Peaceful Woodlands Family Campground is a family owned and operated campground. Under new ownership as of June of 2013, this campground was lovingly and creatively built by Paul and Barbara Wieand and their family in April of 1977. Much of the natural design of the land has been retained which makes for a beautifully wooded campground with most sites surrounded by a small grove of trees. Our campground features many family friendly activities onsite and close by. Located in the heart of the Pocono Mountains on 50 acres, our campground sits at the base of the Dixon Miller Recreation Area (Elevation 2212ft) which is one of the highest accessible points overlooking the Pocono Plateau. Relax and reconnect with nature while enjoying quality time with family and friends. Whether you pitch a tent, own a camper, or rent a cabin or camper from us, our goal is to provide warm hospitality and fun activities with hope that your stay will be one to remember.

Detailed Reviews
This is a very nice campground. Very clean and well kept. The owners are very nice and quickly respond to email inquiries. We booked for a bachelorette/bachelor weekend we did camping and rafting and we booked 5 sites in the c section the sites we nice and big and had water and electricity. We also used the tent rental service they offered which was very convenient. We got there and the tent was already set up. It was big and sturdy. One of the days it rained alot it was a torrential downpour and this tent held up, water didnt get into it which I was surprised since it really rained alot. The campground has a pool and a playground. A small mini golf area and a field with a volley ball net. The camp store had the essential things and also had complementary coffee in the morning which was actually really tasty and very nice of them to offer. Inside they also had a small game room with a pool table. The shower and bathrooms were well kept and clean everytime I was in them. The shower pressure was good and there was hot water even when all the showers where in use. There were 3 shower stalls and the showers were free. I will def be recommending this campground to friends and family and will def stay here again.

We tent camped on two carefully selected adjacent sites so we had decent privacy for our family/friends group of 7 people. The campground is nicely wooded, but the sites are very close together. The stone fire pits were nice and sturdy, but no grill is provided. Bring your own if you plan on cooking over the wood fire, and you might need to shovel ash out before you can use the fire pit. There is no dish cleaning sink, just a cold water faucet. Really not set up for true tent campers.
The main restrooms and showers were superb! Very clean, with ample hot water and a heater light in the changing area.
The one problem we had with really loud music after quiet hours was quickly addressed. Delivery from the on-line store directly to our campsite was an unexpected bonus.
It is not exactly “peaceful” during the day with a highway, racetrack and shooting range nearby, but the evenings and nights were quiet.
All-in-all, a mostly favorable experience.

Beautiful place for camping with friends, we opted for partial hookups which included water and electricity hookup that helped a lot during the cold night. This was our first camping experience and it was amazing only problem was the ground was bit rough so had trouble setting up the tent and our toddler was unable to run due to rough stones. Rest was nice they also provide fire ring and the place was clean, specially the bathrooms were really clean and well maintained.Over all loved and enjoyed our trip

I just was at your campground and spent a week there enjoying our time there with minor incidents. There were 2 young campers that terrorized our sons making it hard for them to want to go about their day and to fun. These boys were young to pre teens and even acted like us as adults couldn’t tell them right from wrong. I had friends that went to your campground per my recommendation with their special needs son that you kicked out due to these same boys. You had no issue with my 1 year old daughter finding it hard to accumulate to the camping nighttime routine but you quickly kicked out this family with a special needs child due to your permanent campsite members terrorizing my friend’s son. I find this very much dispicable and downright disgusting and illegal. I wanted to come back and enjoy another week of fun but now that I know the morals and downright disrespect you have for children of special needs children. I will take my money and family elsewhere and make sure noone I kow ever goes to your campsite again. If this is how to treat your regular campers vs your weekly campers I am utterly disgusted.

The campsite was easy to find and right near a lot of good hiking trails and outdoor adventure. They did a great job of posting COVID restrictions and reminders, and their facilities were clean and well maintained. The sites are close together so good for groups, but does lack some privacy if that’s what you are looking for when you camp. Overall, great fall weekend getaway.

Really liked this campground. Nice wooded/shaded hillside with plenty of space between campsites. Well maintained. Quiet, even though it is apparently a campground that ATV'ers like due to the ATV trail access at the back of the campground. Plenty of ATV's were parked at camping sites but I only saw one heading back to the trail the 4 days I stayed. NASCAR's Pocono Raceway is 2 miles away- I'd imagine it might get loud on race days, so consider that if you'd be bothered. Friendly staff. I was in an RV.

We are not renting tents this year due to the current situation. We have limited camping supplies available in our store.
