This might be one of the best weekend getaways we have ever taken! The customer service was phenomenal. Every single person we came across, was kind, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. The cabin we stayed in was so well appointed, the fireplace was ready to go, The furniture was very comfortable and it was beautifully decorated. The outdoor activities, and the team that ran them, were so much fun, there’s som thing to do for everyone! After a full day outside, it was such a treat to walk in to one of the most beautiful dining rooms I have been in and have a dinner prepared , that was absolutely delicious. I eat mostly plant-based and the chef and team accommodated that. It was such a treat! We highly recommend the Glendorn!

Our previous visit to Glendorn was exceptional so its hard to think how this visit could have been better . . . but it was. Our cabin was cozy and very well appointed. The food was unique and very professionally prepared. The wine list is world class. Every employee we encountered was friendly, helpful and very professional. And you can't beat the setting. We can't wait to go back.

It's hard to find this combination of a classy main lodge with incredible food and hospitality then returning to your cabin to enjoy a warm fire and relax or head out for a hike, fish, shoot or outdoor fire! It's the ultimate place for our annual pre-Christmas celebration and well deserving of its R & C designation!

My husband and I had an incredible couple of nights at The Lodge at Glendorn. I wish we could have stayed longer, as there were so many things we didn’t have time to do. The cabin we stayed in was the oldest on the property, extremely charming and with two wood burning fireplaces. Visiting in the early fall was ideal. The leaves were gorge at the very end of September, and the weather was perfect to take hikes during the day and enjoy the fire at night. We were able to bring our dogs along, and with such a large property to explore, this was such fun. The food and service in the main lodge was absolutely wonderful. I hope we get to visit again next fall!

Glendorn is one of the most peaceful, magical places one can go! The entire staff is beyond friendly and go out of the way to make you feel like you are the most important person there! I can't wait to go back and look forward to taking friends and family for years to come!

Glendorn is a very special place. My husband and I were only there for 2 nights. We did a jeep tour soon after arrival which gives you a great introduction to the property. We stayed in the Green Suite in the main lodge and loved the comfort and charm-lovely. If you are going to Glendorn with a group you should book a cabin, can’t go wrong with any of them. The food is excellent, no matter the meal. Very attentive staff in every area of service. We were treated as well by Mother Nature, beautiful fall foliage

If you ever want to spend a luxurious time in one of Relaix and Chateau's premier resorts, look no further than the Lodge at Glendorn. My wife and I were spending our anniversary there this past weekend and not only were the leaves at their peak, the service, the dining experience, and the lodging at Dale's Cabin were nothing short of first class all the way. Extremely comfortable setting. Chef Haick's culinary creations are fantastic and the fine linens, tastefully decorated lodge and cabins are really something to experience. There is also lots to do at Glendorn with skeet shooting, nationally acclaimed fly fishing, hiking, mountain biking and snowshoeing in the winter. Skiing right up the road in Ellicottville, NY as well. The staff is so warm and friendly and will comply with most any request. You can get out into the 1200 acres on the property and feel like you are a million miles away in a natural surrounding, and then return to a luxurious setting and relax around one of the many fireplaces on the property and in the rooms in the lodge and cabins. Treat yourself to a really amazing experience. We have been to Glendorn 10 times already and always are sad to leave. It is hard to describe to people. You just have to go there to experience it for yourself. Make the effort and go. Guaranteed you will book a return reservation.

This is not what I expected from a Relais Châteaux resort The lodge is old and tired. The main dinning hall was dark and uncomfortable. No music, poor service, and bad decor. This is not a $500 a night resort, not even close. The rooms where also old and tired imagine lodge meets 1950s bathroom. Our tvs hardly ever worked. (3 repair trips) The food was awesome but that’s about it.

Response from Cliff Forrest, Owner at The Lodge at Glendorn
Responded Oct 6, 2022
Dear Krisr856, We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay at Glendorn. What you did not like is what our guests love. That is that we have preserved the period look and feel of this property that dates back to the first cabin built in 1927. The Main Lodge was built in 1929. Our guests feel staying at Glendorn is like a step back in time. We have invested significant capital to maintain the lodge and cabins to their original look and ambiance. You can review the past five years of Trip Advisor's for Glendorn and read others thoughts. The Guesthouse you were upgraded to was built in the 1940's. All the furniture has been completely redone preserving the period feel. Happy you did enjoy the cuisine which is an important part of the Glendorn experience.

What a wonderful place! The staff was very attentive. The property is amazing with many activities offered for all seasons. A special shout out to Shane who was our guide for shooting and a Jeep tour around property. He did an amazing job. Megan did a great job showing us to our cabin. You can tell the staff here love their jobs. I wish only we could have stayed longer.
