I really enjoyed the lovely venue for a wedding with beautiful patio gardens and excellent food offerings for breakfast and the wedding itself. The staff is friendly and the restaurant/breakfast manager is outstanding, James B. The "stand-up" morning food manager is outgoing, friendly and generous with the Manhattan bagels. He will go out of his way to accommodate the guests and make you feel like you have a friend in this hotel. We stayed in one of the beautiful homes onsite and it definitely made the wedding event a staycation!
This is an older hotel that could use an update. Rooms smell a bit musty. Walls are thin. However it’s very clean and staff were kind and helpful. There are snack and drink vending machines near the room. The on-site restaurant is delicious and its outdoor patio is beautiful. The hotel charges a 10 dollar resort fee which is not totally legal. Even though these fees don’t actually cover amenities and are just a way to up charge while decreasing tax liability for hotels, I was especially frustrated to pay one when staying at the hotel only for a funeral nearby and spending barely any time there. This hotel might not be my first choice but it’s fine for a night.
I booked this to attend a funeral and told the staff. However, from the moment we drove in to the moemet we keft (2 nioghts there were problems). The first was that a giant SUV blocked the entire entrance and both aytendant srushed to help them, cvompletely ignoring us. I eventually squeezed by and unoladed my own luggage , struggling, but no on offered help either from the car to reception or reception to our room, I should also note there were 4 employees at the recption desk. I speficially aked for a cot and for a room away from the wedding partiers. Instead we got a room a long distance from thr lrevator and smack in the middle of wedding guests who woke us up both nights loudly between 1 a.m and 3. The cot had to be requested a second time and was provded while we were out of the room., but not set up, just left leaning on a wall. the front desk did not answer so we had to move furniture lift and oput sheets on the heavy cot ourselves after a 2.5 hour drive. Returning late afternon from the funeral the next day and quite tired, the room was not made up but the maid staff was down the hall and we assumed would get to us while we steppoed out to use the pool. They did not. Again, no nanswerrt from front desk and too tired to do anyhting but eat and sleep. tried to order room service, yep, no answer. finally reached the front tdesk after over 20 minutes and though they were "sorry: offefed nothing. In short, if you;'re not part of a wedding, you're forgotten, the staff overall was neglectful and unprofessional. The room was just OK (quite basic) and the carpet seemd dirty and worn, badly needing replacing. NOT WORTH THE price. Should have stayed siomegwwre else.…
My family stayed here for a wedding. Although the sleeping rooms are adequate and clean, this is a hotel that hosts many events and excessive noise in the hallways was a problem every night that we were there (past midnight). One night, we finally called the front desk after 40 minutes of partying outside our room and waited another 15 minutes while they "called security." There is a clearly posted "quiet policy" for noise after 9 pm which they apparently do not enforce. I would advise those looking to host an event at this facility to avoid it because the noise level in the event rooms is excessive. We had to yell into each others ears during the reception because the noise of 100 voices was overwhelming. It appears that there is no noise-mitigation build into the rooms. The wedding we attended utilized three of the event spaces and all of them had this problem. Food, even event food, was adequate to good. Staff were pleasant. It was a well managed hotel except for the fact that we were unable to get a good night sleep due to the noise from wedding attendees. Over the weekend we were there for three nights, there were at least 4 weddings with rehearsal dinners and receptions, so beware of weekends.…
The grounds are very beautiful with lots of old buildings. The ballrooms were stunning and food at the provided breakfast, from Farmers Daughter, and during the wedding was very good. Hotel room was very basic. No microwave or mini fridge. Small single serve coffee maker. The place was bustling with multiple weddings on Friday and Saturday which made getting food at the Farmers Daughter very slow (45min for lunch meat sandwiches… which were $15/ea but did come with fries). The hotel seemed clean in all areas and the staff was very attentive. They had ample staff compared to other hotels we stayed at on our trip. We were overcharged by $124, they refunded $120, but what happened to the other $4?
The rooms were wonderful with everything you might need and super clean. The breakfast buffet was better then most restaurants. Parking was great! There is a pool and fitness area. On the main floor close to our room was a business area with vending and 24/7 espresso and coffee. However the wifi was rather slow. Also, we did not realize on top of the room rate there was an additional facility charge. We were there for a wedding which allowed for everything to be at the one venue- very convenient we never got in the car until we left.
Centrally located in Blue Bell, along busy Rt 202, the property is very comfortably furnished and offers complete restaurant and bar facilities along with a small continental breakfast selection. Front desk is friendly and helpful. Really no complaints.
great staff, very helpful finding us a suitable room. Rooms really need to be upgraded. The furnishing in the lobby look great but the rooms are worn, and old. Need an upgrade. Also, they need to add an extra roll of toilet tissue to the bathroom, glasses in the room. It was bare and not an inviting room. The staff however were helpful and the best part of the stay.
I saw that they were advertising WFH (Work From Hotel), which is a stay without the overnight. This was absolutely perfect for me because I was having my house deep cleaned. Not wanting to be in the way and since I had work to do, I contacted Normandy Farms. Suzanne and Emily were great. They helped me to select a comfortable room for the day. The room was clean and the fireplace made it cozy. As a local, I had been to the restaurant a few times but never saw the rooms. I'm now considering it for a holiday staycation because I liked it so much. Every staff member that I encountered was friendly and accommodating. Absolutely recomended.
For what we were charged, the toilet seat should have been secured to the toilet, they should have provided a refrigerator for my insulin, there shouldn't have been people running up and down the hallways at 12:30 AM and a handful of other things. Also, the bridal suite was not cleaned from the previous event and there was garbage and half eaten food all over. Finally, the staff would not let us open a bottle of sacramental wine for the wedding ceremony (two glasses for the bride and groom) due to their "alcohol policy". They call this hotel a "wedding factory" and it's definitely run like a factory. Don't stay here unless you absolutely have to for your event, and you'll have to sneak in your own corkscrew of you have a bottle of sacramental or kosher wine for your wedding.
