Beautiful old house in the middle of nowhere Main St--reminded me of Mayberry USA. Quiet room, despite no vacancies. Sumptuous, wonderful breakfast. Friendly, unobtrusive staff.Coffee & tea available 24/7. Other lodgers were hikers visiting Ricketts Glen. We used it as an overnight after a bridal shower.

We had two rooms. Each room is spacious with extra large bathrooms. The beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing - we had Soufflé, French toast, bacon, fresh fruit and muffins. The muffins are made fresh each day with a different variety each day. They are located about 10 minutes from the park.

A friend and I had planned a trip to go to Ricketts Glen and a couple of other parks in the area for a short 4 day get away. We were instantly drawn to this bed and breakfast online due to the location, price, and reviews. We can say, we certainly were not disappointed in our decision! The owners were...

Warm welcome, comfortable room, huge, delicious breakfast. We stayed in the Daylily Room in the back. It was quiet and private. Sharon has the most well supplied bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in. She is so helpful about area activities.

A friend and I met up for the weekend to see the falls at Ricketts glen and stayed here. The innkeepers were friendly and very helpful in giving us tips on accessing the falls, places to eat, etc. breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I appreciated the stock of water that was always available as well.

The owners were helpful and friendly. They provided many brochures and information to help us plan our visit to the area. We stayed in the Lady Di room which was lovely. It faced the main street and we found it difficult to sleep with the street lights shining through the windows. The door to the hallway had a window above...

We are correcting the issue with the hall light shining in to the bedroom by adding a little curtain which should stop the brightness of the light. We must keep the light on so the other guests can get to their rooms safely. Once everyone is in their room the hall light is turned off and the night light provides...

After a day of hiking at Rickett's Glen State Park, we traveled the ten miles down Route 487 to the Mattress & Muffin in tiny Benton, PA. Sharon, the innkeeper, met us at the door, gave us a tour and showed us to our room. The house (built around 1904) has 5 guest rooms, each with its own full bath....

The waterfalls at Ricketts Glen were the best part of our mini-vacation, but our stay at M&M B&B was a very close second. It was clean, the bathroom in our room (the Princess Di room) was huge and wonderful, with a whirlpool tub (which helped relax our muscles after days of strenuous hiking), and Sharon and Dan were wonderful, friendly...

This B and B was outstanding. I had a spacious room with a comfortable bed. Big bathroom with a jet powered tub. The town of Benton was a perfect way to top off my hiking or biking. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, yogurt, egg soufflé and breakfast meat. Yum! Sharon was a gracious host and made her guests feel...

I recently traveled to Benton, PA for a fishing trip. Mattress and Muffin was recommended by the fishing guides. Great recommendation. Sharon and Dan, the host-owners, are friendly and helpful. Sharon whips up a great breakfast and sends you off for the day with extra muffins. I enjoyed my stay and plan to return for my next fishing trip.

“If we had realized, we would have driven to the Ricketts Glen Hotel for dinner because it is on the water, and would have given the evening a better ambiance in leiu of retiring back to Mattress & Muffin, but there is always next time.”

“There are trade-offs when choosing a room. The most luxurious is the Princess Di room, but it is right on the main street so you do get some traffic noise. The Elizabeth Taylor Rose room is a little smaller but quieter. I stayed in the Violet room, perfect for one person and the most comfortable chaise lounge I've ever been in. If you want to be near the breakfast table, book the Parrot Tulip room, the only room on the first floor.”
