Recently stayed 2 nights with Carol at Locust Brook Lodge and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Carol keeps a lovely home with a wonderful view from all sides. We visited in rainy weather and still found the atmosphere cozy and inviting. Carol allowed us to switch rooms at the last minute without blinking an eye. We will be back! Thanks for...

My wife and I stayed at Locust Brook while visiting Slippery Rock University October, 2016. Woke up day 1 to a rooster telling us it was time to begin our day. It's wonderful country home and is one of the best properties in Butler County. Great made to order breakfast and hot coffee. This is a great place to rest...

Carol, the proprietress, is extremely friendly, gracious and accommodating. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, the linens spotless. The breakfasts were varied and beautifully presented - and included eggs from the farm's own hens, and some type of fruit every morning. There is a refrigerator available for guest's use on the lower level. In better weather (our stay was...

Each and every time my stay has been above reproach. The rooms are well maintained and the proprietor, Carol, is always pleasant and attentive to any needs of myself and family even suggesting interesting places that add charm to the Butler area. I love the country farm setting and am always relaxed and rejuvenated by the time we check out....

Locust Brook Lodge is the next best thing to going to stay at my Mom's. It's only a few minutes from Butler and about 30 minutes from Slippery Rock if I want to meet with high school friends. No matter how early I get up, Carol is up and getting ready for the day so, coffee is fresh and hot....

We were visiting nearby and needed pet friendly accommodations for two nights. I read the reviews here, and felt safe to book, it's my first B&B experience. I've camped, stayed in 2 star to 4 star rated hotels and as long as it's clean, I'm happy... Check in went fine, we found out that we didn't get the rooms we...

Carol P, Owner at Locust Brook Lodge Bed & Breakfast, responded to this review

My check-in time is between 3:00 and 8:00 PM. On the day of these guest's visit there were five rooms booked, all of whom checked in before 3:00. With hind sight my best move would have been to tell everyone to come back at 3, but I wanted to be a good hostess. That set off a whole series of...

I would advise anyone who would like a peaceful country night sleep to stay here. The banana nut bread is the best I have ever eaten. The rooms are extremely clean. The rates are reasonable. The owner is very pleasant and I felt VERY safe during my stay.

Not our first stay here, nor will it be our last. I always feel like I am coming to my home away from home when staying in Butler. Carol always treats us like family and there is a genuine warmth about her. Her daughter is also a very nice person and we enjoy joking with her (especially my husband). Love...

We were in town for a family wedding and Ms. Carol really, really took care of us. We felt like we were part of her family. We had a tightly scheduled weekend and Carol was particularly accommodating. The relaxed tranquility of this lovely little inn helped us find peace amid the running hither and yon. Locust Brook Lodge was a...

Carol keeps the place spotless, and you have all the amenities of a hotel, without the hotel feel. You'll pass some chickens & cows on your way up the gravel path, but that's all part of the charm of staying in a bed/breakfast. Let her know when you're waking up, and she'll be up to get you what you want....
