I visited the Pine Barn Inn on business for Geisinger Health System. It is a very convenient and inexpensive hotel for anyone who needs to attend to matters at Geisinger Medical Center. The hospital main entrance is a 60 second walk away! The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The king guest room I stayed in (329) was quite spacious. The bathroom had both pros and cons. On the downside, shower drainage was poor. On the plus-side, the bathroom fan worked exceptionally well at dehumidifying the room quickly after a shower. Also, the water is very hard, which is a plus for someone like me whose hair benefits from hard water. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Danville. The only thing I’ll note is that the name of this hotel is a little deceiving. I expected something called “The Pine Barn Inn” to be quaint, kitschy, and highly themed… something out of a Hallmark movie. In reality, although the lobby is well-themed, the actual rooms look like any other chain hotel. Not a bad thing, just not what people might be expecting.

Enjoyed my stay. The room was comfortable, well appointed, spotlessly clean and fresh smelling. the grounds and buildings were well kept, and well lit. I had to make changes to my reservation and the gentleman at the front desk could not be more friendly and accommodating. If I had to fine something to complain about, the mattress could have been more plush. I would absolutely stay here again!

Not worth the price, hotel has damaged chairs in room, management feels it’s best to have damaged ones instead of no chair and have ordered new ones. Room cost should have been lowered, stayed at Hampton Inn the next night and the beds were a lot more comfortable and the rate was $10 cheaper at Hampton.

Hello Mary, We apologize that you felt your stay was not worth the price you paid. As you stated, we have ordered new desk chairs. This had been a project we began in early 2020, as we knew our chairs would need replaced but unfortunately, during peak pandemic, other expenses took priority as we tried to keep our guests and staff as safe as possible. We are in the process of replacing them currently and hope that you will stop in to see the next time you stay in Danville. Thank you so much for the feedback.

Hello Elizabeth, we are sorry to hear that you felt your stay was average at best as we strive to make everyone's experience great. We currently are not doing housekeeping stay over service due to CDC recommendations. This information is included in all reservation confirmation emails as well as posted at the front desk, our staff has also tried to verbally remind every guest at check in and I'm sorry if that was not done in this case. We do have handicapped entrances at all three main entrance points of our main building as well as multiple handicapped accessible rooms that are easy to get to in both of our lodging buildings and are always willing to do our best to ensure those requests are met when asked. I know that even though we were fully booked the weekend you were here, we did offer the wedding you were attending a substantial discounted room block which was well below the pricing in the area for such a busy weekend. We hope that you'll visit again and find our establishment as enjoyable as we try to make it. Thank you so much for taking the time to offer feedback.
