This is a lovely place, beautifully decorated, very cozy and attractive. Rooms are comfortable. A few issues make this 4 star, not 5: It's rather dark outside, if you are returning alone after dark, and no one is on the property later in the day....More
We planned this one-night stop en route to our vacation destination. It was so much more rewarding than a motel near the interstate. We walked to downtown for dinner that evening. The stay was wonderful with delicious breakfast that included almond torte and poached pears.
We just needed lodging for a single overnight stay in Chambersburg - this was a great choice. Conveniently located to downtown. Beautiful house, responsive hosts and a good nights sleep. Breakfast was also nicely done.
