint, kitschy, and highly themed… something out of a Hallmark movie. In reality, although the lobby is well-themed, the actual rooms look like any other chain hotel. Not a bad thing, just not what people might be expecting.

The property is nicely updated and our room (3 of us in a king suite) was spacious and comfortable. Love the extra sink area in the bedroom, so that way all progress doesn't stop if someone is using the main bathroom. The quality of the food (Sun brunch for us) was excellent. We used the hotel as home base for a weekend trip to the Knoebles amusement park, which is about 15 minutes away.

We have been staying at the Pine Barn Inn for years now and we are always warmly welcomed. The ongoing improvements and enhancements to the property and rooms are great. The location and ease to the town cannot be beat! The Pine Barn Inn is a clean, comfortable and accommodating hotel in this small town.

Thank you so much for your more than kind review, InnOnTurner! While we always like to hear when we've missed our mark so that we can improve, it's also so great to hear when we've met our goal of offering a comfortable stay with hospitable service. We hope to see you again soon and will strive to continue to offer the kind of stay that you've grown accustom to at Pine Barn Inn.

There aren’t a lot of options in the area but that’s ok because this place is wonderful. The staff is friendly and professional. They will make sure you have what you need. The rooms are always clean. The rooms are only a little bit dated but as this is good solid construction and decoration (not cheap) it is still quite nice. I’m sure they will update things again soon. The restaurant is wonderful. I am very particular, especially about cleanliness, and The Pine Barn Inn checks all of the boxes.

My father-in-law was admitted to Geisinger Medical Hospital so we took our first trip to Danville this past Wednesday. After visiting with him, we were looking for a place to stay. A security guard reccomended the Pine Barn Inn because it was located on the hospital campus. From the minute we walked into the lobby, the staff could not be more nice and helpful. We had our meals at the restaurant at the inn.The food was delicios and the restaurant staff very friendly. We cannot reccomend this hotel highly enough and it was in walking distance to the hospital. If you ever have a family member in the hospital there, this is the place to stay!

Stayed at Pine Barn in the Premier Suite on our wedding night. We walked into a beautiful room where staff had placed a bottle of champagne with strawberries and a congratulatory card signed by the staff. It was a wonderful experience and we can’t say enough good things.

I needed a place to stay overnight last minute when I was getting my Covid 19 vaccine early in the morning and the weather forecast was dicey. I choose the Pine Barn because it was closest to the clinic. The room turned out to be very nice. It had a fridge and microwave which allowed me to save money on dinner and breakfast. The bed was comfortable. The room seemed very clean. I had one that opened to the outside, which I preferred so I could leave the door open for a few minutes, just to know I was getting fresh air and reducing my risk of catching the virus.

The front desk staff was friendly; their cancellation policy was generous. I had actually booked it for two nights because of the forecast but when I didn't need it for both I was able to cancel for the second night with no penalty and no attitude, which I very much appreciated.

I found the Pine Barn Inn very pleasant and homey. Loved the quaint atmosphere. I was looking forward to trying the crabcakes because that is my favorite. unfortunately I was very disappointed.
It had too much filler and too much seasonging. I expected to taste and see the crab meat. It was loaded with a lot of green herb which made the crabcake gritty and too over seasoned so it didn't taste like a crabcake. The shrimp cocktail was watery and not firm. The clams were good, but never saw such tiny, tiny steamed clams. Both salads were very good as was the Chicken breast we add to the salad. Excellent Brussell sprouts. Orange juice was bitter. But on the hold Breakfast was outstanding, cheese omlette, pancakes, ham,and the poached eggs were spot-on absolutely perfect. toast, and delicious jam. Tomato juice perfect, nice and cold. I would eat breakfast for every meal. Simple fresh taste for crabcakes. Rooms, Staff, and Service were A1. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Hello ArchaeologyDoc, while Pine Barn Inn itself does not have a shuttle service, Geisinger does and we are one of the stops on the route by request. The shuttle buses run 5 am to 9:15 pm, Monday through Friday. The shuttle is not available on weekends or holidays. The front desk here at the hotel can call and schedule a pick up for you at the time of departure. Thank you so much.
