We stayed here while riding the GAP. It’s about 1/2 easy mile off the trail. Very clean. We had the 3rd floor “suite”, no shower but a fun claw foot tub, a very eclectic room ! The breakfast was outstanding and the host gracious. Recommend the Rivers Edge for dinner.

Really uncomfortable experience in covid times. Innkeeper made it clear that masks optional and she never wore one. Breakfast with other guests at same table without any distancing. Meals were family style and dishes had to be passed around. Innkeeper talked right over us with no mask. I regret not immediately getting up -- but we are nice people and not used to confronting an innkeeper. We have stayed in other B&Bs during covid - and all except this one used appropriate caution.

An easy-to-get-to place off the GAP, the Confluence House really came through for us. For three almost past middle-aged bicyclists, we couldn't have had nicer stays. The bedrooms were big enough to spread out in and the air conditioners and ceiling fans felt fantastic after several hours of 90 degree summer days. But the real gem was Sandy. She had lemon muffins waiting on the counter for her guests in the evening and her deconstructed omelette was the perfect start for us. One member of our party had gotten hurt coming into Confluence and she did everything she could to help him out. Making calls to find a shuttle for him and letting him stay and remain comfortable. She was fantastic. Her husband joined us at breakfast our return trip through and he is a Confluence native. So he knew everything about the railroad history of the town and provided valuable advice for some hikers that were there. We could have sat and talked with them for hours. The House was everything you could ask of a Bed and Breakfast and more.

Accommodations were wonderful. Any antique lover will be pleased as there are many authentic details in the house. The hostess, Sandy, was friendly and welcoming. She knows much of the local history. Her breakfast was delicious and farm-to-table!

Confluence is just the right place to get away from it all and the Confluence House completed the feel. A warm inviting home, you are greeted with fresh baked goods on arrival. The rooms are all well appointed, some have a private bath, others share. All rooms are upstairs, so if steps are an issue, this may not be the place for you. The common areas are done with old stuffed furniture that make you want to curl up and read a good book. Our bedroom was very cute, done with the right amount of antique touches. The bathroom had a lovely claw foot bathtub. Breakfast in the morning had a little bit of everything and was delicious. If you leave hungry, that is your own fault. All in all a very nice place to hang your hat for a quiet day or two away from it all.
