Rooms were clean and comfortable; hosts were VERY accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed and going above and beyond to meet our dietary preferences. (One member of our group is vegan.) Because we were biking (and there is a substantial (but not impossible!) hill between the GAP bike trail and the B&B), the hosts offered to pick us... More

Charming farmhouse just a short distance from town. The new owners were welcoming and accommodating. The rooms and bathroom were clean and had everything we needed. It was a very nice spot to relax and unwind--especially after a day of biking. Breakfast was really good and in the evening the hosts offered cheese and cracker plates. A roaring camp fire... More

My friend and I were riding the GAP from Cumberland to Pittsburgh and spent a night at Stepping Stone Farm. The farm is about a mile from the trail, but the owners offer a complimentary shuttle to and from the trail (which we didn't use). The room was clean and comfortable. The owners, Jeff and Kim, couldn't make us feel... More

We thought that the GPS was taking us for a journey to some wild place, down side roads, and smaller roads, through towns like Upper Turkey Foot, Lower Turkey Foot and Chicken Bone (hey, what's with all the weird poultry references?). Then we ended up on a narrow road and at Stepping Stone Farm. It's a well-kept small farm with... More

I drove to Stepping Stone Farm from Fallingwater through Ohiopyle State Park. What a pleasure to stop at the overlook marked by the symbol of a camera. Stepping Stone Farm was everything a B&B should be-- it is in a beautiful location close to nature and tourist attractions, the room I stayed in was beautifully furnished with restored antiques and... A group of 7 met here for a reunion and trip to Fallingwater. The owners were extremely accommodating and friendly- they even set up a campfire in the back yard for roasting marshmallows late into the evening. In the morning, we were invited to milk goats and feed the chickens. We had access to the kitchen for cooking our own... More

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Stepping Stone Farm in large part due to the warm and welcoming hosts, Larry and Vickie. They were extremely hospitable and we enjoyed many varied conversations with them over breakfast and tea. They were helpful in guiding us to the many local attractions and answering all our questions. Larry's breakfasts were delicious... More

We've been there 3 times now, and each time has been a gem. It is off the beaten path and a wonderful environment. Larry and Vicky are the greatest hosts. Our first trip there was as a family, then as a couple, and then as a family again. Most dry nights Larry will make a fire out back with some... More

My husband and I traveled in June. I got to scope out the farm bed and breakfast inn while driving by one day. I picked the "Green Garden Room" since it was a beautiful room with soothing green shades and antiques. Also, it was right next to the second floor balcony and was very private. We could go downstairs for... More

Stepping Stone Farm was a beautiful cozy place for our fun road trip. We spent two nights in the downstairs room. It was perfect. It was private with its own bathroom, two beds, small refrigerator, microwave and a comfy chair for reading. There is a train that runs right behind the farm, yet they conveniently provide earplugs at your bedside... More
