Welcome to the Beaumont Inn! This unique inn and restaurant sits on 50 acres in front of a beautiful mountain "beau-mont(agne)." Built in 1948 by Peter Masonis, purchased by the Vaskas brothers in 1957. The Beaumont Inn has a long history of excellent customer service and food. All 10 rooms have been completely remodeled and each has its own distinct design. The current owner has created amazing botanical gardens surrounding The Beaumont Inn with a collection of over 200 varieties of plants with the theme of a progression of bloom from March to November. We stayed here for our 5ht wedding anniversary. We were the only guests for the 2 nights we stayed so it was nice and quiet. Area is pretty easy to navigate, it's about 30 minutes from Ricketts Glen State Park. Cell signal is not very good and wifi in room wasn't powerful enough for us to stream on my tablet. Room was spacious and clean, bathroom was good sized and the shower was large. However the shower floor got very slippery once wet. There is no elevator that I saw and all the rooms are on the 2nd floor. Bed was large and comfortable. Pillows were actually good. Bit pricey but we spent the extra $ cause it was a special occasion. Also complimentary scones were at door each night, they were delicious. Only real complaint was that our room was quite humid, we got soaked at the park our 1st day and 2 days later some of our stuff is still damp even after we got home.

We stayed at the Beaumont Inn with another couple on a whim. The Inn is a little off the beaten path but trust me it is well worth it. Local attractions include Harveys Lake and the Falls at Ricketts Glen which are both a must. There are lots of other parks, trails and waterfalls nearby to enjoy. The grounds are meticulously maintained with beautiful flowers blooming everywhere, rock walls, quaint paths and even a creek with a water fountain in the back. This is a historic building but it is flawlessly maintained. The Inn has a warm romantic charm to it that we absolutely fell in love with. Room was very clean, comfortable, and well appointed with antiques. After enjoying a 5 star meal at their restaurant we retired to the bar for great ambience, friendly bar-staff and signature cocktails. Upon returning to our room we found two fresh scones on the tray outside of our door. What a nice surprise! The only drawback is there is no refrigerator in the room and no ice available on premises so plan accordingly. We certainly will not let that stop us from visiting again very soon. Beautiful grounds, friendly staff and a charming vibe that we will remember always… we can’t wait to visit again!

Food was just so so. Cannot hold a candle to the way the Inn use to be back in the 90s. Service was fair, food did not come out as described and everything is really overpriced. I remember when the waiters took your order without writing a thing down and everything was perfection. So much for progress

Stayed the weekend of 11/06/2020
There's no benefit to staying at the Beaumont inn.
1 Community coffee maker in the hallway ,that takes forever to heat up.
No staff around until 3pm or later
If traveling from far away there's no shot at early checkin
Shower was broken (took care of that by moving us to another room)
The New room had stained blankets
Nothing for guest to do while all the igloos are reserved by locals. probably should just be a restaurant. Maybe a few firepits would be nice for the guest to sit outside
Food was good and staff were nice
no one replies emails to the hotel
You should value you the hotel guest as much as you do the locals and give them a reason to want to stay there.

This review is only for the restaurant area and not anything else. First, let me say that the only reason I give them two stars is the outdoor space (where we were seated) is absolutely beautiful. The gardens, the stream, the meadow with the forest beyond....who could ask for a better venue. However, unfortunately there is an “however”, the service was incredibly slow. Now I know, it’s hard getting people back to work these days and staff everywhere is in sort supply, but our experience was just soooo slooooooow it warrants special mention. The staff, when they were able to attend to our table, were quite pleasant, helpful and professional. They just need more of them. We were there rather early and we were only the second table to be seated, so there really is no excuse for such slow service. It’s not as if there were a hundred patrons at the restaurant.

The new outdoor “tent” under which we were seated and which you might think was put in place to keep the sun and the rain off of the dining public, unfortunately really only serves as a “hot house”. The roof is clear and the sun shown on our table so as to make three of the guests very uncomfortable and the rest of us considered leaving. Although there are umbrellas at each table, it is impossible to angle them to actually block the sun from the faces of half of the table.

Now about the food.....the steak was flavorful, cooked perfectly and very tender. The salmon was cooked just right and the accompanying sauce was very nice. The other food choices at our table were wagu burger and eggplant parmigiana. Both were reported to be very good.

My Fiancée and I just dined here the other day. The server were professional but had to wait a while for the food. Excellent draft beer and mixed drinks. The food was excellent. We had Alligator bites for appetizers which were very good. I had the Elk (first time) which was excellent. And the potato fingers very tasty. The string beans al dente. She had a Lump Crab cake with a generous amount of Crab. Very nice ambience. We walk around the garden which is absolutely gorgeous. We dine all over and compared to places like Manhattan this place is reasonably priced. I definitely recommend this place and though it's not inexpensive the quality you get is definitely worth it.

Nice environment. Service was very good and the restaurant did an excellent job with COVID requirements. My parents had crab cakes and veal Marsala, which they enjoyed. Unfortunately, I ordered chicken Marsala, which was not very good. The sauce was not a Marsala sauce at all. It was a yellow sauce of sorts that had the consistency of a custard not a sauce. It looked nothing like the Marsala sauce on the veal and had little taste. Would I try the restaurant again, maybe, because the environment is nice, but I’m hesitant after the quality of my meal.

No overnight stay, so cannot comment as to accommodations. Our party was there for dinner to celebrate a recent birthday. Very scenic grounds. Well maintained property. Casual to very casual dress code. Menu had decent options for non red meat eaters. Servers were very friendly, responsive, but actual meal service was incredibly, incredibly slow for midweek. Entrees served 30+ minutes after we finished appetizers. When we got meals, quality of the food was average at best. Cake we had for dessert was dry, disappointingly. If in valley visiting, this is a great spot to enjoy the quaint ambiance & an ok to ordinary meal.

Very disappointed on how my wife was treated last night. We have been to the Beaumont numerous times and have never had an issue until now.

My wife fell on the steps leading to the igloo and her phone and purse went flying. Everyone in our party rushed over to see how she was and to help her up. Everyone accept the girl who seated us. She simply walked away and never said a word.

Today, my wife has her knee elevated because she is having trouble walking. A simple "are you okay" would have been nice.

If this is an indication on how the Beaumont treats their guests, I am very upset and will never return to this establishment again.

Dear Mr Fino, My sincere apologies regarding what happened the evening you dined with us. I have replied to both of the other reviews you posted about your experience at our establishment on Facebook and google business asking you to please contact me to discuss and give us the opportunity to correct what happened. I even went further and contacted the person who booked this reservation and was able to obtain your phone number since you were there guest and I didn’t have a contact for you. Then I called and left you a message to please contact me. I don’t know how much more we can do and again I want to apologize but you are not giving us that option. I’m sorry you feel slandering us all over social media is the best form of action. What happened was inexcusable and that is not how we treat people, unfortunately people do make mistakes and forgiveness is an incredible virtue.

Stayed over (didn't dine) while visiting family for the holidays. Very nicely done rooms and baths. I'm usually underwhelmed at places like this, but I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and staff were friendly. Very nicely landscaped grounds too.
