We visited this lovely pub/restaurant a few weeks ago having been there before on numerous occasions. We ate there two nights running and again we were not disappointed - the food was delicious, locally sourced and cooked exactly as ordered. Henry was in his usual good witty form making both evenings most enjoyable. A fantastic pub in beautiful location. Hope... More

A friend and I had been looking for somewhere for lunch and took a wrong turning ending up at the Bell. It was a lovely day, and fairly busy, with a lot of people sitting out on the front of the pub. We chose to sit inside, which was roomy & welcoming with tables far enough apart that you didn't... More

This place has some fabulous reviews on trip advisor but I have to say I didn't see it. The waiter (maybe the landlord?) who welcomed us was very funny and entertaining and it promised to be a good night. Sadly, this was not the case. The goats cheese starter was really over cooked. It was deep fried but the batter... More

It is not difficult to explain why this lovely village inn is a special venue. The beautiful rose garden, the warm welcome on arrival and the first class quality of the food and service. The dining area itself is quaint with low beams and wooden tables and the atmosphere buzzing with chat and laughter. Our genial host Henry and his... More

The beer was a treat and the service for our meal was excellent. The staff were most welcoming and the food was superb! We were particularly made to feel most welcome by the manager/owner who took our entire meal order starters and main by memory, no mean feat as there were 11 of us! Nothing more to say really but... We went to the Bell for Lunch for my mother-in-laws 80th Birthday and it was really good. The menu has a lot of choices and all home cooked food to a high standard. The puddings were very scrummy. We went on a Tuesday lunchtime and it was busy so booking is definitely adviseable. I'd highly recommend eating here. The Landlord... More
