We were travelling back from DC to NJ and decided to stay somewhere half way home. Brought up a map and Tripadvisor and came up with Carlisle, PA. and the Pheasant Field B & B. So lucky we did. What a beautiful property, exceedingly comfortable bed, spacious suite (the Library) and the most gracious hosts, Kit & Robin. Oh, I forgot, also the most delicious breakfast we've ever been served in a B & B. Be sure to walk across the street to the pond and natural habitat, sit and enjoy the peace and quiet.

It is so obvious that Kit & Robin love this property and business and make every guest feel at home. We will go out of our way to stay here again. A special place!

Kit and Robin are everything you hope for and more in hosts of a lovely B&B in a quiet and beautiful Pennsylvania town. Breakfast was impeccable every morning, and the herbs used were picked fresh from their garden which was a lovely touch. The room was very comfortable, and there was plenty to do in the area for dining and entertainment.

Robin & Kit have figured it out...how to assure configure their 200+ year old home to meet the demands of 21st century travelers. Well water? Yep, filtered twice. Electrical outlets? You'd be amazed. Breakfast? Made to order, savory or sweet.
Most of all these folks know how to make their guests feel welcome. Communication before during and after our stay(s) couldn't have been more prompt, thorough or friendly.
Having been COVID-bound at home for more than a year, we scoured the landscape for innkeepers who seemed to understand what it would take to make us feel safe and as secure as possible in the face of Coronavirus. They not only promise to cleanse surfaces, they assure us they leave every room vacant for at least a day to air them out between quests. We were so impressed by that we booked Pheasant Field coming and going sight unseen for a stop in both directions on our trip from southern Virginia to the Catskills of New York.
We're so glad we did. We shall return.

My husband and I really enjoyed our two nights day at Pheasant Field B &B in Carlisle Pennsylvania. The accommodations were exquisite. We stayed in the library suite with a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub. We had lots of space to spread out.
The breakfasts we're delicious. The chefs Kit and Robin use fresh vegetables from their garden and other local produce. The eggs were fresh from their own hens on the premises. Their freshly made scones were light and tasty. The breakfast room is lovely with old brick walls and a fireplace ; Very conducive to relaxing.

The pastoral surroundings included a fountain, horses, and lots of grassy areas in which to walk.

The owners, Kit and Robin, were very friendly and accommodating. We felt right at home although we had never been to Carlisle Pennsylvania before!

We originally planned our stay around a guided hiking experience with Adventure Explorations. After our 3-hour hike through the Appalachian trail it was wonderful to come back to the fireplace and the jacuzzi tub in our suite at Pheasant Field B &B.

We will definitely stay there again to explore more of the surrounding area and experience the comfortable welcoming atmosphere of Pheasant Field B&B.

My husband and I stayed recently while visiting the area for some sightseeing and hiking. We loved strolling the grounds to see the well-cared-for house, rooms, and barns. We were also able to enjoy a relaxing walk around the pond with some lively, entertaining ducks adding to the picture!
Our hosts were very helpful and breakfast was yummy - I loved the fresh eggs.
We will definitely return if we get to this area again!

My husband and I had a delightful stay at this charming, quiet inn tucked into a beautiful setting not far from historic Carlisle, PA. The inn keepers were welcoming, helpful and anticipated our every need without feeling the least intrusive. Our spacious room was impeccably clean and comfortable, with lovely quilts and plush towels in the bathroom. When we looked out our window, we could see the stone barn built in the 1700s and beyond that, pastures and horses. Our breakfast was delicious and served out on the patio under an umbrella. We enjoyed the amazing frittata made with fresh eggs and fresh fruit and scones to go with it. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The Pheasant Field Bed & Breakfast is comfy, quiet, and well-appointed. Hosts Kit and Robin take good care of guests, ensuring fires are lit out back in the fire pit as well as inside in the cozy living room. The breakfasts were first rate, and we got great recommendations for places to eat, etc. Our room was HUGE and comfy--we will definitely stay here again if we're in the area. The B&B is less than a mile from a parking area for the Appalachian Trail, which is one of the reasons we chose it.

What a lovely four night stay at this charming 1800's home! The property was equally delightful with a barn dating to to the 1700's. The room was a spacious king and extra day bed. Plenty of space to settle in. Fresh purified water available. Whether you want to meet the boarded horses, enjoy the roaming chickens, or watch the ducks and geese from a rocker on the front porch, it is all so peaceful. Our hosts were most accommodating. Deliciously brewed coffee, fantastic savory and sweet choices, and the breakfast presentation was magazine quality. Location was perfect; a short distance to town, Dickinson College, museums, restaurants, and even a hawk-watching scenic lookout! And I walked the Appalachian Trail for several miles with an entry point just 1.5 mile from Pheasant Field. Lastly the sheets! Worth noting! The most comfortable ever, I even bought two sets for my house. An all-around pleasant get-away at Pheasant Field B&B. And don't worry about Covid! They have this safely and fully covered! Excellent stay.

My best friend and I live far away from one another and were looking for somewhere we could "meet in the middle" for a weekend trip. We were so lucky to find Pheasant Field B&B! The property is beautiful, and so easy to walk over to the AT for a perfect morning hike. We were in the "Pet-sylvania Room" which had many thoughtful touches for my friend's dog to feel comfortable. The breakfast was incredible both days, and the host is so warm and lovely to interact with! We had surprisingly warm weather for November, and my friend and I spent the whole afternoon sitting on the patio in the sun and enjoying the ambiance. Would definitely return!

Amazing breakfast. Homemade scones every morning, along with a choice of a delicious egg dish made from ingredients grown on property, or a savory waffles/pancakes/french toast (best waffles I've ever had). Plus delicious strawberries and blueberries. The B&B itself is incredibly charming with great outdoor space to sit and walk, along with cute, clean, and modern rooms. The owners are incredibly helpful and gave us great suggestions about what to do in the area, and even drove to pick us up on a moment's notice on our way back from a hike when it started to pour. They're also really fun to talk to!

I don't know if the B & B is a lunch-only type of venue; did you contact them? If they're not amenable, try the tearoom right in Carlisle, Camellia's Sin. Wonderful food, atmosphere, and service, not to mention a dangerous (for spending money!) gift shop. I reviewed the tearoom on Trip Advisor, so you can see what I wrote. Good luck!
