I have been coming by this way for several years. I have heard of this B&B from several people, railroad lover's. Went Sept-16-17-18. Relaxation is the key word here. Checking in was easy, one of the guest's gave me my key. No sign in desk. Tom, the owner came in much later and greeted me, told he would see me... More

The Station Inn has so much for a railfanner! It is clean. They serve a bountiful breakfast. But there are those darn rules. If you have children under 16, (ours were 15 and 14) who - in their zeal for the trains decide to venture closer for a better shot on their camera, why then, Tom will whip out a... More

This inn is very charming and at one time was a railroad hotel. It caters to rail fans and is run by very nice folks. The breakfasts are quite ample and no one goes away hungry. That being said the accomadations are very basic and there is no Ac. The weather was brutally hot and sleep was almost impossible due... More

Generous comfortable rooms, plentiful breakfasts, down-home hospitality ... and trains. Located adjacent to the tracks at the crest of the Allegheny rail divide, it is a favorite of railroaders who spend their days and evenings on the porch tracking local traffic - which is plentiful. Not enough? Its with ten minutes of the horseshoe curve which made the Allegheny (canal... More

A group of 3 of us from England stayed here, and we thought that the place was brilliant. The hotel is right across the road from the NS Pittsburgh line. Our bedrooms overlooked the line, and I have to say that I could hear trains running in the early hours of the morning. But this did not bother me. Our... More

It is just too hot here with no air conditioning. And Don 't go on Monday because there are too few trains. Friendly folks.Fellow rail fans love to share experiences. Good breakfast! Fall or Spring!!! Town is small. PJ's was great for dinner!

Clean and comfortable rooms. Only a few rooms so very friendly, personable atmosphere. Expect to participate in conversations with fellow guests. Complimentary soft drinks and cookies. Very nice breakfast. Bring a book to read on the massive front porch overlooking the NS Pittsburgh Line. Staff are friendly, and Innkeeper Tom Davis is a throwback with a great personality and has... Very nice room. Fantastic breakfasts and lots of trains. Heaven on earth for a railfan! Host (Tom) has great stories and always has time to sit and chat. Several restaurants are within walking distance. Vito's pizza is always a good choice. I have stayed here several times and look for any excuse to get back there.

At the Station Inn Tom, Sandy and crew work hard to make you feel at home. Great breakfast to start the day. Informal atmosphere, clean facilities and close proximity to numerous tourist attractions in the Johnstown and Altoona area make this a great place to stay. This is the place to stay if your a rail fan and train watcher.... More

A railfan's dream come true. The inn is cozy and comfortable and Tom the owner and Sandy who prepares breakfast daily can never do enough for you. We highly recommend this b and b to any serious rail fan.
