I needed to get away for a weekend, and spend time away from people at the holidays. I called Martinville after looking at places nearby that where charging $300-$400 / night and then finding articles about how they had pest problems. From the moment, I called I was pleased with my experience. I was greeted in a friendly manor and...

The cottage is extremely outdated and old. The smell will hit you as soon as u walk in. No towels no coffee no paper towels. The view is nice but trust me that is where you will want to stay(outside). At night there was drunk people outside screaming and fighting. Who were the owners family. The furniture is nasty. The...

We had the Evergreen suite. Where do I begin. It's OLD!!! And once you get past that....the bath was just horrible. I wish I had bothered to read the reviews here - I had the same issue as many other people - the water is metallic and smells of rust! All the plumbing in there is completely rusted. The stench...

We booked the Garden Cottage in February. When we arrived we were sent to the Tree Top Cottage. After talking with the people there they ended up giving us the Garden Cottage. We should of stayed in the Tree Top. The couch, chair and love seat were so dirty (flat pillows, black with dirt, stained) that nobody sat on them...

There are many nice places to stay in the Canadensis area. This is not one of them. The water is metalic and undrinkable, the floors so dirty that your feet turn black and the cabins are dated and falling apart. After arriving, our first stop was WalMart to buy new bed linens, pillows and towels as the cabin's were old...

This is our 2nd time here. It's beautiful and calming. The cabins are clean and Molly and her staff make you feel at home. Already planning trip #3. Each cabin has its own outside area with a firepit and picnic area on the deck. Love this place!

This place has a wonderful view and is in a nice setting, the young girl that greeted us was so sweet. That's all I can say good about this place. I understand everything takes money, but come on , the sofa looked like it came out of the trash, along with the sheets and ,well everything. And bleach and sos...

I found Martinville cottages on the tripadvisor site, and I'm very glad I did! I decided this would be the perfect Christmas gift for my boyfriend. We stayed in the 'Love Shack' but it was far from a shack! We loved having a full size kitchen, that came fully equipped with dishes, cups, plates, pots pans and utensils. The fact...

This little enclave of cottages is in a forest setting which includes a running brook and a little pond. Absolutely gorgeous. We stayed here for a few days the week between Christmas and New Year’s. It was great. Our little cottage was almost like having our own home. The cottage was strung with Christmas lights and decorated inside with holiday...

“This is on a main road. If you are a VERY light sleeper you might want one of the cottages set back in the woods.”

“Take a cover for the couch, spring water for drinking, liquid soap for the kitchen, paper towels, Kleenex, extra pillows for the bed if you want more than one, hair dryer, extra towels if you like more than one, shower mat, fire starter and kindling if you want to get a fire started, and eye shades cause its very bright in the cottage, especially with the broken blinds. Expect to pay more than it is worth. there are many other cottage/cabin businesses in the area-compare!”

“All the cottages offer something different. from 1-3 bedrooms. Some have wood burning fireplaces, gas fireplaces, some have wood burning stoves. All are set in a peaceful setting on a stream.”
