The cabins were owner operated and the owners were very helpful and friendly. I shared cabin 6 with my son's family. My son has 5 children ranging in age from 9 to 2. Cabin 6 sleeps 10. The cabin was perfect for us because it was large and we were able to all stay together.

Thank you so much for the great review. Just to clarify for others reading this, this was cabin 2 not cabin 6. Cabin 2 sleeps 10 , cabin 6 sleeps 4. You and your family were very nice and we hope to have you meet up here again in the future.

We called and spoke to Paula looking for a last minute weekend getaway. She was very accommodating and helpful. We stayed in Cabin 4 and we had a great weekend. The cabin had everything we needed and Paula told us exactly what was there and what we needed to bring, which was

We had a lovely visit to Cook Forest. We stayed in cabin 3. It was just enough for us. We weren't looking for all the bells & whistles. Just a clean place to lay our heads between hiking and exploring. The bed was very comfortable. I was too nervous to use the fireplace because

My husband and I stayed at cabin 6 on our Anniversary. We always read reviews on places we stay and laugh sometimes at peoples expectations and how the "little things" bother them.. We tend to look over the little things and review the place as a whole. However, the issue we

We will not discuss in length about this situation. WE have specific rules in place for a reason. When you went into the spa there was a little foam from the chemicals. But your hair was down and was in the water according to your photos. All of your hair products are now in my spa. We have photos of the aftermath of your time in it. There is scum all around the spa and gross dirty bubbles in the spa. We could not allow you to get away with it. It costs $50 just to heat the water, 8 hours of down time that no one can use the spa and the numerous chemicals and a trip to the spa service to have the chemicals checked. So yes $100 is not out of line for the charge. That is why we are specific to the terms of use and you are handed a paper that reminds you of what steps need to be taken. And that is why we do a damage deposit and a signed agreement .This is on you. No other guests were in the spa and my employee confirmed this. Just an FYI if you use self-tanners, this will come off your skin as well. I'm not saying that you did this but its a possibility for others. We are not in this business to turn people away and anger them. But we do have to protect ourselves and will. I'm sorry your experience was not as you would have liked.

Our cabin was beautiful, spacious, and clean. We loved the location and so much enjoyed having coffee in the morning and wine in the evening on the back deck and watching the woods for critters (sadly, we didn't see any!) I am rating this 4 instead of 5 for a few small

Thank you so much for your review. We appreciate your honesty. We don’t feel we skimp on anything. Coffee drinkers prefer their own blends and for us to provide coffee, it would be futile as most people have different tastes. We do not like to leave anything at all in the cabins that could draw in unwanted critters. We are in the woods so we have to be careful about ants, bees, mice and so forth. We don’t have them and we don’t want them. The a/c is an add on feature. Being we are in the woods the cabins stay cool. We lock the air conditioning because we charge per day for use to cover the cost of the electric. We offer more than most cabins near us. The WiFi and the satellite tv are free and are huge compared to coffee and creamer
